Murielle

Murielle remains as one of the most popular deities found throughout Erilen. Created as an agent and warrior for Amelia, Murielle one of the two 'Great Protectors' of the world. Murielle is known for ruling over the three gardens of Heaven, a realm that contains the souls of those that do good in life.


Spheres of Influence: Murielle is a figure of justice and mercy; her followers strive to spread mutual benevolence for the greater good of the world.


Symbol: Her scythe


Depiction: A giantess with pure white skin and hair, surmounted by a pair of massive angelic wings. She's always depicted with her legendary scythe.

Month: Murielle's month is Marei; the second month of Summer.


Relations

Xalon: Murielle and Xalon both serve as the protectors of Erilen, and work together in preventing incursions from outside forces. The two naturally get along quite well, but Murielle prefers handling things differently; she sees  'Glory' as something that should be left behind in favor of justice.

Amelia(Mother): Though not a technical child by any means, Murielle was said to be crafted from a piece of Amelia's soul. The two love eachother endearingly, and Murielle will rush to Amelia's add at any given moment.





Churches and Clergy



	Followers of Murielle seek to spread mutual benevolence for the greater good of the world. The Mareien Church is usually well decorated; with a large courtyard that always sports a vast garden. The garden is often where most of the worshipers do their meditating, as opposed to the actual shrines. The Shrines are typically where the warriors and priests of her faith lie, where they both spread teachings and carry out certain duties (such as the cleansing of demons, for example.)

	As stated before, the followers of Murielle have an end goal of essentially enkindling world peace. Despite this, they are certainly not above taking arms against those that wish to oppose this ideal.




Holy Texts

The Three Choirs: A pristine white book. The Three Choirs states Murielle's doctrines and edicts, the organization of heaven, details on her angelic servants, and is often coded with a few sorceries to help stray fiends.




Notable Equipment

Misericordia: Murielle's Scythe; it is said that those struck by her scythe are inflicted with wounds that empty their veins, bleeding out within seconds of her strike.





Rituals

The Midsummer Blades: During the 15th of Marei, the Midsummer blades takes place. It is during this festival that numerous contests are held; such as jousting and combat. What most followers find interesting is that during the Midsummer Blades, the follower's weapon will give off a radiant glow should anything intend to place harm upon them.
