  4. SFU's Engineering Science Student Society (ESSS), SFU Anime and SFU Esports will be hosting an End of Year League of Legend's tournament on December 22nd (Tuesday) to December 23rd (Wednesday). Sign-ups for the tournament will close on December 21st.

  8. •Open to all SFU students with a valid SFU email.
  9. •Premade teams of five people (with the allowance of one extra as backup).
  10. •We are allowing teams to consist of non-SFU students, however, 3 players from the team must possess a valid SFU email.
  11. •Teams that have non-SFU students on them are still eligible for the $100 Grand Prize, but not the Red Bull prizes.
  12. •If you are looking for people to create a team with, check out the discord of the organizers down below just for that.
  13. •It is your team's responsibility to discuss the distribution of the prize your team wins.
  14. •All communication with the organizers will be held over ESSS discord (link down below). Please have a discord account.
  15. •$100 Prize is redeemed through Visa/MasterCard gift cards.
  16. •Red Bull prizes can be dropped off to their winners or can be redeemed when school goes in-person again.

  19. •The tournament will be held as a hybrid round-robin - knockout style.
  20. •First as a round-robin, 4 groups of 4 teams. The winner of each group will go off to the playoffs.
  21. •Semi-Finals and Finals will happen in the playoffs.

  23. •Team's reserve the right to replace any player with a substitute member if the said player cannot participate.
  24. •Requests for match delays will be considered on a case by case basis, but require to be made well ahead of a match ( up to organizer's discretion)
  25. •Organizers reserve the right to disqualify any team or player who is suspected of cheating in any manner, participating in unsportsmanlike behaviour, as well as any behaviour deemed as inappropriate by the organizer's sole discretion.
