- Citations, PBN links, Google reviews, and a ton of other factors. Depends entirely on the niche you want to rank for.
- I am not 100% sure here as i don't do local SEO. But i think the usual suspects, such as, outreach, PBNs, citation will be the way to go.
- search for the top ranking businesses for your keywords, check their backlinks. get those backlinks for your site if you can. that's a good point to start.
- Probably good to focus on links on local sites and blogs. I'm not SEO expert, but I think that would help.
- Of course, reviews as well; Google, Yelp, TripAdvisor.
- Content, content, content! Write so much content your fingers fall off.

- Choose the type of business you do, then in Step 2 enter: A list of all locations you serve (city, state, neighborhoods) a new line for each location even if its just a different street name, also in step 2 put a list of different services you provide, again just a different service for each line. Then write a short article for each keyword it gives you.

- This is the right answer. I would add rotating 3 posts each week using something like oneupapp.io and sending out regular press releases with embeded maps, either of your location or of driving directions to/from the cities you want to rank in. Also make sure your reviews include your city + keyword, as well as your FAQs eg "do you provide x service in y city? Yes we provide x service in y city"
- I also build out branded and city + keyword web 2.0s and keep those updated as well.
- I've very recently started a local website off the back of a post that @Sherb shared in the JR VIP section. Local Facebook pages are the golden ticket imo to get the ball rolling in terms of traffic.
- I'd suggest that you write as much quality content as possible, and share the less promotional articles on the local Facebook pages to bring viewers in who will also ideally like your own Facebook page.
- For rank better in your local, here is a small tip to make it easier.
- Find keywords which are search in your targeted city or region and then get backlinks with those keywords.
- It will help you to get ranked in local search easily.
