Pomeg Glitch : Unlock Southern Island (Second method)

This method is mainly for people that would like to have Latios at Southern Island, but it is also a bit faster than the primary method (you do not have to wait for 13-14 seconds every time).

Note : This setup may not work on Japanese Emerald (it works on every other Emerald version though).

0) If you want Latios and not Latias on Southern Island, beat all "Trap" master rounds (The guy in the house on Route 110 who gives you some challenges and gives you a tent when you beat all 6/7 of them).
Else, you will always obtain Latias.

1)Obtain the in-game traded Horsea, clone it, and give it 5 Def EVs (Geodude x5) and 5 Speed EVs (Magikarp x5) to a clone.
Keep the other clone in safety in PC.

1 bis) If you don't have a Bagon by your hand, or if you released the in-game traded Horsea, you can go and catch a Smeargle with a specific PID with this method : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-LgQJEHBHdA
Then, convert Smeargle's PID from hexadecimal to decimal, make an euclidian division of the PID by 24. The caught Smeargle will be able to replace the in-game traded Horsea for this procedure if the remainder is 1,4,7,10,18 or 20.

2) Clone the Pokémon 5 times (6 Pokés).
Deposit one of the clones in safety in the PC (outside boxes 1/2).
Deposit 5 other clones Box 2 Slots 9,12,15,18,21. (Move any other Pokémon in boxes 1 and 2).

Deposit 3-4 Tms and 3-4 Berries in the PC. (As you may hold Up for a bit longer, you will need these Tms and Berries to restaure your Tms and Berry pouches).

3) Set up yourself for a Pomeg Glitch. (party ready, at Odale Town,...)
Save.

4) Perform Pomeg Glitch until the step where you look at the summary of the Pokémon with Fly.

5) Once you hit B to close the summary of the Pokémon with Fly, count your Up pushes one by one.

From the 1st Up push to the 14th one, look at the the 1st party slot (who will be empty), and see if it has a red hilghlight surrounding it or not for each Up push.

Here is what you need to see :

Up Push N°1 : NO red highlight
Up Push N°2 : Red highlight on the Quit button
Up Push N°3 :  The Pokéball behind the Pokémon with Fly (2nd party slot) must be darkened and closes.
This Pokéball must look like the Ball behind the Pokémon in the 3rd party slot.
Up Push N°4 : NO red highlight on first party slot
Up Push N°5 : Red highlight on first party slot
Up Push N°6 : No red highlight on first party slot
Up Push N°7 : Red highlight on first party slot
Up Push N°8 : Red highlight on first party slot
Up Push N°9 : No red highlight on first party slot
Up Push N°10 : Red highlight on first party slot
Up Push N°11 : NO red highlight on first party slot
Up Push N°12 : Red highlight on first party slot
Up Push N°13 : No red highlight on first party slot
Up Push N°14 : Red highlight on first party slot

6) If you see exactly this pattern, then hold Up for 14 seconds in order to corrupt the RAM value managing the delivery man script.
If one of the Up pushes doesn't give you the same red/no red highlight pattern, reset and try again.

If you accidentally lose count of your Up pushes, it's not a problem.
Hit B to close the party, hit A to reopen it, open the summary of the Pokémon with Fly, and continue with setp 5).

This test allows you to know if the corruption pattern is the pattern n°8 or not.
The corruption pattern n°8 is a corrupton pattern that will always corrupt Southern Island.

7) Once the Up button has been held for 14 seconds, hit B, end the battle, and go to the Pokemon center to see if the delivery guy appeared or not. (normally yes)

There is a 1/32 chance to get the right pattern, which is a bit lower than the normal chance, but the procedure (once you placed the Pokémon in Box 2) is a bit faster since you only have to do 14 Up pushes to know if you have to reset or if you can continue the corruption.
