- 'Sup, doods!
- I am struggling to find balance in my life. My full-time job, after preparing to commute and commuting to and from, takes up 60 hours of my life a week. Sleeping well takes up 56 hours of my life a week. That leaves 52 hours of free time to maintain my body, produce my content, and prepare for the upcoming tournament (I'm not even accounting for food). My mind and body can't be on for that long when work takes up so much of my energy. This is not a good work-life balance for me. It doesn't allow me to give you the entertainment that I would like to give on a regular basis. I'm not one to beg for financial support, but I do want the financial freedom to pursue full-time streaming. I have my Twitch channel. I have a direct donation link. I have my YouTube channel. There are several ways to show your support for what I do! Maybe one day I can justify expanding to other revenue streams. Would anyone buy my merch?
- That said, I was able to find some equilibrium this week. I LOWERed my V-Hard time in tournament seeding to 7:43, giving me an overall 2nd seed that foxyman would have to cut 7:30 in V-Hard to take over. By contrast, I had learned earlier that day that my work was giving me a RAISE of about $1/hour. Fun fact: my last job gave me two $1/hour raises in total over my six years there. I got one raise in my last three years there. Hopefully this will get to be a regular thing and allow me to get out of it sooner so I can entertain all of you. That is the dream!
- The tournament has 19 players registered now, which is good to see. I should start tagging some random people to spread the good word and get in on the action. Maybe we could get to, like, 24 people? I want to be able to consider changing the match format to accommodate so many people.
- The goal for Friday night will be to work on Normal mode some more and find a better V-Hard time after that. Easy could use some improving, too, but it will be very low priority.
- That’s my life story for the week. Later, doods!
