Osprey and Yang: Osprey's support with Lucina.

Later on as day turned into night, with many trainers old and young, veterans and rookies and then some retiring to their beds for tomorrow's sign-up for the Elimination Cup. On the King of Fighters '93 ranch, The twins are currently downstairs wrapping up their nightly practice of their music with them placing their instruments safely and securing them down for the night. "Not a bad showing, I feel like we're coming along nicely with our songs." Osprey saids as he ties his Bass Guitar down with a lock as Yang put her saxophone in it's case and close it tightly with a lock of her own. "Yeah..." Yang nods in agreement as she look over their basement. Unlike the upper floors and their rooms which tend to be messy, the basement itself is clean and organized with their band stuff on the left side and their laundry tools on the right. On the southernwest lies a couch with a big TV in front of them to watch while doing laundry.

"Do you think we will win?" Yang asks her brother as they begin to walk up the stairs to their living room, where their monsters after a day of hard training, is relaxing by watching One Piece with the current arc being the Enies Lobby Arc. "We will, one of us at least."Osprey answers her as he head to the kitchen and get some water bottles for him and her to drink, he returns and toss her one as he leans against the doorway between the living room and kitchen. "...Any idea on who's gonna join the tourney?" She leans against the couch as she sips her bottle and look at him for his answer. Osprey, for his part merely shrugs. "I suppose our sister and her friends will join. Other than that, I don't know nor do I care, what matters is one of us winning to get that wish to play in the castle."

"Mhm..."


The twins watch the tv with their monsters for a while in silence until Yang asked another question. "...Do you think Mom gonna win the Rank S Elim-Cup?" Osprey turn to look at her now, understanding that with all of these questions being asked means one thing only. Namely that Yang was quite nervous herself despite her stoic face. "...Of course she will, she's mom. She hardly ever lose..." He walk over and sit down next to her, Iori scooting over to give him space as Kyo look up from the floor as Yang pet his hair.  "You're troubled.."

Yang turn to him now with a small frown. "...It's the Nabateans." That makes perfect sense. Both she and him will meet their eternal arch-enemies, as it is with their family as Yang continues. "...I know we're pretty strong, stronger than everyone else except for them." He watches her as he continues to listen. "..But..They may be dangerous...moreso than us." Kyo sit up on the couch and pet her thigh with a concerned look as Iori is still watching TV, but isn't paying much attention to it as he listens as well. Yang leans forward and rest her chin on her hands with a contemplative look.

"...You're worried for us?" Osprey ask her with a raised eyebrow. "You do know that mom taught us and trained us well from birth, right? There's not much that would attack us, let alone harm us." She shake her head with the same frown. "It's not us I'm concerned about.." She look at him now. "It's Ruby...what if they go after her by virtue of being our little sister who's far, far weaker than us?"

"....." Osprey knows what she mean now. While both he and Yang can confidently defend themselves as well as their monsters...Same can't be said for Ruby and Flora. "I see...but we won't let that happen."

"Really?" She raise an eyebrow at him, not believing her older brother as he pet her hair and ruffle it with a small smile. "Of course, we're Branwens. We're unstoppable. Now what did mom have to do with all of this?"(edited)


Yang shrugs as she lean back on the couch and wrap Kyo in a one-arm hug "I just feel more comfortable knowing that she would be in the meet is all." Osprey nods as he look at her "Will you be allright?" Yang nods as she yawns, tired. "Yeah, I am....." She glances at him before back to the TV. "Thanks, brother.." "No problem , sister."

After that, they silently go back to the anime watching until it gets late as Yang and Kyo fall asleep on the couch with the TV still on. Osprey and Iori are sitting on the back porch before he gets up and yawn.(edited)


"....We got a busy day tomorrow...We need to be ready for it." Osprey look down at Iori who grins with a nod before he suddenly look to the left and growl as he hears some footsteps from afar. Osprey turn towards the direction as he sees a familiar figure riding on a Centaur leisurely with the same butterfly mask on. They stop before the poach and wave at him. "Greetings, Osprey."

"...Marth." He place his hands in his coat pockets with a neutral face on. "Why are you here?" He was confused to see someone he wasn't expecting to see so soon as they get off of their Centaur to face him. "I came to see how things are going, with the buzz of the Elimination Cup sweeping the nation. I suspect you and your sister are joining?" They ask him as he nods, Iori eyeing Osiris with an wary eye. "...Yeah, we are..." He raise an eyebrow at her "You?" The figure chuckles and shake their head. "No, I don't do much for battling to be honest..."

"....I see...So why do you have a monster?" They gives him a small smile as they put their hand on their hip which gives Osprey the idea of them raising their eyebrow at him in a teasing manner. "I can't have one for companionship?"

"....I suppose you can." Osprey shrugs before speaking up. "Well, if you're not entering the cup, I assume you have no wish to be granted?" Marth nods in agreement. "You are correct, I have almost everything I need and everything I want in life...well, almost" She clears her throat and turn her head away.

"What more do you want?"
They didn't answered Osprey, who roll his eyes before crossing his arms, Iori sitting down next to him. "Well...Me and my sister plan on using our wish to play music at the castle at whatever point we want."

"(That's...something I didn't expected to hear from them.)" Lucina think to herself, glad that her mask hides her widen eyes as she make sure to hide her shock from her voice. "Really? No money or any rank?"


"Why would we need those things when they would eventually come to us?" He ask her with such a tone as if she asked him could he breath air. "Ah....confident in your training skills to get them then, huh?" Iori can feel her eyes peering at him through her mask and growl as Osprey kneel down and rustle his hair. "If you're trying to spar, then that's a no from me. We're tired from training and my sister is sleeping as well as her monster."

"That explains why she's not out here..." Marth smiles at him. "From what little i know of you two, you are both very close to one another..." Osprey look back through their screen door and see Yang still sleeping on the couch with Kyo. "She's my best friend and closest ally..." He look at Marth again with a serious face. "I'll make sure no harm come to her and Ruby as the oldest child.."

"A valiant response, as expected." "(And relatable...)" Marth nods as she lean against Osiris's side. "Well..I...did come here with a plan tho." She crosses her arms and draw a circle on the grass with her left foot. A sign of nervousness if Osprey ever seen one. "I would like to ask you some questions..."

"..." Osprey stares at her before standing up. "Only if you answer some of mines."

"(Smarter than he comes off...Nice.)" "I'm ok with that." She smiles and chuckles. "I can start..." Thinking of something simple, she gets one question in her head. "What's your favorite stat in a monster?" Osprey responds quickly. "Accuracy, without that, you can never win." She nods in approval, agreeing with him on that as does Osiris who's best stat is ACC.
"My turn." He stares at her for a while before speaking. "...Are you a boy or girl?" This threw Lucina off for a moment as she blink behind her mask as if she didn't hear him. "I beg your pardon?""Your voice is somewhat deep and masculine, but your figure and demeanor is that of a female." He rubs his chin before he raise a finger as if he solved a riddle.


"Are you Non-Binary?"
They briefly shake, making Osprey believe that he have offended them before they bend over and laugh out loud. She raise herself up and shake her head. "Wow..I guess mother's right, I could had become an actress...." Seeing that he is still waiting for an answer with a patient look. She decides to humor him "Before I answer that, what does my gender have to do with this?" Osprey sighs and sit down on the poach, giving her the high ground as she stands before him with an amused smirk. "Well..I personally think you're a boy who like to crossdress, while Yang think you're a female just to make a bet against me."

Marth chuckles before answering him. "I see..." She clears her voice so that it goes back to her natural feminine tone. "Well, I suppose you lose the best, for I'm a natural born female."
Osprey sighs with the same stoic face as usual. "I owe her 1K then..." he shakes his head and nod at her. "Your turn."

"Well, seeing how you asked me a rather personal question..."She walk towards him and sit down next to him with Iori on his other side. "...Tell me about your family's lineage..."


Osprey briefly turn his head towards her. "...Interested in the Branwens?" A raised eyebrow form on his head as she nods. "I've heard..interesting stories regarding your clan. And then there's the matter of what went down in the cave months ago..." She make sure not to show any fear in her voice or body to not alarm him. "....Well...I'll keep this short since I have one more question to ask you." He look up at the moon as he collect his thoughts before speaking. "Branwens used to be a collective nomadic tribe of vicious people. For some reason, every member born into it was blessed with skills that's not seen in your average human. We can crush diamonds with ease, run faster than Olympian sprinters, tougher than the hardest metal known and unknown to mankind, more stamina than Olympian swimmers, can learn things very fast and have great dexterity."


"...You're like...monsters." Lucina didn't hear all of this from her father and is shocked to say the least as Osprey shrugs. "I guess so, Mom said that at some point in time, one of our then-leaders made a pact with some otherworldly demon for power for whatever reason. And then he tricked the demon and killed him so that he won't have to pay it back."

"...Do..." Lucina rest her hands on the poach. "Do you believe her?" Osprey look at the moon again, calm underneath the light. "Eh...it never bothered me to know if she was lying or not. All I know is that I use my power for myself and my loved ones..."


"(So he don't care for how he got the power, only how he will use it.)" "I see..." She look down at the grass as Osprey speaks up. "...Why do you wear a mask?" Marth look at him before smiling as she raise a hand to remove it, much to Osiris's shock which she hold a hand up at him to calm him down. Letting her hair flow out and down her back as she look at him.


"....."
"Well.." She smirks at him slightly. "Does my natural beauty compels you to silence?" "No, I just don't know who you are."
All of her smugness went out of her as she smiles in a "Are you joking" manner before giggling. "Never have I met a man so...so...words can't even describe you, Osprey." He just stares at her with a calm look, waiting for his answer. "....Who are you?" "...I'm Princess Lucina."THAT got an reaction out of him as he raise both eyebrows. "...Oh...Oh..." "Yeah...Oh."
She smirks at him as she lightly punches his arm. "This whole time, you've been in the presence of a roy-" She wheeze as he punches her arm back, only much harder as she rubs it. Osiris glares at Osprey only to relent as Lucina hold a hand up. "It-it's ok! I'm fine!" "(Good fucking SOTHIS, he IS strong!...Thankfully it's not broken, lest mom and dad will ask a lot of questions...)" "Sorry....reaction from my days with Yang and Mom."


"Understandable.." She gives him a small smile that's forced from the pain. "I too have times where I sparred with my sister." "Yang's stronger than I am, but I'm just more smarter..."
"(SHE'S STRONGER!?!?)" Hiding her pure fear and shock behind a mask of coolness. "Ah, I see...well, I know how strong your monsters are from how they acted in the cave..."Iori smirks as he flexes his claws. "We train hard..." Osprey nods as Lucina look around and see only 2 gadgets. "With just two gadgets?" It was unheard of to get this powerful with 2 gadgets...

"We're good." Osprey's simple answer make her head spin before she shakes it and just sighs with a smile. "I see....Well..I suppose I better get home." She gets up and dust herself off. "Osprey, I wish you luck at the elimination up at the end of this month. I assume you will sign up for it tomorrow? "Of course...me and Yang."He watches her before seeing a piece of wood on her ass. "Wait.." Before she could even react, he smack her thicc ass to get the wood off of her as she whimpers in pain. Orion(No longer using his fake name) is this close to throwing his spear through him before Lucina hold a hand up to stop him. "I-I-I'm fine, Orion!" She turn to him with a smirk even tho her tone is slight annoyance. "Lo-look, you gotta warn a girl next time you smack her down there..."

"Sorry." He shrugs in his usual manner as she giggles and get up on her Centaur's back, winching from how sore she is. "I'll be off now...good luck, Osprey." "(My ass is fucking SORE!)"
And she rides off, leaving Iori and Osprey alone as they watches her and Orion riding off... "...Weird girl..but she's cool." He turns to Iori and nods. "Right...go to bed, Iori..we got a busy day tomorrow. "The Zabel nods as the two of them walk inside, where Osprey picks up Yang and Iori wakes Kyo up. The pure garu yawning as he follows Iori to their stable as Osprey carries Yang to place her in her room before going to sleep in his own.
