  16. 6. Mostly people reacted positively to the nuclear test detonations. Except from a few complaints of broken windows and from unlucky Las Vegas gamblers, whose dices had been overturned by the shakes, there was no protests. On the contrary most people thought that the experiements were an important part of the nations defense and were proud that the tests were being carried out in their backyard. Gradually people got used to the bangs and the aftermaths of the blasts.
