- BlitzAssassin478:
- I noticed this is a month old comment but I hope this will help other people trying to install this, I got around it by doing this.
- Quick instructions:
- Unpack mod, open wizard.txt in notepad, select "save as" > change ANSI encoding to UTF-8, Save, pack all folders and files again to a 7zip file, drag new archive to Wrye Bash, wizard mode should be detected now.
- Detailed Instructions
- 1. Unpack the 7Z file (With 7zip I right click on the file and select "Extract files" Then Ok when the mesage window appears)
- 2. Go inside the folder (After extraction) and open Wizard.txt in Notepad
- 3. Click on File at the top right, then Save As
- 4. A save as window will appear, towards the bottom right change ANSI to UTF-8
- 5. Save (You can overwrite the old Wizard file but I saved it to a different location)
- 6. If you saved the wizard file to a different location delete the old one, then move the new one you saved to the folder. (If you overwrote the old file during the save as window, skip this step)
- 7. Once you have moved the new Wizard.txt in the folder highlight everything, or use CTRL + A.
- 8. Right click on highlighted contents and go to 7zip, then select "Add to "Map Marker Overhaul 3_9_3-26389-3-9-3.7z"" (Or alternatively select add to archive if you want to view more options for the saving the file)
- 9 Drag this to Wrye Bash and it should read the Wizard file
- I should mention the only odd thing I noticed was the wizard not showing previews of the icons during installation, even then I don't know whether the original wrye bash wizard installation shows this (Since it doesn't work), all I know is the OMOD version shows image previews.
- Other than this, I had a quick look around with the mod and I found no issues in my short time of testing this mod this way. I could add tags correctly, either way be careful as I have limited testing time on this but everything appears fine so far for me. I don't have pluggy installed so I don't know about the features that require this. I haven't experienced any crashing either.
