  1. >Butterscotch sat at his outdoor table, staring into his cup of tea
  2. >he was patiently tapping his hooves together
  3. >their tea was about to go cold
  4. >This wasn't like her...
  5. "oh, where is she?"
  6. >he quietly said to himself
  7. >she would have sent word if she had to cancel
  8. >a worried look grew on his face
  9. >What if something bad happ-
  10. >No, no. it's only been about ten minutes
  11. >But...
  12. >plenty of things can happen in ten minutes...
  13. >as the stallion contemplated making a new pot of tea or forming a search party, he heard the light clip-clop of hooves on the walkway to his home
  14. >just as he raised his head, he saw the white unicorn run around his gate and into his backyard
  15. >"Oh Butterscotch, darling"
  16. >she said panting
  17. >while slowing down to a stop at his table
  18. >"I am SO SORRY for being late!"
  19. "It's okay, Rarity"
  20. >she had already taken her seat across from him
  21. >breathing deep, trying to catch her breath
  22. >"But... I did get... those little tea cakes we both... love so much"
  23. >she dug around her saddlebags, pulled out a fancily wrapped container and set it on the table
  24. >Scotch smiled, he was genuinely touched by her kindness
  25. >with a shake of her head, her mane was back to it's normally styled self
  26. >and she seemed to had caught her breath
  27. >"And I'm surprised that you were still waiting, darling."
  28. "Oh, I wouldn't miss one of our tea parties for the world!"
  29. >A tea party didn't seem like the most manly thing, but hey, he did get to spend time with a lovely mare
  30. >and Scotch did love to spend time with lovely mares
  31. "but, um, If you don't mind me asking, Rarity, why did you, um, happen to be late?"
  32. >"Oh, I had to take Sweetie Belle to our parent's house. That little miss is grounded."
  33. >Sweetie wasn't really the one to start things
  34. >it was usually the other crusaders
  35. >but it must have been something big to make her get grounded...
  36. "Grounded? Why?"
  37. >the mare finished sipping her tea before answering him
  38. >"Oh, it's just some... things... have gone missing from the boutique lately."
  39. >Butterscotch's eyes grew wide and his heart seemed to skip a beat
  40. >"I mean, she knows I don't mind letting her use some of my materials every now and again, but she does know to ask before she lets her and her friends use them."
  41. "Y-yeah..."
  42. >"But some of my more personal things seemed to be misplaced."
  43. "L-l-like what's g-gone mis-sing?"
  44. >"Oh, some of my valuable trinkets seemed to be moved around also. Like great-grandma's pincushion and her old thimble."
  45. "O-oh that, that's..."
  46. >"But the thing that really got me was she was rummaging around..."
  47. >the mare seemed to turn a faint shade of red
  48. >"...in my drawer of unmentionables."
  49. >Butterscotch could feel the panic start to set in
  50. >Rarity sipped her tea and daintily dabbed her napkin to her mouth before continuing
  51. >"And just between you and I, Scotch, I still have a pair or two of panties unaccounted for"
  52. >Butterscotch's teacup began to tremble in his hoof
  53. >She didn't know it was him, did she?
  54. >that he had took a pair of her panties?
  55. >it was just sitting on her dresser...
  56. >all pink and frilly...
  57. >he didn't even know why he took them
  58. "Bb-but why ww-ould she..."
  59. >"I don't know what's come over that filly. But she should know better than to mess with other ponies personal belongings."
  60. >Butterscotch gulped
  61. >"And she is too young to be wearing something like that, so I don't even know what she was going to do with them."
  62. "I-i-i..."
  63. >"But the worst part is, she won't even tell me where she hid them! The nerve..."
  64. "um, Rarity..."
  65. >"Yes, dear?"
  66. "How l-long is s-she in trouble for?"
  67. >"Three weeks."
  68. "T-three weeks?!"
  69. >oh no
  70. >"It may seem a bit harsh, but she's been pushing it a bit lately. And even though she may miss that little festival the school is having, she needs to learn her lesson."
  71. >Butterscotch could feel his heart breaking
  72. >an innocent pony was going to have to pay for something he done
  73. >
  74. >No.
  75. >he couldn't let that happen
  76. >it wasn't in him
  77. "r-r-Rarity..."
  78. >"Hm?" she said levitating a tea cake to her mouth
  79. "w-ww-What i-if, it wwasn't s-Sweetie?"
  80. >"Hmm..."
  81. >he just stared as she thought
  82. >"Then that means there is a bad pony out there somewhere."
  83. >Butterscotch could feel tears in the corner of his eyes
  84. >was he really going to go through with this?
  85. >that poor little filly...
  86. >Rarity pounded her hoof onto the table, almost startling Butterscotch into flying off
  87. >"And if I were to happen upon this hypothetical bad pony, I don't know what I'd do."
  88. >oh, she sounds mad
  89. >Butterscotch's breathing became quicker
  90. >"I do know that I'd have some stern words for them!"
  91. >Scotch was gritting his teeth watching her intensely gesture about
  92. >"Especially if they took my panties! I would tell them that they are a terrible, perverted low life!"
  93. >Scotch was whimpering, almost on the verge of tears
  94. >"Oh, what I'd do if I found them..."
  95. >her tone went from stern to soft
  96. >"Scotch? You alright?"
  97. "I..."
  98. >he couldn't fess up
  99. >Rarity would be mad at him forever
  100. >he could lose a great friend
  101. >all because of his sordid interests
  102. >and if he lost Rarity, his whole circle of friends could break up
  103. >they would all be mad at him
  104. >his filthy, perverted self
  105. >they would all slowly drift apart, never talking to him again
  106. >he couldn't tell
  107. >he would have to live with this
  108. >he could do it...
  109. >everypony has secrets
  110. >right?
  111. >carrying this weight to his grave...
  112. >he'd have to
  113. >
  114. >an image of a teary-eyed Sweetie Belle flashed in his head
  115. >she was young and innocent
  116. >she didn't even do anything
  117. >and he was going to pin all this on her
  118. >his own filthy perversions...
  119. >
  120. >his heart broke inside his chest
  121. >he couldn't do this.
  122. >his heart was too big for him to be like this
  123. >he felt a tear stream down his cheek
  124. >"Butterscotch, dear, are you crying?"
  125. "i d.. .."
  126. >he barely whispered it
  127. >"What was that, darling?
  128. "i did it"
  129. >"Wha-"
  130. >he slammed both hooves to the table, causing the mare to jump
  131. >he stared her straight in the eyes
  132. "I DID IT!"
  133. >the mare had her mouth hanging open in shock
  134. "I did it, Rarity! I took your panties!"
  135. >tears began streaming from his eyes
  136. "I am a terrible, perverted low life!"
  137. >he lowered his head to the table and started sobbing loudly
  138. >"butterscotch..."
  139. >Rarity said softly to him
  140. >she went to lay a hoof on his head
  141. >he batted it away as he turned his head back up to face her
  142. "I'll understand, Rarity, if you want to hate me forever, and if you never want to see me again..."
  143. >he told her through his tears and sobs
  144. >"scotch..."
  145. "But I just couldn't let Sweetie Belle be in trouble for something I done!"
  146. >he got up and quickly flew through his door
  147. >she got up to follow him, but before she made it to the door, he was coming back through it
  148. >Scotch flew up to Rarity and put a pink, balled up piece of cloth into her hooves
  149. "HERE, Here, take them! I don't even want to see them again!"
  150. >he fell to the ground sobbing
  151. >"Scotch..."
  152. >she began to examine the cloth when the stallion wrapped his legs around her
  153. "Please forgive me... I was a bad pony..."
  154. >she unfolded the panties to look at them
  155. >"Scotch, wh-"
  156. >the stallion sniffed before speaking up
  157. "I was a very bad pony, Rarity. I put them on my head, and I smelled them a lot, and I even-"
  158. >Butterscotch was wailing now
  159. "I put them on, Rarity. I put them on myself and I walked around my house, and even though they barely fit me, and it was tight and a couple of my parts kept popping out, I felt kinda pretty..."
  160. >he had let go of her and was now laying on the ground crying
  161. "But it's because you're so pretty. And I don't know why I did it..."
  162. >"Scotch"
  163. "And... I, I-i-i..."
  164. >he looked up to her from the ground
  165. "I stained them."
  166. >she began to feel the wetness of the cloth
  167. "I stained your pretty panties Rarity. I used them this morning... and I... I got carried away. I rubbed myself with them, and I, and I... came... and I made a mess in them."
  168. >she put a hoof onto his head and started lightly patting his hair
  169. >he continued to cry while lying on the ground for a few minutes
  170. >and she just continued to pat his head
  171. >as his tears started to let up, he spoke up to her
  172. "can... can you ever forgive a bad, dirty pony like me?"
  173. >"Butterscotch, it's alright. I forgive you."
  174. "really?"
  175. >"Yes. It's fine."
  176. >he got up from the ground and they sat there in silence for a few moments
  177. >she was still looking at his stain on the cloth in her hooves
  178. >"Butterscotch, did you really mean that when you said I was so pretty?"
  179. "I- um... yes... i'm sorry..."
  180. >"Don't apologize for that, darling."
  181. >she smiled to him
  182. >after a few seconds, she spoke up
  183. >"Butterscotch, where did you find these panties?"
  184. "They were on your dresser. I took them the other day when I was there. I still don't know why i did..."
  185. >"um, Butterscotch..."
  186. >she wiped a tear from his cheek as he looked at her
  187. >she cleared her throat
  188. >"Dear, these are Twilight's. She left them at my house last week when we had a sleepover. I've been meaning to give these ba-"
  189. *THUD*
  190. >she looked down to see that Butterscotch had fainted at her hooves
