Hi, I'm Reverend Reginald Swilley, Associate Pastor at Maranatha Christian Center. Santa Clara County Health Department has done a great job in trying to protect all of us from the effects of this coronavirus.

We really do need to be serious about our response to them. The stay-at-home, shelter-in-place information that they put up is really for us to take seriously.
Once someone in your family get this virus, it is too late to get serious. Because once they find out they have it, they've already passed it around to two or three different people inside the family. So we really do.

It has affected African American community at a greater rate than we thought it would. So we want everyone to be extremely serious, extremely cautious, and let's protect our families, let's protect our loved ones, let's protect our neighbors, let's protect this county.

We are way ahead of the curve nationally but we don't want any one of you, from our community, from our city, from this state, from this country - actually, to actually suffer from this virus any more than those that have already contracted it.

So please let's be careful. It's the right thing to do. It's the thing that we ought to all join in to do together.
