| PERSONALITY:
- Is extremely selfless and kind and would do anything as long as it benefits others, willing to sacrifice anything she can to ensure the safety and happiness of others
- Very forgetful and hence also very forgiving, never really holding a grudge against someone unless they did something to someone she cares for and didn't apologise
- Extremely protective over the people she loves and will get very violent if provoked
- Very naïve and will trust anybody, whether she knows the other party or not. This leads to her blindly helping people who have ill intentions, causing herself or others to get hurt because of that. Thankfully, this rarely happens because most people are turned soft by her kindness and are unable to use her because of that
- Seems innocent because of how naïve she is but is actually quite dirty-minded and very perverted, constantly watching out for handsome boys and nice bodies, e.g. Nice legs, nice ass etc. (Basically has a severe fetish for guys that look good from the back)
- Very hyper and can never sit still for even a second, tapping on random surfaces or just walking around to relieve her of her boredom

- Very sensitive. Even though she acts as though nothing fazes her, Akiko is actually very sensitive to what others think and say about her and will tear down her own self-esteem if she thinks another party dislikes her
- Even though she acts very open, Akiko actually keeps a lot to herself, unwilling to share her true emotions or pain to others, afraid that it would burden them, covering a lot of it up with a smile
- However, the "depressed" side of Akiko is very rarely seen as she is usually just a ball of sunshine spreading joy to others
| BACKGROUND:
Akiko was born into a loving family in Kyoto that supported her in everything she did and always gave her the attention and care she needed, giving her the happy childhood where the sun, sports and flowers were distinct memories.
Even though her parents had to work, they would always ensure that they spared enough time for Akiko. Akiko was also lucky enough to have her grandmother, whom took good care of her while her parents were working, always reminding her that she could do anything she set her heart on and giving her amazing advice.
However, things started going downhill when Akiko turned 12.
This was when Akiko had her first fit and after getting checked up by the doctor, was diagnosed with lung cancer. It was a hereditary condition from her father's side of the family where every female descendant would contract a tragic death by dying of cancer. Although there had been cases where lucky females in her paternal family tree did not get cancer, it turned out that Akiko was not one of the lucky ones.
Seeing as to how heartbroken her parents were, Akiko decided to hide her fear of death from her family and smiled through the pain, telling them that she would be fine and in the process, constantly lying to herself, telling herself that she will be ok. Hence, she collects pretty things like flowers or things that gave her fond memories and tapes them into a notebook in order to remind herself of how beautiful the world is and because of that, she can't lose in her fight with cancer.
Because of how much she loves nature, Akiko also believes strongly in dying the same way we come into this world. Hence she constantly refuses to get the appropriate surgeries that could cure her and also refuses to eat her medication, only using them when absolutely necessary. Of course, this causes her body's condition to deteriorate extremely fast and her last days to come at her as rapidly as a bullet train driving at full speed.
Even so, Akiko continues living the way she does, smiling and running around as much as she wants to, afraid of being held down by medication and wanting to enjoy her time on Earth as much as she can before she leaves.

| HOW YOU TWO MEET:
Since Jisung was supposed to find Akiko and make friends with her, he didn't really know how to and ended up just following her around for a couple of days, trying to find a good time to slip in but had been too shy to.
When Jisung finally decided to confront Akiko after a few days of stalking, he decided to just shut his eyes and force courage into himself as he ran out of the alleyway he was hiding in, accidentally bumping into her in the process, desperately trying to apologise and find the right words to say but couldn't.
In that time, Akiko recognised him as the guy whom had been following her for the past few days, threatening to report him to the police till he finally managed to make up some excuses for her sake.

Thought that Akiko was extremely fierce and scary because of how she threatened him.
Akiko -
Thought that he was a perverted stalker initially.
| RELATIONSHIP WITH LOVE INTEREST IN THE START:
Very strained and awkward relationship.
| RELATIONSHIP WITH LOVE INTEREST IN THE MIDDLE:
Close friends. They managed to talk out their misunderstandings and Akiko smiled it off very quickly, allowing the two to become close friends because of how talkative Akiko is, managing to get Jisung to open up to her and the both start to realise how similar they are, sharing more about themselves to each other and soon allowing themselves to show their true fears and emotions to each other later on, trusting in each other and offering each other a shoulder to rest on when in pain.
| RELATIONSHIP WITH LOVE INTEREST IN THE END:
A happy, cute skinship couple that quickly turns into a tragedy as Akiko's health deteriorates faster than before and dies soon after.
OR
Ends happily with Akiko finally agreeing to get a surgery done after being persuaded by Jisung/Mermaid with the surgery ending successfully, allowing Akiko to live a long and happy life with Jisung.

Initially treated Jisung very coldly and was extremely suspicious of him but later treats him like how she treats others, kind, smiley and hyperactive but trusts him a lot more and allows herself to be more truthful about herself around him and more emotional too.

Jisung was initially extremely scared of Akiko, being very shy around her, unsure how to approach and talk to her.
However, once Akiko managed to get him to open up, he starts showing his caring and kind side much more and is also more vocal and trusting around her, allowing her to rest in his calmness as to him, she was very obviously an emotional wreck.
When Akiko finally starts showing him her weak side, Jisung also starts to share a lot more about himself, allowing him to trust her hyper-ness, letting loose when with her.

| REQUESTED SCENES WITH LOVE INTEREST:
- When the two first meet, Jisung manages to mumble out a random excuse for Akiko and since she couldn't hear him, they decide to go to a café to talk things out and in the time where the two were walking towards the café, Akiko had lost all suspicion towards Jisung after bumping into a few acquaintances like store owners and friends and starts to talk to him like they've been friends for years, scaring Jisung at first because of how sudden her change in tone was but they later grow extremely close and even start laughing with each other
- The two of them have their first horror movie showdown, deciding on "Caroline" as they decided that since it was their first time, it was advisable to watch a "milder" horror movie together. However, they both end up getting scarred by it anyways, screaming and hiding behind pillows and blankets the whole way through the movie
- The two decide to have a cooking battle with each other, getting the other Lost Boys and Chosen Girls to be their unwilling judges as they weren't sure of the two's cooking capability yet and after the battle, drawed and also became the official chefs for everyone, immediately regretting their idea of a cooking battle
- The two quarrel over which Hogwarts House is the best which gets into a heated argument and then a binge watching session of every single Harry Potter movie, each picking out reasons as to why they support their Houses throughout the entire binge session

- Meets Mermaid for the first time and the two hit it off almost instantly, chatting about matching clothes and the latest fashion trends for ages and even make it a habit to pick out outfits for each other as often as possible
- Akiko joins forces with Mermaid to help eradicate Jihoon's bad fashion choices, picking out better outfits and styles for him together
- After becoming very open to Jisung and becoming close friends with Mermaid, Akiko then makes friends with Jane Darling because of how she felt a "sixth sense" telling her that the two of them were very similar. After a lot of smiling and joy, the two start sharing about each other and become a crying mess, supporting and helping each other later on
- Because of how she shared about her health condition with Jane Darling, Akiko decides that it wouldn't be fair to hide it from Mermaid and spills it to her in the most anti-climatic way possible, casually slipping it into the middle of a conversation about what colours fit each Chosen Girl and Lost Boy most. At first, Mermaid doesn't realise it and carries on with their discussion until she suddenly perks up, startled by Akiko's sudden revelation, later getting angry at Akiko for not telling her about it earlier and spilling about it in such a "normal" way
- Fakes a fit in front of the people whom know about her health condition for April Fool's, scaring them to death as they had all believed that being in Neverland meant having eternal health. After seeing how affected they were, Akiko is very moved and immediately apologises, promising never to do it again
- Akiko wakes up on the wrong side of the bed and ends up having a bad day, causing everyone else to want to lift her spirits, later realising that she was just desperately craving for hashbrowns, cooking up a ton of them to satisfy her cravings
