we met speeding 140 mph eight miles above the sea
she wore a snazzy red uniform and a pilot hat
and spoke with an accent I never heard of

despite her eyepatch she was a crack shot with her blue death ray
took me out for a flight and my head was spinning long afterwards
she dueled with me on the top of a zeppelin
and i caught her or maybe she caught my hand in the very last minute

I did not try to take away her blue death ray
besides it could be used for peaceful purposes
And I was an adventure-seeker not a priest
and over all the blue death ray matched her eye color

Her plane is elsewhere. She still wields her blue death ray.
I drop by. We talk sometimes and flirt. You know, there's still fun to be had.
I never really wanted her to win, but she never really won anyway.
