Guide to setting miner up

Guide for Windows in the guides on the sites advised I do believe there is Linux and Pie support but for that would be beyond me as am no pi expert or Linux user all windows support details but in the guide on bitcointalk there is some advice on setting up with pi

The guide on there is for using BFGminer or CGMINER if you want a simple way to do it to learn and get use to it you can use bitminter

You will need java on your system too

Make a separate email up so it is not linked with your main email too

1 Download install java
2 Download drivers
3 put the device into USB on pc or laptop you will get a green flashing light don't worry this is normal when it goes to solid green this is meaning its active and ready for mining.
Right click on my computer and click properties then click on device manager now look for ports COM &LPT you should see your device in their or show up as an unknown device. Now install the drivers.
4 sign up to bitminter once confirmed account download client this is under tools along top menu bitminter client version 1.6.1 once downloaded run it will ask you to login. On bitminter u should see a list of devices red x any devices that are their other than keeping one called icarus that is your pen drive. Login and you should be gold to mine and earth with pen. Speeds can be temperamental with this software as it is java. You might want to learn the other guide for cgminer and bfg miner as you can then choose what pool you mine on and get better results with them. Whether or not these are going to be profitable anymore I honestly do not know
