"H-hello i am Marsha Mathers and i am uhm...youre lead investigator for this mission today. if you open the binders in front of you, you will see that yoou are investigating a circus that has many families disappearing and turning up dead."

2:26 PM <padri> She nods. "I will go get dressed for a circus." She aims for a similar vibe to the people who went missing, then heads for the car!

2:27 PM <Vorcha> Laurens also goes get changed in his least formal attire, which still makes him look like a young dad at a church event.
2:27 PM <Odocoileus> once everyone is ready we can time skip to just right out the circus.
2:27 PM <plaidypus> Jameson doesn't change out of his clothes, as he's already in civilian attire.

2:28 PM <madness_> Ace collects a revolver, speedloader, and some loose rounds. He wears something for a casual outing ( long shirt to conceal the IWB holster ) and is ready for the skip!
2:29 PM <Vorcha> Laurens goes with a nice shoulder bag to keep his other gear in, really leaning into that look. He is ready.
2:30 PM <plaidypus> Jameson also already has his knives and a truncheon, though he retrieves his backpack.
2:31 PM <Odocoileus> Right! Once you all arrive at the circus you are greeted by goofy clowns giving out balloon animals. the smell of fresh carnival food wafts through the air. there are some side tents set up with various side shows like a fire breather, aa juggler, and a clown preforming a silent act. the big tent is closed till the evening when the show will start. what will you all do first?
2:33 PM <padri> Enjoy the circus! Liliya takes a balloon animal and goes to get some carnival food!
2:33 PM <padri> She puts on her field-persona, all smiley, high-energy, and engaged in the world around her.
2:34 PM <Odocoileus> liliya you get a giraffe! and ooo there is corn dogs and caramel pop corn and funnel cake and bunches of yummy garbage food!

2:35 PM <padri> Caramel pop corn. And while she eats it, she people watches. Does anyone stand out?

2:37 PM <padri> What about the circus attendees, not the performers? Any of them stand out?
2:37 PM <Odocoileus> one of the firebreathers goes on break and begins to head to the staff area. they look strangely at laurens and jameson as they try to get into the staff area.

2:38 PM <padri> Then she heads over there to watch that act!
2:38 PM <Odocoileus> the clown walks away from jameson and laurens. then the firebreather speaks up. "can i help you fellas with anything? are you lost?"
2:39 PM <Vorcha> "No, we are here to inspect this facility."
2:40 PM <Odocoileus> the juggler is juggling swords currently and looks to liliya and waggles his eyebrows. "Ms. would you like to come up and help me do a wonderful spectacular trick?!"
2:40 PM <padri> "I'd love to!" She's put on her American accent again for field work. She steps up!
2:41 PM <Odocoileus> "where are your badges and the police have already been here man"
2:41 PM <plaidypus> "who're you, weirdo? I'm a new performer, and I'm looking for someplace to take a quick break, have a lil smoke, y'know? Know where I could do that?"
2:41 PM <Odocoileus> the juggler helps liliya on to the staage and bows. "now what is your name love?"
2:42 PM <Odocoileus> The firebreather glares at jameson. "we arent supposed to get anyone new until we go to the next town."
2:42 PM <Vorcha> "I did not say we are law enforcement, although the fact that you believe we are is worrying." He removes a notebook from his shoulder bag and begins to write in it. "Legally suspect."
2:43 PM <plaidypus> "I know that. I'm not /that/ new." Jameson rolls his eyes
2:43 PM <padri> "Lily." She looks super excited about this!
2:43 PM <Odocoileus> "and gees you guys have no manners.." he rubs the back of his neck. "Well you should talk to my supervisor then he is still in the fire breathing tent. "
2:44 PM <padri> She even looks out into the crowd and grins at the people she was standing near.

2:45 PM <madness_> Ace watches from the crowd, pushing up his baseball cap to get a better view!

2:45 PM <padri> She catches them, assuming they're easy tosses.
2:46 PM <plaidypus> "Listen, I just wanna have like a 15 minute smoke, so I can get back to work. I'm a juggler, not a fire-breather, so it looks kinda sus, y'know? Where I gotta go for that?" Jameson cracks a grin.
2:47 PM <Odocoileus> the fire breather leads them over to his supervisor and yells for him in louissiana french. "we got buddies again!"

2:48 PM <plaidypus> Jameson responds in perfect Louisiana French; [You think I'm a buddy?! I'm flattered!]
2:48 PM <Odocoileus> liliya they are easy catches. and then suddenly he throwsa few more. now she has about 10 balls in her arms.

2:49 PM <Vorcha> Laurens' own french is a bit stilted but considering how he talks that's actually not really notable. [He is his own man.]
2:49 PM <Odocoileus> the firebreather looks at jameson and then back at laurens. "Why are you guys here?" he sighs as his supervisor gets off the stage and closes up the tent.
2:50 PM <Odocoileus> liliya people laugh and he helps her with the balls. "ill just takea couple of these back." he begins to juggle them one handed. "now what brought you to this lovely circus today ms lily!"

2:52 PM <padri> "My boyfriend brought me on a date.~" She nods towards Ace.

2:52 PM <Odocoileus> a hulking man with a long beard walks up to them and puts a hand on the other fire breathers shoulder and shoos him away. "[how can i help ya fellas]"
2:53 PM <Odocoileus> "ohh lalala love is in the air isnt it!" he motions for her to throw another ball!
2:53 PM <padri> She throws a ball to him!
2:53 PM <Odocoileus> the hulking man lets out a long groan. "[What are your names first. man you people have no politeness in ya]"
2:54 PM <plaidypus> [Listen my big friend, I am just here trying to have a nice quick smoke, so that I can go back to work. are you really the type of man to deny another his simple pleasures?]
2:54 PM <Odocoileus> he pretends to fall over catching it and laughs. " have you ever been to our circus young lady?"
2:55 PM <madness_> Ace smiles and waves up to her. While he's not doing much, he surveys the different side tents. Does there seem to be anything even slightly related to mummies in the tents?
2:55 PM <Odocoileus> he pulls out his zippo and light it. "[You can smoke right here my friend]'
2:55 PM <plaidypus> [Ah, yes sir, my mother would be ashamed! I am Rhett, Rhett LaGrange.]

2:56 PM <plaidypus> Jameson smiles, pulls out his own zippo and a nice fat cigar, and cuts and lights it.

2:58 PM <madness_> Ace tries to catch as many as he can, but he was half paying attention and drops a fair few!

3:00 PM <Odocoileus> the balls roll away and the juggler laughs. "he droped the ball on that one didnt he!"the crowd laughs and snickers a little. the juggler pulls ace up on stage. here ace has a better veiw of the whole place and there is no signs of any mummy realated activity.

3:14 PM <padri> Liliya steps off the stage and whispers to Ace - "It looks like we have trouble over there. Do you want to get involved?"
3:15 PM <madness_> "If they're just gonna beat him up, I don't see the point. Knife, pipe or gun, I'll intercept."

3:18 PM <padri> Before he gets too far away, Liliya slips out a bug and approaches him. "Thanks for inviting me up on stage. It was a real hoot." She goes to shake his hand and sneak the bug in his sleeve.

She presses her forehead against hers and chants something under her breath. Liliya may feel lighter for a moment and then returns to normal. She has a small glowing symbol on her forehead before it suddenly fades away.

6:32 PM <Odocoileus> She does the same to him and he will see lights flash inside his head as she does this. The same symbol appears on his forehead and then quickly disappears
