- HARD MAGIC SYSTEM CONCEPT:
- there were these 5 great sages, each one who preferred a tool of war; the sword, the warhammer, the spear, the bow, and a shield. they knew shit about how reality worked, so they made tools out of concepts, which they used to reshape the world by destroying other concepts:
- - sword like cuts shit, but can repair it, or essentially "mend" by putting materials inbetween
- - warhammer just breaks shit utterly, no chance of fixing it
- - spear is very precise, can do stuff like--for instance--a Spear of Mind could remove someone's memory of their foe's face and name, without affecting the rest of their mind
- - bow is "removal" of a concept; while Sword would remove parts of a concept or just split them open to replace, bow specifically removes that concept by firing it away - warhammer would break fire by extinguishing it, sword could split fire by making it something else, but a bow could remove the fire's heat, keeping it exactly the same, but not burning
- - shield is protection from a concept, such as protection from armor allowing the user to just pass through armor with their skin, or protection from flames... being what you'd imagine
- the sage of bow had a son (which the sages weren't supposed to before reincarnating) who inherited some power, but wanted to be better than all the others. he became a beast, making it so that his powers embody their concepts; their user could *become* fire, they could *become* nightmares themselves, all that OP shit. beasts are to be killed on sight, and never trusted
