  4. Xelten says in Ilithic, "Quite a storm."
  5.
  6. < Moving like a striking snake, you feint an ivory-hilted jambiya at an Adan'f blood warrior. An Adan'f blood warrior attempts to evade, pivoting toward safety but still partially within harm's reach. The jambiya lands a glancing blow to the warrior's abdomen.

  15.
  16. Xelten glances up at the sky.

  23. You quietly say in Ilithic, "I am getting used to the rain."
  24.
  25. Xelten says in Ilithic, "Hopefully, the weather will be better on Surlaenis."
  26.
  27. < Moving as one fluid extension of power, you feint an ivory-hilted jambiya at an Adan'f blood warrior. An Adan'f blood warrior fails to dodge. The jambiya lands a brushing hit to the warrior's left arm.

  29. [Roundtime 1 sec.]
  30.
  31. You give a slight nod.
  32.
  33. Driving in with naturally fluid movements, an Adan'f blood warrior swings a srhhtel hammer at Xelten. Xelten turns aside the hammer with a curved steel iltesh with an ironwood pommel carved into the shape of a leaf.
  34.
  35. You gaze off into the distance blankly.
  36.
  37. < Driving in with naturally fluid movements, you feint an ivory-hilted jambiya at an Adan'f blood warrior. An Adan'f blood warrior evades, stepping aside in the nick of time.
  38. [You're incredibly balanced and overwhelming opponent.]
  39.
  40. Xelten asks in Ilithic, "Do you still wish to go there?"
  41.
  42. You quietly say in Ilithic, "I promised it for your birthday. I have made it overdue enough."
  43.
  44. Xelten says in Ilithic, "I asked if you want to, however."
  45.
  46. Driving in like the irresistable force of a cyclone, you step backward and then slice at an Adan'f blood warrior. An Adan'f blood warrior attempts to dodge, avoiding only some of the blow. The jambiya lands a light hit to the warrior's chest.
  47. [You're incredibly balanced and overwhelming opponent.]
  48.
  49. Xelten says in Ilithic, "Then we will go whenever you are ready."
  50.
  51. Xelten says in Ilithic, "It's been some time since we punished the Red Sash."
  52.
  53. You quietly say in Ilithic, "They gave me quite a beating last time..."
  54.
  55. You gaze off into the distance blankly.
  56.
  57.
  58. * With the speed and temerity of a swooping falcon, an Adan'f blood warrior swings at you. You counter the fist with a gleaming silver scimitar.
  59. [You're solidly balanced with no advantage.]
  60.
  61.
  62. Xelten says in Ilithic, "I am looking forward to your revenge."
  63.
  64. You smile slightly.
  65.
  66. The blood warrior bares its teeth and hisses in mindless rage as it glares at you!
  67.
  68. * Moving like a striking snake, an Adan'f blood warrior pounds at you. You slap away the fist with a gleaming silver scimitar.

  72.
  73. You quietly say in Ilithic, "I do not know. Not until I speak with the Consul..."
  74.
  75. You gesture at an Adan'f blood warrior.
  76. You send a soft jolt of electricity from your fingertips toward an Adan'f blood warrior.
  77. An Adan'f blood warrior grimaces as it drops a battered oval shield and a srhhtel hammer from its fingers!
  78.
  79.
  80. Xelten asks in Ilithic, "Rather than sending him a letter?"
  81.
  82. You sigh.
  83.
  84. You quietly say in Ilithic, "I suppose, yes."
  85.
  86. You quietly say in Ilithic, "I will pen the letter as soon as I finish hunting."
  87.
  88. Xelten tilts his head back.
  89.
  90. < Driving in like the irresistable force of a cyclone, you chop an ivory-hilted jambiya at an Adan'f blood warrior. An Adan'f blood warrior fails to dodge. The jambiya lands a glancing blow to the warrior's right arm.
  91. [You're nimbly balanced and in good position.]
  92. [Roundtime 2 sec.]
  93.
  94. The blood warrior bares its teeth and hisses in mindless rage as it glares at you!
  95.
  96. Xelten says in Ilithic, "I was asking your preference between speaking to him directly or sending a letter."
  97.
  98. < Driving in like the irresistable force of a cyclone, you chop an ivory-hilted jambiya at an Adan'f blood warrior. An Adan'f blood warrior attempts to dodge, mainly avoiding the blow. The jambiya lands a glancing strike to the warrior's right arm.
  99. [You're nimbly balanced and in very strong position.]
  100.
  101. You quietly say in Ilithic, "I do not know. I will pen a letter and if he requests to speak with me, then I shall."
  102.
  103. You quietly ask in Ilithic, "Or do you prefer I speak to him?"
  104.
  105. Xelten says in Ilithic, "I imagine it will depend upon how he feels. It may serve better to explain the situation if you speak to him directly."
  106.
  107. Xelten shrugs.
  108.
  109. You hear Coryne's loud thoughts in your head saying, "We need to talk. Alone."
  110.
  111. Moving as one fluid extension of power, you step backward and then slice at an Adan'f blood warrior. An Adan'f blood warrior attempts to dodge, not quite escaping the blast. The jambiya lands a light hit to the warrior's left hand.
  112. [You're bruised, incredibly balanced and overwhelming opponent.]
  113. [Roundtime 1 sec.]
  114.
  115. You quietly say in Ilithic, "I am being summoned."
  116.
  117. Xelten asks in Ilithic, "Summoned?"
  118.
  119. >l ring
  120. It is a plain, unremarkable gold ring, save for the small but fascinating albredine crystal set in it.
  121.
  122. Xelten asks in Ilithic, "Summoned by who?"
  123.
  124. You rub your crystal ring.
  125. A low, almost subliminal buzz begins in the back of your mind.
  126.
  127. You hear your mental voice echo, to Coryne Where shall I meet you?
  128. You project your thoughts to Coryne.
  129.
  130. Xelten peers quizzically at you.
  131.
  132. You quietly say in Ilithic, "Coryne. I will need to speak with her alone."
  133.
  134. You quietly say in Ilithic, "She requested such."
  135. Xelten looks thoughtfully at you.
  136.
  137. Your mind hears Coryne thinking, "<to you>" Just south of the gem shop.
  138.
  139.
  140. Xelten says in Ilithic, "I will see you soon then, my love."
  141.
  142. You quietly say in Ilithic, "I will return to the Barrows as soon as I am done."
  143.
  144. [Whistling Wood, Barrows]
  145. One large tree has collapsed, partially blocking the pathway. The bark of the tree is riddled with hundreds of tiny holes that must have weakened it and caused its fall. A skull, yellowed with age, hangs by a frayed rope from one of the tree's branches. You also see an Adan'f blood warrior, a corroded brass caddy, a small star ruby, a tiny silver nugget, a srhhtel hammer, a small black opal, and some junk.
  146. Also here: Mage Xelten.
  147. Obvious paths: northeast, west.
  148.
  149. Xelten comes and stands near you.
  150.
  151. Xelten kisses you, letting his lips linger.
  152.
  153. You smile.
  154.
  155. >ne
  156. Xelten is engaged and unable to follow you.
  157. [Whistling Wood, Barrows]
  158. Jagged rocks and twisted roots turn the narrow trail into a challenge for the unwary, or clumsy, adventurer. The intertwined branches of the trees allow little light to shine into the area. Faint cuts mar the sides of some trees, as though some foolish townsman had once tried to cut down trees older than the city of Shard itself. You also see an Adan'f shadow mage.
  159. Obvious paths: northeast, southwest.
  160.
  161. (TRAVEL)
  162.
  163. [Shard, Diamond Street]
  164. Posh homes and gated buildings surrounded by snowy-blossomed cherry trees slowly overtake the more compact and tightly packed shops and homes that occupy the portion of Shard closest to the city gates. The street changes as it flows from north to south, its color shifting from bottle green to a dark, lapis blue. A gate of ebony and steel to the south divides the upper city from the lower, a tangible boundary between castes. You also see a pool of black shadows, an elegant black marble manor with a dragon-shaped cast iron lantern mounted by its entrance, a black marble manor with a carved ivory fountain shaped like a pair of young children leaning back to back, an ivory white quartz block manor with a huge marble fountain spouting crystal clear water, and a granite block manor with a weeping willow dangling over the roof.
  165. Also here: Fateweaver Coryne.
  166. Obvious paths: north.
  167.
  168. Coryne unlocks the door to a black marble manor.
  169.
  170. Coryne smiles.
  171.
  172. Coryne hugs you, and you wrap your arms around her with a warm
  173. smile.
  174.
  175. Coryne opens the door to a black marble manor.
  176.
  177. You hug Coryne. A faint scent of belladonna clings to her skin.
  178. Coryne motions toward a black marble manor.
  179.
  180. Coryne says in Ilithic, "After you"
  181.
  182. You nod.
  183.
  184. You walk through the door of a black marble manor.
  185. [Taleek's Home]
  186. A polished ebonwood floor spreads across this room into surrounding walls of silver-veined black marble. A polished platinum brazier, a large teak-framed aquarium hanging above it, stands guard over the platinum gilt bed and lustrous flamewood table that rest upon an ebony and silver silk rug covering the floor. A mild scent of belladonna fills the air. You also see a diamond-paned frosted glass window, a door, a rich-toned flamewood chair that is facing the table, a rich-toned flamewood chair that is facing the door, a rich-toned flamewood chair that is facing the table, a rich-toned flamewood chair that is facing the table and a small rock.
  187. Obvious exits: none
  188.
  189. You begin to wonder if the house rock wasn't sitting in another spot a few moments ago.
  190.
  191. Coryne walks in the door.
  192.
  193. Coryne closes the door.
  194.
  195. Coryne rattles the handle of the door.
  196.
  197. Coryne says in Ilithic, "Please, have a seat."
  198.
  199. You sit down on a rich-toned flamewood chair.
  200.
  201. You quietly say in Ilithic, "Thank you."
  202.
  203. You softly ask in Ilithic, "Is everything alright?"
  204.
  205. Coryne says in Ilithic, "I trust I don't have to ask if your husband stalked you in."
  206.
  207. You softly say in Ilithic, "I honestly do not know..."
  208.
  209. You glance at a door.
  210.
  211. You focus on your love for Xelten, and see...
  212.
  213. [Whistling Wood, Barrows]
  214. One large tree has collapsed, partially blocking the pathway. The bark of the tree is riddled with hundreds of tiny holes that must have weakened it and caused its fall. A skull, yellowed with age, hangs by a frayed rope from one of the tree's branches. You also see an Adan'f blood warrior, a corroded brass caddy, a tiny silver nugget, a srhhtel hammer, a small black opal, and some junk.
  215. Also here: Mage Xelten.
  216. Obvious paths: northeast, west.
  217. You feel a faint warmth, as though someone reached toward you with a loving hand.
  218.
  219. Coryne makes a careless gesture as she begins an almost musical chant.
  220.
  221. Coryne gestures.
  222.
  223. You softly say in Ilithic, "He is in the barrows."
  224.
  225. Coryne gestures.
  226.
  227. Coryne gives a slight nod.
  228.
  229. Coryne says in Ilithic, "Indeed he is."
  230.
  231. Coryne says in Ilithic, "Just checking."
  232.
  233. Your mind hears Xelten thinking, "<to you>" I am being located by someone other than you as well.
  234.
  235. The house rock sits, nobly inert.
  236.
  237. Coryne says in Ilithic, "I'm sure he'll love the locate."
  238.
  239. Coryne snickers.
  240.
  241. You softly say in Ilithic, "He just questioned me on it."
  242.
  243. You gesture at an albredine crystal ring.
  244.
  245. Coryne snickers.
  246.
  247. Coryne says in Ilithic, "You know nothing about it."
  248.
  249. Coryne waves dismissively.
  250.
  251. You smile.
  252.
  253. Coryne sits down on a rich-toned flamewood chair.
  254.
  255. Coryne asks in Ilithic, "How are you?"
  256.
  257. You softly say in Ilithic, "He has followed me before, so it was worth checking..."
  258.
  259. Coryne gazes thoughtfully at you.
  260.
  261. You softly say in Ilithic, "I am.... alright, I suppose."
  262.
  263. You sigh.
  264.
  265. Coryne gets a jug of brown ale from inside her spidersilk pouch.
  266.
  267. Coryne offers you a jug of brown ale. Enter ACCEPT to accept the offer or DECLINE to decline it. The offer will expire in 30 seconds.
  268.
  269.
  270. You accept Coryne's offer and are now holding a jug of brown ale.
  271.
  272. Your red ruby on your forehead dims, then brightens. A dark gold pattern swirls briefly within the gem before fading.
  273.
  274. Coryne says in Ilithic, "I apologize I'm out of wine."
  275.
  276. Coryne wrinkles her nose.
  277.
  278. Your mind hears Xelten thinking, "<to you>" Was it the one you are with?
  279.
  280. You hear your mental voice echo, to Xelten Yes. There is no need to worry.
  281. You project your thoughts to Xelten.
  282.
  283. Your mind hears Xelten thinking, "<to you>" Why did she locate me?
  284.
  285. You softly say in Ilithic, "He seems quite concerned."
  286.
  287. You roll your eyes.
  288.
  289. You sigh.
  290.
  291. If you didn't know any better, you'd swear that the house rock was looking at you.
  292.
  293. Coryne says in Ilithic, "Let him be concerned."
  294.
  295. Coryne leans back.
  296.
  297. You hear your mental voice echo, to Xelten I do not know.
  298. You project your thoughts to Xelten.
  299.
  300. You softly ask in Ilithic, "How are you?"
  301.
  302. You smile at Coryne.
  303.
  304. Your mind hears Xelten thinking, "<to you>" It seems suspicious that you would both try to find me. Worried that I followed?
  305.
  306. Coryne asks in Ilithic, "How have things been with him since the confrontation at the Noose?"
  307.
  308. Coryne says in Ilithic, "I'm quite well. Aside from destroying myself twice in the Astral Plane."
  309.
  310. You hear your mental voice echo, to Xelten Perhaps someone may have been.
  311. You project your thoughts to Xelten.
  312.
  313. Coryne smirks.
  314.
  315. You softly say in Ilithic, "I am sorry to hear that."
  316.
  317. You frown.
  318.
  319. Coryne waves dismissively.
  320.
  321. Coryne says in Ilithic, "It happens."
  322.
  323. Your mind hears Xelten thinking, "<to you>" I've no reason to spy on the two of you.
  324.
  325. Coryne says in Ilithic, "Both errors on my part."
  326.
  327. You hear your mental voice echo, to Xelten Did I say that I thought you would?
  328. You project your thoughts to Xelten.
  329.
  330. Coryne says in Ilithic, "I didn't ask you here to chat about me, however."
  331.
  332. Your mind hears Xelten thinking, "<to you>" No, but now you are more certain that I will not.
  333.
  334. You softly say in Ilithic, "In reference to your question, Xelten is requesting that I go to Aesry with him. To... stay out of public eye until things... blow over..."
  335.
  336. Coryne raises an eyebrow.
  337.
  338. Coryne asks in Ilithic, "What did you tell him?"
  339.
  340. You softly say in Ilithic, "I told him that I did not wish to go until I had spoken with the Consul."
  341.
  342. Coryne gives a slight nod.
  343.
  344. Coryne asks in Ilithic, "His response?"
  345.
  346. You sense something moving behind you, but when you turn to look, you see only the house rock.
  347.
  348. You softly say in Ilithic, "He does not seem enthusiastic about me speaking with him. Initially I had mentioned writing a letter rather than speaking directly and Xelten mentioned this."
  349.
  350. You softly say in Ilithic, "It seemed as if he preferred that I not speak directly. "
  351.
  352. Coryne gives a slight nod.
  353.
  354. Coryne says in Ilithic, "Of course he would prefer that."
  355.
  356. You softly say in Ilithic, "He does not seem nearly as bothered by it all as I am."
  357.
  358. You gaze down at the floor.
  359.
  360. Coryne squints.
  361.
  362. Coryne asks in Ilithic, "He's not bothered that he lopped off your head because of your choice in friends?"
  363.
  364. You quietly say in Ilithic, "He keeps claiming that it was an accident and that he did not intend to..."
  365.
  366. You quietly say in Ilithic, "He says that he did not notice that I was so shaken from the previous strike..."
  367.
  368. You frown.
  369.
  370. Coryne rolls her eyes.
  371.
  372. You quietly say in Ilithic, "However... It seems obvious that you would be a bit stunned if someone shattered your arm..."
  373.
  374. You sigh.
  375.
  376. Coryne nods at you, obviously agreeing with your views.
  377.
  378. You ponder.
  379.
  380. Coryne asks in Ilithic, "Was that duel the only time he's struck you physically?"
  381.
  382. You quietly say in Ilithic, "Physically, yes."
  383.
  384. Coryne gives a slight nod.
  385.
  386. The house rock sits, nobly inert.
  387.
  388. Coryne leans back.
  389.
  390. You quietly say in Ilithic, "I believe however that I prefer the broken neck to his verbal accusations that seem so common these days."
  391.
  392. Coryne asks in Ilithic, "Yes, where exactly did this rumor of you carrying Fierolan's child come from?"
  393.
  394. Your red ruby pulses against your forehead, giving off a faint glow.
  395.
  396. Coryne says in Ilithic, "I would offer congratulations were it true."
  397.
  398. Coryne winks at you.
  399.
  400. You quietly say in Ilithic, "Xelten's mind, it would seem..."
  401.
  402. You look at Coryne and blush.
  403.
  404. Coryne asks in Ilithic, "Are you pregnant?"
  405.
  406. Coryne raises an eyebrow in your direction.
  407.
  408. You shake your head.
  409.
  410. Coryne asks in Ilithic, "Were you?"
  411.
  412. You shake your head.
  413.
  414. Coryne asks in Ilithic, "So, he just decided that you were?"
  415.
  416. You quietly say in Ilithic, "The Consul and I had met privately not too long ago and when Xelten requested me to inform him of what was spoke of, I politely declined. He was... less than happy about such and came to the conclusion based on my reluctance that something had happened and that I was hiding something from him."
  417.
  418. The house rock quietly sparkles in the light.
  419.
  420. You quietly say in Ilithic, "So he thought of the worst thing that he thought I could possibly do... and that was... to be carrying the Consul's child and plotting to take the child I already have and move in with him and leave Xelten."
  421.
  422. You nibble your lip thoughtfully.
  423.
  424. Coryne snickers.
  425.
  426. Coryne says in Ilithic, "I give him credit for creativity."
  427.
  428. You quietly say in Ilithic, "It makes me wonder if he has forgotten what all is involved in having a child.... if he believes that the Consul and I accomplished so much all in one sitting..."
  429.
  430. You clear your throat.
  431.
  432. You blush slightly, the tips of your ears flushing with warmth.
  433.
  434. Coryne says in Ilithic, "Indeed. I would think you are the most fertile Elf in the lands."
  435.
  436. Coryne chuckles.
  437.
  438. You hear a faint scratching sound but when you turn to look you only see the house rock.
  439.
  440. Coryne says in Ilithic, "Well."
  441.
  442. Coryne says in Ilithic, "I spoke with Fierolan."
  443.
  444. You quietly ask in Ilithic, "So yes, there was no basis for the accusation that... he... what?"
  445.
  446. You gaze at Coryne.
  447.
  448. Coryne flashes a quick grin at you.
  449.
  450. Coryne says in Ilithic, "I spoke with Fierolan."
  451.
  452. You quietly ask in Ilithic, "In regards to?"
  453.
  454. You peer quizzically at Coryne.
  455.
  456. Coryne says in Ilithic, "You. Xelten. The confrontation at the Noose. The rumors of your carrying Fierolan's child.."
  457.
  458. Coryne waves dismissively.
  459.
  460. Coryne says in Ilithic, "Essentially, everything."
  461.
  462. Coryne smiles.
  463.
  464. Your skin takes on a pasty color.
  465.
  466. You hesitantly ask in Ilithic, "What all did he... have to say?"
  467.
  468. Coryne says in Ilithic, "I believe my favorite was when he called your husband a tyrant worse than Raenilar."
  469.
  470. Coryne hums a spriteful tune.
  471.
  472. You cover your mouth with your hand.
  473.
  474. You quietly say in Ilithic, "That is an... interesting comparison..."
  475.
  476. You ponder.
  477.
  478. Coryne says in Ilithic, "Of course, he did leap out of his chair quite impressively when I told him the rumor of your pregnancy."
  479.
  480. Coryne says in Ilithic, "You could feel the ice on his words."
  481.
  482. Coryne says in Ilithic, "I believe he gives Xelten too much credit likening him to Raenilar."
  483.
  484. Coryne chuckles.
  485.
  486. You hesitantly say in Ilithic, "But.. I am certain he knew of it already... I spoke with him on it and informed him of the accusations..."
  487.
  488. Coryne says in Ilithic, "If he knew already, he didn't let on to me that he did."
  489.
  490. You ponder.
  491.
  492. Coryne says in Ilithic, "Of course... I mentioned it was vaguely alluded to during the confrontation."
  493.
  494. You give a slight nod.
  495.
  496. Your red ruby on your forehead dims, then brightens. A dark gold pattern swirls briefly within the gem before fading.
  497.
  498. Coryne says in Ilithic, "That could be merely my imagination, but I swear there was a remark regarding it."
  499.
  500. You hesitantly say in Ilithic, "I believe it was, to be honest... when all his accusations were being thrown out in the open.."
  501.
  502. You quietly say in Ilithic, "So much was said I... barely remember it all. My head was reeling."
  503.
  504. You sigh.
  505.
  506. Coryne nods at you, obviously agreeing with your views.
  507.
  508. You quietly say in Ilithic, "But yes, I believe that accusation was mentioned."
  509.
  510. Coryne smiles slightly.
  511.
  512. Coryne says in Ilithic, "Good. I'd hate to think I misled Fierolan."
  513.
  514. Coryne wrinkles her nose.
  515.
  516. You quietly say in Ilithic, "I only wish I could remember who mentioned it... I hope that it was not myself.... though I am certain that all present for the meeting was already aware of the accusation of the pregnancy."
  517.
  518. You ponder.
  519.
  520. You say in Ilithic, "/queit Taleek knew at least...."
  521.
  522. Coryne says in Ilithic, "Taleek mentioned it to me."
  523.
  524. Coryne says in Ilithic, "Along with the other rumors."
  525.
  526. Coryne says in Ilithic, "Such as, him kissing you to get back at Xelten for holding my attention, or whatever that nonsense was."
  527.
  528. Coryne waves dismissively.
  529.
  530. You quietly say in Ilithic, "Yes, I was confused by that comment as well."
  531.
  532. You give a slight nod.
  533.
  534. You quietly say in Ilithic, "I feel horrible that the Consul has been dragged into all of this."
  535.
  536. You gaze down at the floor.
  537.
  538. You quietly say in Ilithic, "The rumors, that is."
  539.
  540. You quietly say in Ilithic, "He is a very honorable man. He does not deserve to be slandered by such rumors, especially regarding one such as myself."
  541.
  542. Coryne asks in Ilithic, "So Xelten did make that comment about me? And then lied directly to me when I asked him about it?"
  543.
  544. You blink.
  545.
  546. You ponder.
  547.
  548. You quietly say in Ilithic, "Oh.... "
  549.
  550. You quietly say in Ilithic, "I had nearly forgotten about it..."
  551.
  552. You sigh.
  553.
  554. Coryne says in Ilithic, "You do yourself a great injustice if you think so lowly of yourself."
  555.
  556. You quietly say in Ilithic, "I believe it is more that I merely think that much higher of him. I can only hope to be like him one day."
  557.
  558. Coryne gives a slight nod.
  559.
  560. You quietly say in Ilithic, "Until that day, I could never think of myself as good enough for him."
  561.
  562. You smile slightly.
  563.
  564. Coryne flashes a quick grin at you.
  565.
  566. Coryne says in Ilithic, "Fierolan is very concerned for your well-being."
  567.
  568. Coryne says in Ilithic, "As am I."
  569.
  570. Your red ruby on your forehead glows hotly.
  571.
  572. You begin to wonder if the house rock wasn't sitting in another spot a few moments ago.
  573.
  574. Coryne says in Ilithic, "In fact, it was he that requested my presence to speak about your situation."
  575.
  576. You ponder.
  577.
  578. You quietly ask in Ilithic, "He did?"
  579.
  580. Coryne nods to you.
  581.
  582. You quietly ask in Ilithic, "So... he knew of it already?"
  583.
  584. Coryne says in Ilithic, "Apparently so."
  585.
  586. You quietly ask in Ilithic, "Or... do you not refer to the confrontation at the Noose?"
  587.
  588. Coryne says in Ilithic, "When Kitya thoughtcasted me she specifically said Fierolan wanted to talk with me about you, Ayrell."
  589.
  590. Coryne says in Ilithic, "And about what's happening with your husband."
  591.
  592. You give a slight nod.
  593.
  594. You quietly ask in Ilithic, "Was Kitya present for the meeting?"
  595.
  596. Coryne nods to you.
  597.
  598. You quietly say in Ilithic, "So she knows too, then."
  599.
  600. You nibble your lip thoughtfully.
  601.
  602. Coryne nods.
  603.
  604. Coryne asks in Ilithic, "Do you not trust her?"
  605.
  606. You quietly say in Ilithic, "Oh, it is not that at all. She is just another of whom I think very highly of... and thanks to my darling husband I fear that I may have lost her friendship, and it saddens me."
  607.
  608. You gaze down at the floor.
  609.
  610. The house rock sits, nobly inert.
  611.
  612. Coryne asks in Ilithic, "How would you have lost her friendship?"
  613.
  614. Coryne raises an eyebrow in your direction.
  615.
  616. You quietly say in Ilithic, "He has been very rude to her in the past for no reason at all... as he rarely needs reason to be such."
  617.
  618. You quietly say in Ilithic, "There is little that can be done in those situations, unfortunately and a few times I fear that my words that I intended to try and calm things only made them worse."
  619.
  620. You sigh.
  621.
  622. You quietly say in Ilithic, "I kick myself over it constantly. I should have had the sense to just turn to him and tell him to close his mouth."
  623.
  624. Coryne smiles at you.
  625.
  626. You gaze down at the floor.
  627.
  628. If you didn't know any better, you'd swear that the house rock was looking at you.
  629.
  630. Coryne says in Ilithic, "I hardly believe that your friendships with Kitya and Fierolan have been hindered by Xelten's actions."
  631.
  632. Coryne says in Ilithic, "Fierolan, did in fact, say that you have been his friend for a very long time."
  633.
  634. You quietly say in Ilithic, "I feel justified in my concern however. They have been greatly wronged through all of this."
  635.
  636. You shake your head.
  637.
  638. You quietly say in Ilithic, "To have such rumors passed about you is... insulting."
  639.
  640. Coryne gives a slight nod.
  641.
  642. You quietly say in Ilithic, "I wish that there was a way to stop them..."
  643.
  644. You gaze off into the distance blankly.
  645.
  646. You sigh.
  647.
  648. Coryne says in Ilithic, "I have no doubt that Fierolan will take care of those rumors swiftly and surely."
  649.
  650. Coryne smiles.
  651.
  652. You quietly say in Ilithic, "It must be even more uncomfortable for him to hear such than it is for me."
  653.
  654. The house rock sits, nobly inert.
  655.
  656. Coryne raises an eyebrow in your direction.
  657.
  658. You quietly say in Ilithic, "Given his position and all."
  659.
  660. You give a slight nod.
  661.
  662. Coryne waves dismissively.
  663.
  664. Coryne says in Ilithic, "Nonsense."
  665.
  666. Your red ruby on your forehead flares brightly, sending warmth cascading down your arms before fading.
  667.
  668. Coryne says in Ilithic, "Regardless, I have trust that all of this drama will be taken care of."
  669.
  670. Coryne says in Ilithic, "But Ayrell..."
  671.
  672. Coryne says in Ilithic, "You must show your strength against Xelten."
  673.
  674. The house rock quietly sparkles in the light.
  675.
  676. Coryne says in Ilithic, "He is only so protective over you because he realizes how valuable you are."
  677.
  678. You peer quizzically at Coryne.
  679.
  680. Coryne says in Ilithic, "He lucked out. He knows he doesn't deserve you."
  681.
  682. You quietly ask in Ilithic, "Valuable?"
  683.
  684. Coryne says in Ilithic, "Yes. You have value."
  685.
  686. Coryne grins.
  687.
  688. You blush slightly, the tips of your ears flushing with warmth.
  689.
  690. You quietly say in Ilithic, "Seems I have not noticed."
  691.
  692. You smile slightly.
  693.
  694. Coryne chuckles.
  695.
  696. You quietly say in Ilithic, "However, I have attempted to show strength in the past and it has led to more misery and pain, unfortunately. Mentally he knows my weak point is guilt and physically... well... he is without a doubt stronger than I..."
  697.
  698. You rub your neck.
  699.
  700. Coryne gives a slight nod.
  701.
  702. Coryne says in Ilithic, "It is a weak point only because you allow it to be so."
  703.
  704. You begin to wonder if the house rock wasn't sitting in another spot a few moments ago.
  705.
  706. You quietly say in Ilithic, "Yes, this is true. I am far too compassionate toward him... I should not be so at this point."
  707.
  708. You sigh.
  709.
  710. Coryne asks in Ilithic, "You loved him once, yes?"
  711.
  712. You quietly say in Ilithic, "Yes.."
  713.
  714. You quietly say in Ilithic, "Part of me I believe still does... and then there is our daughter..."
  715.
  716. Coryne says in Ilithic, "Matters of the heart are always difficult."
  717.
  718. You quietly say in Ilithic, "Unfortunate for me, I do not have past experience with matters."
  719.
  720. You quietly say in Ilithic, "Such as this, that is."
  721.
  722. You sigh.
  723.
  724. Coryne exclaims in Ilithic, "I would hope not!"
  725.
  726. Coryne grins at you.
  727.
  728. You laugh softly, trying to hide your amusement.
  729.
  730. You quietly say in Ilithic, "I was a child throughout the war, and since that time was always far too busy for such things."
  731.
  732. The house rock sits, nobly inert.
  733.
  734. You quietly say in Ilithic, "This certainly has been a... learning experience."
  735.
  736. Coryne says in Ilithic, "Ayrell. if not for your sake, then for your daughter's sake, you must end this relationship with Xelten."
  737.
  738. You give a slight nod.
  739.
  740. Coryne asks in Ilithic, "If he is this controlling with you, how will he be with her?"
  741.
  742. Coryne raises an eyebrow in your direction.
  743.
  744. You quietly say in Ilithic, "Yes, I have thought of that... and..."
  745.
  746. You nibble your lip thoughtfully.
  747.
  748. You quietly say in Ilithic, "I will be ending it... but he cannot know..."
  749.
  750. Coryne says in Ilithic, "Someone once told me that the care you give yourself is the care you give your loved ones."
  751.
  752. You glance at a diamond-paned frosted glass window.
  753.
  754. You quietly say in Ilithic, "My sister... is helping to arrange things... quietly..."
  755.
  756. Coryne gives a slight nod.
  757.
  758. You feel a faint warmth, as though someone reached toward you with a loving hand.
  759.
  760. Coryne says in Ilithic, "This manor is always open for you and your daughter."
  761.
  762. You frown.
  763.
  764. You quietly say in Ilithic, "He is looking for me."
  765.
  766. Coryne says in Ilithic, "If you like, I can have Taleek give you the extra key."
  767.
  768. Coryne says in Ilithic, "Let him look."
  769.
  770. You quietly say in Ilithic, "Can he not leave me be for ten roisaen..."
  771.
  772. You gaze at Coryne.
  773.
  774. Coryne asks in Ilithic, "What?"
  775.
  776. You quietly say in Ilithic, "I could not ask such of you or Taleek."
  777.
  778. Coryne says in Ilithic, "You aren't asking it."
  779.
  780. Coryne says in Ilithic, "I am offering it."
  781.
  782. Coryne winks at you.
  783.
  784. Your red ruby on your forehead glows hotly for a moment.
  785.
  786. Coryne says in Ilithic, "There is plenty of room and we hardly ever use it."
  787.
  788. You quietly say in Ilithic, "And to explain, he has an issue with me talking to others without him present, as I am certain you are aware. When he knows I am doing so, he tries to check up on me."
  789.
  790. Coryne nods.
  791.
  792. Coryne says in Ilithic, "He cannot locate you here."
  793.
  794. You quietly say in Ilithic, "It is your home, though. I would hate to intrude. I mean, I appreciate the offer, it is very kind of you."
  795.
  796. You smile at Coryne.
  797.
  798. Coryne fixes you with a serene, lofty stare.
  799.
  800. Coryne says in Ilithic, "Stop. Right now. You would -not- be intruding."
  801.
  802. You gaze at Coryne.
  803.
  804. You hear your mental voice echo, to Xelten Looking for me, darling?
  805. You project your thoughts to Xelten.
  806.
  807. Your mind hears Xelten thinking, "<to you>" Merely curious if you are still with Coryne. I am waiting still in the barrows.
  808.
  809. You quietly say in Ilithic, "I would... gladly accept the hospitality. It would be.. nice to have a place to go where he cannot get to me."
  810.
  811. Coryne says in Ilithic, "I am not telling you to hide. I am giving you the option of a safe place for you and your daughter. A place to relax, be at peace."
  812.
  813. You give a slight nod.
  814.
  815. The house rock sits, nobly inert.
  816.
  817. You quietly say in Ilithic, "And the only place where I can be at peace and relax is a place where he cannot get to me."
  818.
  819. You hear your mental voice echo, to Xelten We are still speaking, yes.
  820. You project your thoughts to Xelten.
  821.
  822. Coryne says in Ilithic, "Precisely."
  823.
  824. Your mind hears Xelten thinking, "<to you>" Do you expect you will be long yet?
  825.
  826. Coryne asks in Ilithic, "So is that a yes?"
  827.
  828. Coryne smiles at you.
  829.
  830. You quietly say in Ilithic, "If you are certain that the both of you do not mind, then I will accept the offer. It is... very kind of you."
  831.
  832. You smile at Coryne.
  833.
  834. Coryne says in Ilithic, "I'm quite certain."
  835.
  836. You hear a faint scratching sound but when you turn to look you
  837. only see the house rock.
  838.
  839. Coryne says in Ilithic, "It is mainly my manor anyway. Taleek prefers the Noose."
  840.
  841. Coryne wrinkles her nose.
  842.
  843. You hear your mental voice echo, to Xelten I should not be much longer.
  844. You project your thoughts to Xelten.
  845.
  846. You laugh softly, trying to hide your amusement.
  847.
  848. Coryne says in Ilithic, "And I'm often travelling."
  849.
  850. Your mind hears Xelten thinking, "<to you>" Very well.
  851.
  852. You quietly say in Ilithic, "I would just hate for any further rumors to... pop up... I believe there are enough stories going around about me to last me a lifetime or... several."
  853.
  854. You sigh.
  855.
  856. Coryne grins.
  857.
  858. Coryne says in Ilithic, "If there are going to be rumors at least let them be something worth talking about."
  859.
  860. Coryne winks at you.
  861.
  862. You blush slightly, the tips of your ears flushing with warmth.
  863.
  864. You quietly say in Ilithic, "I suppose my largest concern is for Taleek, however. If Xelten learns of my staying here, or even suspects, he may attempt to go after Taleek.. as he did threaten to do such."
  865.
  866. You frown.
  867.
  868. Coryne laughs softly, trying to hide her amusement.
  869.
  870. Coryne says in Ilithic, "I'm quite sure Taleek can take care of himself."
  871.
  872. You quietly say in Ilithic, "Not that I believe he will succeed..."
  873.
  874. You nod to Coryne.
  875.
  876. You quietly say in Ilithic, "I just hate to cause more bother to him."
  877.
  878. Coryne says in Ilithic, "He is nearly in the top ten of his guild."
  879.
  880. You smile.
  881.
  882. Coryne says in Ilithic, "In truth, I believe he's hoping Xelten tries to meddle with him."
  883.
  884. You quietly ask in Ilithic, "Is it wrong of me to want to see him try?"
  885.
  886. You smile slightly.
  887.
  888. Coryne says in Ilithic, "No."
  889.
  890. Coryne smiles at you.
  891.
  892. Coryne says in Ilithic, "Xelten needs help. He has issues."
  893.
  894. Coryne says in Ilithic, "The situation is not healthy for you or your daughter."
  895.
  896. Your red ruby on your forehead glows hotly for a moment.
  897.
  898. You nod in agreement.
  899.
  900. You quietly say in Ilithic, "I will not argue that. Not anymore. There was a time once when I would have but... I cannot any longer."
  901.
  902. Coryne says in Ilithic, "You must find the strength within yourself to break away from him."
  903.
  904. Coryne says in Ilithic, "You aren't doing it alone, of course. You have plenty of support."
  905.
  906. Coryne smiles at you.
  907.
  908. You smile at Coryne.
  909.
  910. Coryne says in Ilithic, "But, you are the only one that can break that bond."
  911.
  912. You quietly say in Ilithic, "That is very reassuring. I appreciate it more than you could know."
  913.
  914. You nod to Coryne.
  915.
  916. Coryne says in Ilithic, "And I do know a few Clerics who would be more than happy to assist you with the procedure."
  917.
  918. Coryne winks at you.
  919.
  920. Your mind hears Xelten thinking, "<to you>" I may not be there when you arrive then. I've sustained an injury.
  921.
  922. You quietly say in Ilithic, "I will be sure to ask you for your recommendation then if my sister is unable to assist. She came to me and insisted the morning after that horrible incident at the Noose."
  923.
  924. You hear your mental voice echo, to Xelten Are you alright?
  925. You project your thoughts to Xelten.
  926.
  927. Coryne says in Ilithic, "I would recommend Tyrun, personally."
  928.
  929. Coryne grins wickedly.
  930.
  931. You ponder.
  932.
  933. Your mind hears Xelten thinking, "<to you>" Probably. Atladene is tending to me now.
  934.
  935. You quietly ask in Ilithic, "Why is that?"
  936.
  937. Coryne says in Ilithic, "If Xelten tries anything, Tyrun will tear him apart."
  938.
  939. Coryne smiles.
  940.
  941. Your mind hears Xelten thinking, "<to you>" I will head to the Rose when she is finished, I think.
  942.
  943. The house rock quietly sparkles in the light.
  944.
  945. You hear your mental voice echo, to Xelten Very well.
  946. You project your thoughts to Xelten.
  947.
  948. You quietly say in Ilithic, "I should also speak to the Consul then if he has been hearing of all this... I feel the need to apologize to him."
  949.
  950. Coryne says in Ilithic, "He's one of those that likes to tourney to prove himself."
  951.
  952. Coryne chuckles.
  953.
  954. You smile at Coryne.
  955.
  956. You quietly say in Ilithic, "I believe I may have met him a long time ago, but I have not seen him recently."
  957.
  958. Coryne says in Ilithic, "He asked me if anyone had seen you since the confrontation at the Noose."
  959.
  960. You quietly say in Ilithic, "I have made it a point to stay out of sight, honestly."
  961.
  962. You gaze down at the floor.
  963.
  964. Coryne says in Ilithic, "I thought as much."
  965.
  966. You quietly ask in Ilithic, "May I ask what you told him?"
  967.
  968. Coryne says in Ilithic, "I did my best to recap what happened at the Noose."
  969.
  970. Coryne says in Ilithic, "He thanked me for my information.."
  971.
  972. Coryne says in Ilithic, "Then I told him it was not a problem, as his reputation was on the line as well."
  973.
  974. You give a slight nod.
  975.
  976. Coryne says in Ilithic, "I felt he should have as much knowledge of the entire situation as possible."
  977.
  978. If you didn't know any better, you'd swear that the house rock was looking at you.
  979.
  980. You quietly say in Ilithic, "I have done what I can to correct the rumors when I have a chance. I just... did not realize how many people knew..."
  981.
  982. A *click* sound comes from the door.
  983. The door suddenly opens.
  984. Taleek walks in the door.
  985. Taleek closes the door.
  986. Taleek rattles the handle of the door.
  987. Taleek kisses Coryne. And he doesn't seem to want to stop.
  988. Taleek hugs you, and you wrap your arms around him with a warm smile.
  989.
  990. You hug Taleek.
  991.
  992. You smile at Taleek.
  993.
  994. Taleek says, "I can't stay long.."
  995.
  996. You give a slight nod.
  997.
  998. Taleek says, "I wanted to see how you were"
  999.
1000. You quietly say in Ilithic, "I will be better soon enough."
  1001.
  1002. You smile.
  1003.
1004. You hear a faint scratching sound but when you turn to look you only see the house rock.
  1005.
1006. Coryne says to Taleek, "I've offered Ayrell and her daughter the use of the manor until things blow over a bit."
  1007.
1008. Coryne asks Taleek, "Would you mind giving her the extra key?"
  1009.
  1010. Taleek smiles.
  1011.
  1012. Taleek says, "I think that's a great idea"
  1013.
1014. Taleek pats himself down looking for something!
  1015.
1016. Your red ruby on your forehead glows hotly.
  1017.
1018. Taleek says, "Now where did I put that key.."
  1019.
  1020. [Taleek's Home]
1021. You also see a diamond-paned frosted glass window, a door, a rich-toned flamewood chair that is facing the table, a rich-toned flamewood chair that is facing the table and a small rock.
1022. Also here: Professor Taleek, Fateweaver Coryne who is sitting on a rich-toned flamewood chair that is facing the door.
  1023. Obvious exits: none
  1024.
1025. Taleek has designated you as his official guest.
  1026.
1027. Taleek says, "Ahh, there we go."
  1028.
  1029. You smile at Taleek.
  1030.
1031. Coryne beams in loving admiration at Taleek!
  1032.
1033. You quietly say in Ilithic, "I thank you so much."
  1034.
1035. Taleek says, "It's not a problem at all"
  1036.
  1037. You hug Taleek.
  1038.
1039. Taleek hugs you, and you wrap your arms around him with a warm smile.
  1040.
  1041. Coryne smiles.
  1042.
1043. Coryne asks you in Ilithic, "Feel any better?"
  1044.
1045. You quietly say in Ilithic, "Quite a bit, actually."
  1046.
  1047. You smile.
  1048.
1049. Coryne beams at you! What a warm feeling!
  1050.
1051. You sense something moving behind you, but when you turn to look, you see only the house rock.
  1052.
1053. Taleek looks over the area with an appraising gaze.
1054. Taleek moves the furniture around.
  1055.
  1056. [Taleek's Home]
1057. An ebony and silver silk rug adorns the polished ebonwood floor of this room. A polished platinum brazier, a large teak-framed aquarium hanging above it, rests between a lustrous flamewood table and a platinum gilt bed pushed up against the silver-veined black marble walls. The room holds a mild scent of belladonna. You also see a diamond-paned frosted glass window, a door, a rich-toned flamewood chair that is facing the bed, a rich-toned flamewood chair that is facing the bed and a small rock.
1058. Also here: Professor Taleek, Fateweaver Coryne who is sitting on a rich-toned flamewood chair that is facing the door.
  1059. Obvious exits: none
  1060.
1061. Taleek moves the furniture around.
  1062. >l
  1063. [Taleek's Home]
1064. Walls of silver-veined black marble and a polished ebonwood floor covered by an ebony and silver silk rug enclose this room. In one corner lies a lustrous flamewood table, and near the table sits a platinum gilt bed on which rests an Estate Holder plaque. A polished platinum brazier burns along the far wall, above it hanging a large teak-framed aquarium. The room holds a mild scent of belladonna. You also see a diamond-paned frosted glass window, a door, a rich-toned flamewood chair that is facing the bed, a rich-toned flamewood chair that is facing the bed and a small rock.
1065. Also here: Professor Taleek, Fateweaver Coryne who is sitting on a rich-toned flamewood chair that is facing the door.
  1066. Obvious exits: none
  1067.
1068. Taleek says, "Trying to make it a bit more comfortable for you and the kid"
  1069.
  1070. Taleek grins at you.
  1071.
  1072. You smile at Taleek.
  1073.
1074. Coryne says in Ilithic, "And I've been nagging him to change it up for some time"
  1075.
  1076. Coryne grins.
  1077.
1078. You laugh softly, trying to hide your amusement.
  1079.
1080. Taleek moves the furniture around.
  1081.
1082. Taleek moves the furniture around.
  1083.
1084. You softly say in Ilithic, "Asilyia is not picky... and she will love the rock."
  1085.
1086. Coryne flashes a quick grin.
  1087.
1088. Coryne says in Ilithic, "That was my doing."
  1089.
  1090. You smile at Coryne.
  1091.
1092. The small rock is, all in all, an exquisite specimen. Its rough granite surface is peppered with sparkling flecks of white quartz and inky chips of jet mica. Although the house rock is not perfectly symmetrical, the character provided by its bulbous posterior more than makes up for any flaws.
  1093.
1094. Coryne says in Ilithic, "Very protective rock."
  1095.
  1096. Coryne chuckles.
  1097.
  1098. You nod in agreement.
  1099.
1100. Taleek moves the furniture around.
  1101. >l
  1102. [Taleek's Home]
1103. A polished ebonwood floor spreads across this room into surrounding walls of silver-veined black marble. 1104. Also here: Professor Taleek, Fateweaver Coryne who is sitting on a rich-toned flamewood chair that is facing the door.
  1105. Obvious exits: none
  1106.
1107. The house rock quietly sparkles in the light.
  1108.
1109. Taleek moves the furniture around.
  1110.
  1111. Taleek ponders.
  1112.
1113. You softly say in Ilithic, "It knows we are talking about it."
  1114.
1115. You smile at a small rock.
  1116.
  1117. Coryne nods in agreement.
  1118.
1119. Coryne says in Ilithic, "Most intelligent rock I've ever seen."
  1120.
  1121. Coryne grins.
  1122.
  1123. You nod in agreement.
  1124.
1125. You feel a faint warmth, as though someone reached toward you with a loving hand.
  1126.
1127. Taleek moves the furniture around.
  1128.
1129. Coryne asks you in Ilithic, "Does Xelten know that you and I were speaking?"
  1130.
1131. You softly say in Ilithic, "Yes... and he just checked up on me again."
  1132.
  1133. You frown.
  1134.
1135. Taleek gets an Estate Holder plaque from its place on a platinum gilt bed.
  1136.
1137. Taleek offers Coryne an Estate Holder plaque.
  1138.
  1139. Taleek says, "Hold this"
  1140.
1141. You softly say in Ilithic, "This must be driving him crazy."
  1142.
  1143. Coryne frowns at Taleek.
  1144.
  1145. You shake your head.
  1146.
1147. Your mind hears Xelten thinking, "<to you>" Is this related to the Eye?
  1148.
  1149. You sigh.
  1150.
1151. Coryne asks in Ilithic, "What did you tell him?"
  1152.
1153. Coryne raises an eyebrow in your direction.
  1154.
1155. Coryne accepts Taleek's Estate Holder plaque.
  1156.
1157. You softly say in Ilithic, "Now he is asking about what we are talking about."
  1158.
1159. You softly say in Ilithic, "I have told him nothing so far."
  1160.
1161. Coryne offers Taleek an Estate Holder plaque.
  1162.
1163. Taleek accepts Coryne's Estate Holder plaque.
  1164.
1165. Coryne asks in Ilithic, "Then how did he know you were talking with me?"
  1166.
  1167. Coryne winks at you.
  1168.
1169. You softly say in Ilithic, "He asked me where I was going, I told him I was meeting with you... and when he seemed to think he was coming along I informed him that we were meeting alone."
  1170.
1171. You softly say in Ilithic, "He was not thrilled."
  1172.
  1173. Coryne nods.
  1174.
1175. The house rock sits, nobly inert.
  1176.
1177. You softly say in Ilithic, "And clearly cannot focus on anything other than my being away from him with other people."
  1178.
1179. You sarcastically say in Ilithic, "Next thing he will start thinking I am pregnant with your child."
  1180.
  1181. You wink at Coryne.
  1182.
1183. You softly say in Ilithic, "Makes about as much sense as the last one..."
  1184.
  1185. You sigh.
  1186.
  1187. Coryne snickers.
  1188.
1189. You hear your mental voice echo, to Xelten In a way, yes.
1190. You project your thoughts to Xelten.
  1191.
1192. Coryne asks in Ilithic, "What will you tell him?"
  1193.
1194. Your mind hears Xelten thinking, "<to you>" Be careful. I do not trust Coryne; she is dangerous, and you've been with her a rather long time now. Where are you?
  1195.
1196. You hear your mental voice echo, to Xelten Her house. We are perfectly safe here.
1197. You project your thoughts to Xelten.
  1198.
1199. Your red ruby on your forehead flares brightly.
  1200.
1201. Your mind hears Xelten thinking, "<to you>" Her house? I was not aware she has a house, and any home of hers is not exactly safe.
  1202.
1203. You softly say in Ilithic, "He seems to have given me a perfect excuse. He is asking if this is in regards to... the Eye..."
  1204.
1205. Coryne flashes a quick grin.
  1206.
1207. Coryne says in Ilithic, "Yes. It is."
  1208.
1209. Coryne says in Ilithic, "The Eye has officially been disbanded."
  1210.
1211. You softly say in Ilithic, "He seems to think I am in danger being near you..."
  1212.
1213. Coryne laughs softly, trying to hide her amusement.
  1214.
  1215. You ponder.
  1216.
1217. Coryne asks in Ilithic, "More in danger than near him?"
  1218.
1219. Your mind hears Xelten thinking, "<to you>" Unless by her house you are meaning her husband's home, but I am certain you would not have gone there.
  1220.
1221. You softly say in Ilithic, "The length of time we have been together is making him nervous."
  1222.
  1223. You blink.
  1224.
1225. You softly say in Ilithic, "Um..."
  1226.
  1227. You fidget nervously.
  1228.
1229. Coryne raises an eyebrow in your direction.
  1230.
1231. You sense something moving behind you, but when you turn to look, you see only the house rock.
  1232.
1233. You softly say in Ilithic, "I will refrain from answering his last question..."
  1234.
1235. Coryne asks in Ilithic, "What was it?"
  1236.
1237. You softly say in Ilithic, "He asked where we were and I told him that we were at your home... I did not think that response through apparently. He informed me that he was not aware that you had a house."
  1238.
  1239. Coryne chuckles.
  1240.
1241. You softly say in Ilithic, "And then stated that, unless I was meaning your husband's house... and then commented that he is certain I would not have gone there..."
  1242.
1243. You look around, trying to appear nonchalant.
  1244. [Taleek's Home]
1245. Walls of silver-veined black marble and a polished ebonwood floor covered by an ebony and silver silk rug enclose this room. In one corner lies a lustrous flamewood table, and near the table sits a platinum gilt bed.
1246. Also here: Professor Taleek, Fateweaver Coryne who is sitting on a rich-toned flamewood chair that is facing the door.
  1247. Obvious exits: none
  1248.
1249. Coryne says in Ilithic, "It's a good thing I decided to meet you here rather than stay at Fierolan's."
  1250.
  1251. You ponder.
  1252.
1253. You softly ask in Ilithic, "Why is that?"
  1254.
1255. You hear your mental voice echo, to Xelten I will be by the Rose shortly.
1256. You project your thoughts to Xelten.
  1257.
1258. Coryne says in Ilithic, "I doubt that situation would prove any better."
  1259.
  1260. You nod in agreement.
  1261.
1262. Coryne says in Ilithic, "You'd have been at the house of the father of your nonexistant unborn child."
  1263.
1264. Your mind hears Xelten thinking, "<to you>" Very well, though this tastes suspicious.
  1265.
1266. You chortle softly at some secret joke.
  1267.
1268. Taleek says, "Ladies, I have to run for now"
  1269.
1270. Taleek hugs you, and you wrap your arms around him with a warm smile.
  1271.
1272. Taleek kisses Coryne. And he doesn't seem to want to stop.
  1273.
  1274. You smile at Taleek.
  1275.
1276. Taleek says, "I'll be back later"
  1277.
1278. You softly say in Ilithic, "Thank you again."
  1279.
  1280. Taleek says, "Of course"
  1281.
  1282. Taleek just left.
  1283.
1284. You hear a faint scratching sound but when you turn to look you only see the house rock.
  1285.
1286. Coryne says in Ilithic, "I don't recall if Xelten knows where the manor is located."
  1287.
1288. You softly say in Ilithic, "I do not believe that he does."
  1289.
1290. You softly say in Ilithic, "He has never been here to my knowledge."
  1291.
  1292. Coryne smiles.
  1293.
1294. Coryne says in Ilithic, "I may have brought him here... to discuss some things with the Mystic Sivan."
  1295.
1296. Coryne absentmindedly rubs her triple-stranded choker, deep in thought.
  1297.
1298. Coryne says in Ilithic, "That was some time ago, however."
  1299.
  1300. Coryne wrinkles her nose.
  1301.
1302. You softly say in Ilithic, "The fact that he cannot see what I am doing... he will be sure to smother me in questions when I see him next."
  1303.
1304. Coryne says in Ilithic, "You will be fine."
  1305.
1306. You softly ask in Ilithic, "So should I tell him that the Eye has been disbanded?"
  1307.
  1308. You ponder.
  1309.
  1310. Coryne nods to you.
  1311.
1312. Coryne says in Ilithic, "Please do."
  1313.
1314. Coryne winks and flashes a sly grin.
  1315.
  1316. You smile at Coryne.
  1317.
1318. Coryne says in Ilithic, "He'll ask about the length of time we've spent chatting."
  1319.
1320. Coryne says in Ilithic, "No doubt several times."
  1321.
  1322. Coryne rolls her eyes.
  1323.
  1324. You nod in agreement.
  1325.
1326. The house rock quietly sparkles in the light.
  1327.
1328. You softly say in Ilithic, "As I said, he is concerned for my safety."
  1329.
1330. Coryne dryly says in Ilithic, "I'm sure he is."
  1331.
1332. Coryne exclaims in Ilithic, "Oh!"
  1333.
1334. Coryne says in Ilithic, "I know."
  1335.
1336. You softly say in Ilithic, "By now I am certain that he has come to the conclusion that I am here and his mind will have created all sorts of inappropriate theories."
  1337.
1338. Coryne says in Ilithic, "Tell him I was asking you about the Warrior Mage guild."
  1339.
  1340. You ponder.
  1341.
1342. Coryne says in Ilithic, "I've met a young lass who just joined, and she needed advice."
  1343.
1344. You give a slight nod.
  1345.
1346. Coryne says in Ilithic, "Her name is Briari. She's Elothean."
  1347.
1348. Coryne says in Ilithic, "That much is not a lie."
  1349.
  1350. Coryne grins.
  1351.
1352. Your red ruby on your forehead glows hotly.
  1353.
1354. You softly say in Ilithic, "That is helpful."
  1355.
  1356. You smile at Coryne.
  1357.
1358. You softly say in Ilithic, "I will tell him if he lets me get a word in."
  1359.
  1360. Coryne chuckles.
  1361.
1362. Coryne says in Ilithic, "If he doesn't, that's fine."
  1363.
1364. Coryne says in Ilithic, "Oh"
  1365.
1366. Coryne says in Ilithic, "I also asked your advice on the wedding ceremony."
  1367.
  1368. Coryne ponders.
  1369.
1370. Coryne says in Ilithic, "What else..."
  1371.
1372. Coryne absentmindedly rubs her triple-stranded choker, deep in thought.
  1373.
1374. Coryne asks in Ilithic, "I think that would be sufficient don't you?"
  1375.
1376. You softly say in Ilithic, "Oh... we will be having an anniversary party very soon...."
  1377.
  1378. You smile slightly.
  1379.
1380. Coryne says in Ilithic, "Another excellent excuse."
  1381.
1382. Coryne flashes a quick grin at you.
  1383.
1384. You softly say in Ilithic, "I have survived three years of marriage... I am looking forward to the drinks..."
  1385.
  1386. You sigh.
  1387.
  1388. Coryne grins at you.
  1389.
1390. You take a sip of the ale -- very refreshing.
  1391.
  1392. You nod.
  1393.
1394. You softly say in Ilithic, "Yes. The drinks..."
  1395.
1396. Coryne says in Ilithic, "Might want a few more swigs before you go meet him."
  1397.
1398. There's ten sips left of the brown ale.
  1399.
1400. Coryne says in Ilithic, "Offer him a drink of it. Tell him it's from me."
  1401.
1402. Coryne chortles softly at some secret joke.
  1403.
1404. You laugh softly, trying to hide your amusement.
  1405.
1406. You softly say in Ilithic, "He would never drink it and if I informed him I had consumed any I would be rushed to the Healer..."
  1407.
1408. You take a sip of the ale.
  1409.
1410. Coryne says in Ilithic, "Yes of course, can't be drinking while you're pregnant."
  1411.
  1412. Coryne smirks.
  1413.
1414. You laugh softly, trying to hide your amusement.
  1415.
1416. Coryne says in Ilithic, "Feel free to guzzle it down. Pendus gave it to me- I believe he was trying to get me drunk and take advantage."
  1417.
1418. You softly say in Ilithic, "I feel bad laughing at such a horrible rumor it is just... so ridiculous that it even came up..."
  1419.
  1420. You ponder.
  1421.
1422. You softly ask Coryne in Ilithic, "He would actually risk attempting such?"
  1423.
1424. Coryne asks in Ilithic, "Pendus?"
  1425.
1426. You give a slight nod.
  1427.
  1428. Coryne shrugs.
  1429.
1430. Coryne says in Ilithic, "I doubt it."
  1431.
1432. Coryne says in Ilithic, "He's a good man. As much as a human can be."
  1433.
1434. If you didn't know any better, you'd swear that the house rock was looking at you.
  1435.
1436. Your mind hears Xelten thinking, "<to you>" Where is Coryne's home?
  1437.
1438. You give a slight nod.
  1439.
1440. Coryne says in Ilithic, "Even if he did date Skilair."
  1441.
1442. You softly say in Ilithic, "I do not know him very well..."
  1443.
  1444. You fidget nervously.
  1445.
1446. You quietly say in Ilithic, "He is asking me where your home is...."
  1447.
1448. Coryne says in Ilithic, "Perhaps it's time to meet him."
  1449.
1450. You quietly say in Ilithic, "Perhaps I should go before he breaks down every door in Ilithi."
  1451.
  1452. You nod to Coryne.
  1453.
1454. Coryne asks in Ilithic, "Do you still have the ring I gave you?"
  1455.
1456. You give a slight nod.
  1457.
  1458. Coryne smiles.
  1459.
1460. Coryne says in Ilithic, "Good."
  1461.
1462. Coryne says in Ilithic, "Keep it close."
  1463.
1464. You hear your mental voice echo, to Xelten Do not worry yourself on it. I am on my way out now.
1465. You project your thoughts to Xelten.
  1466.
  1467. You nod to Coryne.
  1468.
1469. You softly say in Ilithic, "I will be sure to."
  1470.
1471. Coryne hugs you, and you wrap your arms around her with a warm smile.
  1472.
1473. Coryne says in Ilithic, "Everything will be fine."
  1474.
1475. Coryne chants a few words in a low voice.
1476. A glowing series of raesh-style Tokka cards appear and arrange themselves in an esoteric pattern.
  1477.
1478. You hug Coryne. A faint scent of belladonna clings to her skin.
  1479.
  1480. Coryne smiles.
  1481.
1482. Coryne says in Ilithic, "Nimble Dancer."
  1483.
  1484. Coryne winks at you.
  1485.
1486. Coryne says in Ilithic, "It's even in the cards."
  1487.
1488. You softly say in Ilithic, "Thank you again for everything..."
  1489.
  1490. You ponder.
  1491.
1492. You softly ask in Ilithic, "Nimble dancer?"
  1493.
1494. You peer quizzically at Coryne.
  1495.
  1496. Coryne nods to you.
  1497.
1498. You softly say in Ilithic, "I unfortunately am not sure what that means."
  1499.
1500. You blush slightly, the tips of your ears flushing with warmth.
  1501.
  1502. Coryne chuckles.
  1503.
1504. Coryne says in Ilithic, "It is the Tokka card that appeared before me."
  1505.
1506. You see Fateweaver Coryne, Numinist of Ilithi, an Elf.
1507. Coryne has an angular face with an elegant arched eyebrows, slightly pointed ears, thick-lashed dark eyes and a pointy nose. Her black hair is long and wavy, and is worn in a tousled mass of locks that tumbles over her shoulders. She has pale skin and a lissome figure.
1508. She is short for a Elf.
  1509.
1510. She is adult for an Elf.
1511. She is in good shape.
  1512.
1513. She is wearing a platinum kyanite gwethdesuan, a platinum jadeite gwethdesuan, a triple-stranded choker of midnight black pearls clasped with a platinum dragon, a deeply-hooded nightsilk longcoat embroidered with climbing belladonna, a perfect lotus flower captured in full bloom, an elegant long-stemmed purple rose adorned with platinum-tipped thorns, a deep black azurite nose-ring, a sturdy traveler's haversack, some dark fitted armor of lavishly embossed leather, a twisted cambrinth armband, a heavy animite wristcuff clasped with a delicate slide pin joint, a slender wristlet of translucent white roses, some black scale gauntlets with ornamental silvered talons extending from the fingertips, a dragon's blood crystal engagement ring with a smooth gold inlay, an albredine crystal ring, a shining white albredine ring, a sinuous gold hip-chain dangling hundreds of tiny dragon's blood crystals, a diaphanous white silk belt edged with gold threads, a small black leather bullwhip with a gem-encrusted handle, a gold-trimmed black spidersilk pouch and some high-heeled slouched leather boots.
  1514.
1515. You softly ask in Ilithic, "What does the card mean?"
  1516.
  1517. You gaze at Coryne.
  1518.
1519. You begin to wonder if the house rock wasn't sitting in another spot a few moments ago.
  1520.
1521. Coryne says in Ilithic, "Well."
  1522.
1523. Coryne asks in Ilithic, "When you think of someone who dances, it can either be with creatures or on a dance floor right?"
  1524.
1525. You give a slight nod.
  1526.
1527. Coryne says in Ilithic, "Either way, being nimble allows the dancer to be in their own rhythm."
  1528.
1529. Coryne says in Ilithic, "If you are dancing with creatures, or against a dangerous opponent, you can evade quickly."
  1530.
1531. Coryne says in Ilithic, "You are graceful, but powerful."
  1532.
  1533. You smile.
  1534.
1535. The house rock quietly sparkles in the light.
  1536.
1537. Coryne says in Ilithic, "You have the spirit of the Nimble Dancer in your cards Ayrell."
  1538.
1539. Coryne gets off the chair on which she was sitting.
  1540.
  1541. You smile at Coryne.
  1542.
1543. You get off the chair.
  1544.
1545. You softly say in Ilithic, "I have always had an interest in the cards, but sadly never learned much of them."
  1546.
  1547. Coryne smiles.
  1548.
1549. Coryne says in Ilithic, "When I get a full deck perhaps we can experiment with them."
  1550.
1551. You give a slight nod.
  1552.
1553. You softly say in Ilithic, "I would like that."
  1554.
  1555. You smile at Coryne.
  1556.
1557. Coryne says in Ilithic, "Keep your chin up. Stay light on your feet."
  1558.
1559. Coryne says in Ilithic, "Don't let him drag you down."
  1560.
1561. You softly say in Ilithic, "I will do my best. If all works out, it will be over soon."
  1562.
  1563. You smile slightly.
  1564.
  1565. Coryne nods to you.
  1566.
1567. Coryne says in Ilithic, "It will."
  1568.
  1569. Coryne unlocks the door.
  1570.
1571. Coryne asks in Ilithic, "Ready?"
  1572.
1573. You give a slight nod.
  1574.
1575. Coryne hugs you, and you wrap your arms around her with a warm smile.
  1576.
1577. You hug Coryne. A faint scent of belladonna clings to her skin.
  1578.
1579. You softly say in Ilithic, "Safe paths to you."
  1580.
  1581. You smile at Coryne.
  1582.
1583. Coryne says in Ilithic, "Good Fortune to you."
  1584.
  1585. Coryne opens the door.
  1586.
  1587. You smile.
  1588.
  1589. You wave.
  1590.
1591. Coryne flashes a quick grin.
  1592.
1593. You walk through the door.
  1594. [Shard, Diamond Street]
1595. You also see an elegant black marble manor with a dragon-shaped cast iron lantern mounted by its entrance, a black marble manor with a carved ivory fountain shaped like a pair of young children leaning back to back, an ivory white quartz block manor with a huge marble fountain spouting crystal clear water, and a granite block manor with a weeping willow dangling over the roof.
  1596. Obvious paths: north.
  1597.
1598. You put your ale in your purple backpack.
  1599.
1600. You close your purple backpack.
  1601.
  1602. (TRAVEL)
  1603.
  1604.
  1605. [Milene's Rose, Tavern]
1606. Roomy and rectangular, the tavern for Milene's Rose is always busy, but strangely never so full that it becomes unbearably crowded. A booth in the corner allows for privacy, and a bar offers service for the thirsty and the hungry. There is little sign of disarray anywhere. You also see the publican.
1607. Also in the room: Mage Xelten who is sitting.
  1608. Obvious exits: east.
  1609.
1610. Xelten searches around for a moment.
  1611.
  1612. You smile slightly.
  1613.
  1614. Xelten gazes at you.
  1615.
1616. You softly say in Ilithic, "Sorry I am late..."
  1617.
1618. Xelten says, "I was rather worried."
  1619.
1620. Xelten rises to his feet fluidly, like a large, graceful cat.
  1621.
1622. The circle of obsidian on Xelten's forehead dims, causing his eyes to become briefly opaque and unreadable.
  1623.
1624. Xelten searches around for a moment.
  1625.
1626. Xelten asks in Ilithic, "What did she want?"
  1627.
1628. You softly say in Ilithic, "I am fine, just as I promised."
  1629.
  1630. You gaze at Xelten.
  1631.
1632. You softly ask in Ilithic, "What makes you think she wanted something?"
  1633.
1634. Xelten says in Ilithic, "She asked for a private meeting with you."
  1635.
1636. Xelten says in Ilithic, "Clearly it had a purpose."
  1637.
1638. Xelten searches around for a moment.
  1639.
1640. You softly say in Ilithic, "Yes, and... that is the purpose of private meetings."
  1641.
1642. Xelten tilts his head back.
  1643.
1644. Xelten asks in Ilithic, "Very well. Where is her home located?"
  1645.
1646. You softly ask in Ilithic, "Why do you wish to know?"
  1647.
1648. You peer quizzically at Xelten.
  1649.
1650. Xelten says in Ilithic, "Because I wish to know if it is also Taleek's home."
  1651.
1652. Xelten asks in Ilithic, "Was that where you went?"
  1653.
1654. You quietly ask in Ilithic, "Why does it matter?"
  1655.
1656. Xelten says in Ilithic, "Because we had an agreement that you would not see or speak to him. Going to his home is far more severe than that."
  1657.
1658. Xelten says in Ilithic, "The fact that you are refusing to tell me what happened or where you went leaves me rather suspicious, given who you were with."
  1659.
  1660. You gaze at Xelten.
  1661.
1662. You quietly ask in Ilithic, "What do you think I did?"
  1663.
1664. You quietly say in Ilithic, "We simply talked."
  1665.
1666. Xelten asks in Ilithic, "Was Taleek there?"
  1667.
1668. You nibble your lip thoughtfully.
  1669.
1670. Your red ruby on your forehead dims drastically for a moment.
  1671.
1672. You quietly say in Ilithic, "No."
  1673.
  1674. Xelten raises an eyebrow.
  1675.
1676. Xelten asks in Ilithic, "Then were you at his home?"
  1677.
1678. You look at Xelten and sigh.
  1679.
1680. You quietly say in Ilithic, "Fine... yes, we were at his home."
  1681.
  1682. You shake your head.
  1683.
1684. Xelten folds his arms across his chest.
  1685.
1686. Xelten asks in Ilithic, "Why would you go to his home?"
  1687.
1688. You quietly say in Ilithic, "Because Coryne wished to speak with me, and that is her home as well. If you require to know what happened, she is nearby. You could speak to her."
  1689.
1690. Xelten says in Ilithic, "You could have asked her to go to our home instead."
  1691.
1692. You quietly say in Ilithic, "She will tell you what was discussed. I would even go with you."
  1693.
1694. You quietly say in Ilithic, "She is the one that called the meeting. I merely went where she asked me to go."
  1695.
  1696. You gaze at Xelten.
  1697.
1698. Xelten says in Ilithic, "I would -expect- you to insist that it happen elsewhere."
  1699.
  1700. You arch your eyebrow.
  1701.
1702. You softly say in Ilithic, "Coryne has done nothing wrong, and as Taleek was not present, I did not feel it was such an issue."
  1703.
  1704. You sigh.
  1705.
1706. Xelten asks in Ilithic, "Regardless, I did not ask her what was discussed, I asked you. Should I assume it was entirely irrelevant if you are not telling me, or is there some other reason you will not say?"
  1707.
1708. Xelten searches around for a moment.
  1709.
1710. You quietly ask in Ilithic, "What other reason would there be?"
  1711.
1712. You peer quizzically at Xelten.
  1713.
1714. Xelten says in Ilithic, "You tell me."
  1715.
  1716. You gaze at Xelten.
  1717.
1718. Xelten seems to be waiting for something.
  1719.
1720. The circle of obsidian on Xelten's forehead dims, causing his eyes to become briefly opaque and unreadable.
  1721.
1722. You quietly ask in Ilithic, "If I refuse to say, what will you believe happened?"
  1723.
1724. You stare deeply into Xelten's eyes.
  1725.
1726. Xelten says in Ilithic, "That her intent was to conspire against me."
  1727.
1728. Xelten asks in Ilithic, "Why would you refuse to say?"
  1729.
1730. You quietly ask in Ilithic, "Why do I need to tell you what was discussed in a private meeting?"
  1731.
1732. Xelten says in Ilithic, "Because of who it was."
  1733.
1734. Xelten says in Ilithic, "I'd grant you the same courtesy."
  1735.
1736. You quietly say in Ilithic, "Well, I can assure you that I am at least, in fact, -not- having her child."
  1737.
1738. You softly say in Ilithic, "Fine. The Eye is disbanding."
  1739.
  1740. You shrug.
  1741.
1742. Xelten asks in Ilithic, "That is what you spoke of for three anlaen?"
  1743.
1744. You give a slight nod.
  1745.
1746. Xelten peers quizzically at you.
  1747.
1748. You softly ask in Ilithic, "What?"
  1749.
1750. You peer quizzically at Xelten.
  1751.
1752. Xelten says in Ilithic, "I've trouble believing it on two counts."
  1753.
1754. You softly ask in Ilithic, "And those are?"
  1755.
1756. Xelten says in Ilithic, "First that the Eye is disbanding, second that you spoke of it for three anlaen. Additionally, the comment of having her child was entirely uncalled for."
  1757.
  1758. You arch your eyebrow.
  1759.
1760. Xelten says in Ilithic, "Clearly the entire situation at present means far less to you than it does to me."
  1761.
1762. You softly ask in Ilithic, "I beg your pardon?"
  1763.
1764. Your red ruby on your forehead glows hotly.
  1765.
1766. Xelten says in Ilithic, "I cannot believe that you would go into his home, and then attempt to cover up doing so."
  1767.
  1768. You gaze at Xelten.
  1769.
1770. Xelten says in Ilithic, "Do I think you are having an affair? Absolutely not. That is not an issue. However, I am beginning to wonder if there is some other dark purpose."
  1771.
1772. Xelten asks in Ilithic, "What are those two saying to you?"
  1773.
1774. You softly ask in Ilithic, "Dark purpose?"
  1775.
1776. You softly say in Ilithic, "You are confusing me now."
  1777.
1778. Xelten says in Ilithic, "And you are confusing me in being anything but open with your husband."
  1779.
1780. Xelten searches around for a moment.
  1781.
1782. You softly say in Ilithic, "For starters... Coryne was the only one there. So those "two" are not saying anything to me."
  1783.
  1784. You sigh.
  1785.
1786. Xelten asks in Ilithic, "Why did she require you to be alone? Why were you hesitant to tell me what you were talking about if that's all it was?"
  1787.
1788. You babble unintelligibly for a while.
  1789.
1790. You softly say in Ilithic, "My head hurts..."
  1791.
  1792. You rub your head.
  1793.
1794. Xelten says in Ilithic, "I require answers."
  1795.
1796. Xelten searches around for a moment.
  1797.
1798. Xelten sheathes his steel iltesh.
  1799.
  1800. You gaze at Xelten.
  1801.
1802. Xelten seems to be waiting for something.
  1803.
1804. Deep shadows gather under Xelten's eyes and around his face, giving him a menacing appearance.
  1805.
1806. You softly say in Ilithic, "She required me to be alone because she wished to speak with me privately. I was hesitant to tell you because, as is the case, you would not believe what I told you anyway."
  1807.
  1808. You sigh.
  1809.
1810. Xelten says in Ilithic, "Of course I would not believe it after you were hesitant to say it and then that was all it was."
  1811.
1812. You softly say in Ilithic, "Perhaps I was hesitant because I was trying to convince myself that I did not have to answer to anyone."
  1813.
1814. Xelten says in Ilithic, "And especially after you outright defied our agreement and went to his -home-."
  1815.
1816. Xelten asks in Ilithic, "You feel that I am demanding too much of you then?"
  1817.
1818. You softly say in Ilithic, "Perhaps we need to write this agreement down, because I do not remember the home being mentioned. I thought that I was merely not allowed to be in his presence, which I was not."
  1819.
  1820. You sigh.
  1821.
1822. You gaze down at the floor.
  1823.
1824. Xelten says in Ilithic, "It seems rather obvious to me, Ayrell."
  1825.
1826. You softly say in Ilithic, "I am sorry, Xelten. It will never happen again."
  1827.
1828. You nibble your lip thoughtfully.
  1829.
1830. Xelten says in Ilithic, "There should be no need to pen an agreement."
  1831.
1832. Xelten says in Ilithic, "Perhaps your heart was not in it, however."
  1833.
1834. Xelten asks in Ilithic, "Is that the case?"
  1835.
1836. You softly ask in Ilithic, "My heart was not in what?"
  1837.
1838. You peer quizzically at Xelten.
  1839.
1840. Xelten says in Ilithic, "In the words that Taleek would no longer be an acquaintance of our family."
  1841.
1842. You softly ask in Ilithic, "How did this become a family thing? I was under the impression that he was to merely not be an acquaintance of mine?"
  1843.
  1844. You gaze at Xelten.
  1845.
1846. Your red ruby on your forehead dims drastically for a moment.
  1847.
1848. Xelten stares deeply into your eyes.
  1849.
1850. Xelten asks in Ilithic, "I ask, do you have any idea why I am so upset? Do you understand at all?"
  1851.
1852. You softly ask in Ilithic, "Do you understand at all why I am upset?"
  1853.
1854. You peer quizzically at Xelten.
  1855.
1856. Xelten says in Ilithic, "Apparently not, though you seem rather hesitant to tell me anything anymore."
  1857.
1858. You softly say in Ilithic, "Do share then. Tell me why you are upset so that I can understand."
  1859.
1860. Xelten says in Ilithic, "Coryne and Taleek very clearly aligned themselves against me."
  1861.
1862. Xelten says in Ilithic, "To continue to associate with them on any friendly basis is practically doing the same."
  1863.
1864. Xelten says in Ilithic, "Especially now if the Eye really has disbanded, you no longer are forced to communicate with Coryne."
  1865.
1866. Xelten says in Ilithic, "I cannot believe that after all that has happened, you would still -want- to be anywhere near Taleek or his home."
  1867.
1868. You softly ask in Ilithic, "So... I am not to be near Coryne either?"
  1869.
1870. Xelten asks in Ilithic, "What, do you actually wish to be?"
  1871.
  1872. You gaze at Xelten.
  1873.
1874. You softly say in Ilithic, "Xelten, the Eye has not disbanded."
  1875.
  1876. You sigh.
  1877.
1878. Xelten asks in Ilithic, "So you lied to me?"
  1879.
1880. (Ayrell throws her arms up in defeat.)
  1881.
1882. You softly say in Ilithic, "Did it matter? You did not believe me anyway."
  1883.
1884. Xelten says in Ilithic, "You fabricated something as well as lying about what you really discussed."
  1885.
1886. Xelten says in Ilithic, "Yes, that matters a lot."
  1887.
1888. Xelten says in Ilithic, "To my knowledge, you've never outright lied to me until now."
  1889.
1890. Xelten asks in Ilithic, "Do I need to say how painful a concept this is?"
  1891.
1892. A shadow spreads across Xelten's face from his circle of obsidian, briefly conquering the light before all returns to normal.
  1893.
1894. You gaze silently at Xelten.
  1895.
1896. Xelten shows you a platinum wedding band set with dozens of tiny sapphires. Sapphires of every shade of blue dot the band, blending together to form the illusion of light on the water.
  1897.
  1898. You grimace.
  1899.
1900. You gaze down at the floor.
  1901.
1902. Xelten says in Ilithic, "These rings we wear should represent that there will be no lies between us."
  1903.
1904. Xelten says in Ilithic, "They should represent that you will be open and forthcoming on all things just as I would be to you."
  1905.
1906. Xelten says in Ilithic, "They should represent that you will be concerned with my concerns just as I am with yours."
  1907.
1908. Xelten asks in Ilithic, "What, then, did you really discuss with her?"
  1909.
1910. Xelten says in Ilithic, "Not that I am sure I can believe anything else you say now. I rather expect at this point that Taleek -was- there."
  1911.
1912. You gaze sadly at Xelten.
  1913.
1914. You begin to weep softly.
  1915.
  1916. Xelten gazes at you.
  1917.
  1918. You cover your eyes.
  1919.
  1920. Xelten frowns.
  1921.
1922. Xelten's shoulders bow as if under some great burden.
  1923.
1924. Xelten sternly says in Ilithic, "Answer me, Ayrell."
  1925.
1926. You sadly ask in Ilithic, "I did not tell you because I knew that no matter what I said you would be upset with me. How am I supposed to know what I can say and cannot say that will not upset you even when you are not around?"
  1927.
1928. Xelten says in Ilithic, "The truth is always less painful than a lie, Ayrell."
  1929.
1930. Your red ruby on your forehead glows hotly.
  1931.
1932. You sadly say in Ilithic, "I have to monitor my discussions with my own friends... and monitor my own friends..."
  1933.
1934. You sadly say in Ilithic, "And if I tell them something in confidence I am then met with questions from you."
  1935.
1936. Xelten asks in Ilithic, "What did you say that you cannot tell me?"
  1937.
1938. Xelten says in Ilithic, "I wish the truth."
  1939.
1940. You sadly say in Ilithic, "I did not technically lie to you. She and I did discuss the concept of the Eye disbanding, however, it has not as of yet."
  1941.
  1942. You sob.
  1943.
1944. Xelten asks in Ilithic, "What else?"
  1945.
1946. You sadly say in Ilithic, "We discussed what happened at the Noose...."
  1947.
1948. You gaze down at the floor.
  1949.
1950. Xelten asks in Ilithic, "And?"
  1951.
1952. You break down and bawl your eyes out, tears flying everywhere.
  1953.
1954. Xelten firmly asks in Ilithic, "And?"
  1955.
1956. You kneel down upon the ground.
  1957.
1958. You gaze down at the floor.
  1959.
  1960. You sob.
  1961.
1962. Xelten says in Ilithic, "Tell me, Ayrell."
  1963.
1964. Xelten kneels down before you.
  1965.
  1966. Xelten gazes at you.
  1967.
1968. Xelten searches around for a moment.
  1969.
  1970. You flinch.
  1971.
1972. Xelten seems to be waiting for something.
  1973.
1974. Xelten is looking at you very closely.
  1975.
1976. A shadow spreads across Xelten's face from his circle of obsidian, briefly conquering the light before all returns to normal.
  1977.
1978. You sadly exclaim in Ilithic, "Do you not feel that such an incident could take such a lengthy amount of time to discuss?!"
  1979.
1980. You gaze sadly at Xelten.
  1981.
1982. Xelten says in Ilithic, "I am asking what about it you discussed."
  1983.
1984. Xelten says in Ilithic, "What conclusions were drawn."
  1985.
1986. Xelten says in Ilithic, "What your opinion of it is."
  1987.
1988. You sadly say in Ilithic, "There are no conclusions. No one has any conclusion."
  1989.
1990. You sadly say in Ilithic, "No one knows anything."
  1991.
  1992. You shake your head.
  1993.
1994. You sadly ask in Ilithic, "Are you satisfied?"
  1995.
1996. Xelten says in Ilithic, "No."
  1997.
1998. Xelten asks in Ilithic, "Why did you lie to me?"
  1999.
2000. You feel a bit weak in the knees and find yourself wobbling.
  2001.
2002. Xelten rises to his feet fluidly, like a large, graceful cat.
  2003.
2004. You sadly say in Ilithic, "Because I knew you would be angry...."
  2005.
2006. You gaze down at the floor.
  2007.
2008. You sadly say in Ilithic, "I was... frightened..."
  2009.
2010. A tear runs down your face.
  2011.
2012. Xelten says in Ilithic, "I am more angry that I was lied to. I do not appreciate such. Of all the people on Elanthia, there was only -one- person that I always knew I could trust absolutely no matter what."
  2013.
2014. Xelten says in Ilithic, "That was you, Ayrell. And that is the only quality I truly require of my wife."
  2015.
2016. You quietly ask in Ilithic, "Is it?"
  2017.
2018. Xelten says in Ilithic, "Will I ever have that faith in you again? Or will you continue to make me suspicious by keeping things from me."
  2019.
2020. You gaze at Xelten in amazement.
  2021.
2022. Your red ruby on your forehead flares brightly.
  2023.
2024. You quietly ask in Ilithic, "So... I stretch the truth a little and you lose all your faith in me... you involve yourself with another woman and I forgive you and accept you and continue to love you... How is that fair?"
  2025.
2026. Xelten stares deeply into your eyes.
  2027.
2028. Xelten quietly says in Ilithic, "Make no mistake. There is nothing that will ever make me stop loving you."
  2029.
2030. You softly ask in Ilithic, "But trusting me? It was that easy to stop?"
  2031.
2032. Xelten says in Ilithic, "I am very upset, Ayrell. You are making it difficult for me to trust you."
  2033.
2034. Xelten says in Ilithic, "I wish to return to the times where I never had any reason to think that you would not tell me everything."
  2035.
2036. Xelten asks in Ilithic, "Am I wrong to think that I am the one who should know your secrets, not someone else?"
  2037.
2038. You weakly say in Ilithic, "No one knows my secrets..."
  2039.
2040. Xelten quietly says in Ilithic, "I should."
  2041.
2042. You weakly say in Ilithic, "They are mine, and mine alone... to tell when I see fit."
  2043.
  2044. You sob.
  2045.
  2046. You sniffle.
  2047.
2048. Xelten says in Ilithic, "Perhaps I've not been the perfect husband."
  2049.
2050. Tiny shadows slowly crawl out from Xelten's circle of obsidian like burrowing worms. As the shadows reach his eyes they turn completely black. After a brief pause, the shadows vanish, returning the eyes to normal.
  2051.
2052. Xelten says in Ilithic, "I do the best that I can and depend upon you to help me be better than that."
  2053.
2054. You weakly ask in Ilithic, "Did it ever occur to you that I grow tired?"
  2055.
  2056. Xelten shifts his weight.
  2057.
2058. Xelten quietly asks in Ilithic, "Do you wish to continue being my wife then, Ayrell Liaryl Evyntine Tyrsin?"
  2059.
2060. You quietly say in Ilithic, "I wish... to disappear."
  2061.
2062. Xelten gazes silently at you.
  2063.
2064. Xelten quietly asks in Ilithic, "You would rather Fade than consider that question?"
  2065.
2066. You quietly ask in Ilithic, "When all of this is said and done, and the rumors have flown and all my friends are chased away due to the stories and rumors involving them or the the one I am not allowed to see... you tell me what there is left for me here?"
  2067.
2068. Xelten quietly says in Ilithic, "I, who is the cause of those things."
  2069.
2070. Xelten quietly says in Ilithic, "There is the chance that things will get better."
  2071.
2072. You give a slight nod.
  2073.
2074. You quietly say in Ilithic, "There is that, I suppose."
  2075.
2076. Xelten quietly says in Ilithic, "Fading is not a choice. Living has choices, however. You could live with me and hope for things to improve. You could live with all of the others instead."
  2077.
2078. You quietly ask in Ilithic, "Are you giving me a choice?"
  2079.
2080. You gaze silently at Xelten.
  2081.
2082. Xelten quietly says in Ilithic, "Let me tell you what I would like."
  2083.
2084. Xelten kneels down before you.
  2085.
2086. (Xelten rests his hand on your neck.)
  2087.
  2088. You flinch.
  2089.
  2090. You gaze at Xelten.
  2091.
2092. A shadow spreads across Xelten's face from his circle of obsidian, briefly conquering the light before all returns to normal.
  2093.
2094. Xelten quietly says to you in Ilithic, "I would like for us to return to how we once were, and even closer than that. I would like for our love to never faulter, for our faith to never faulter, and for us to be happy together. I would like for us to be able to improve things together, and with those around us. Together."
  2095.
2096. (Xelten slowly withdraws his hand.)
  2097.
2098. You quietly ask in Ilithic, "Tell me how that is possible now?"
  2099.
2100. Xelten quietly says in Ilithic, "By trying."
  2101.
2102. Xelten rises to his feet fluidly, like a large, graceful cat.
  2103.
2104. You quietly ask in Ilithic, "What do you think I have been doing all this time?"
  2105.
2106. Xelten quietly says in Ilithic, "We could try harder."
  2107.
2108. You quietly say in Ilithic, "I do not know how much more "try" I have left in me."
  2109.
2110. (Xelten takes a step back and faces the other direction.)
  2111.
2112. Xelten gazes down at the floor.
  2113.
2114. Xelten quietly says in Ilithic, "The other option is to be without me. To lose all the burdens that have come as a result of being with me."
  2115.
  2116. (Xelten stands perfectly still.)
  2117.
2118. Your red ruby on your forehead dims, then brightens. A dark gold pattern swirls briefly within the gem before fading.
  2119.
2120. You gaze down at the floor.
  2121.
2122. Xelten gazes off into the distance.
  2123.
2124. You quietly say in Ilithic, "More and more I feel it, every day, as if you are attempted to push everything else I have away so that I will have only you... and therefore no one else to turn to... no where else to go..."
  2125.
2126. You quietly say in Ilithic, "Please.... let me have something else... "
  2127.
2128. Xelten quietly says in Ilithic, "I do not wish for it to be like that. But perhaps it has become so."
  2129.
  2130. You rub your head.
  2131.
2132. You quietly say in Ilithic, "My head still hurts..."
  2133.
2134. Xelten quietly says in Ilithic, "It is entirely possible that I
2135. have become incapable of sharing you. That could very well be a subconscious director of my actions."
  2136.
2137. Xelten quietly says in Ilithic, "I do not know, however. The question remains, do we attempt to correct.. everything, or do we.. not."
  2138.
2139. You quietly say in Ilithic, "Now is not the time to discuss that."
  2140.
2141. You quietly say in Ilithic, "I need to clear my head first."
  2142.
2143. You quietly ask in Ilithic, "However... what would happen if we... did not? What would you do?"
  2144.
2145. The shadows surrounding the circle of obsidian on Xelten's forehead deepen, momentarily shrouding his face in darkness.
  2146.
2147. Xelten quietly says in Ilithic, "I would be as I was before."
  2148.
2149. Xelten quietly says in Ilithic, "I do not know how much it would hurt me to have a piece of my soul torn away, however."
  2150.
  2151. You gaze at Xelten.
  2152.
2153. Xelten quietly says in Ilithic, "If I survived, I would likely be as I was before you met me."
  2154.
2155. You quietly ask in Ilithic, "If you survived?"
  2156.
2157. Xelten quietly says in Ilithic, "As I said, I do not know how much it would hurt me."
  2158.
2159. Don't you get enough of that from your mother?
  2160.
2161. Xelten quietly says in Ilithic, "I may be able to recover quickly. It may take me a very long time. You mean more to me than you can ever realize."
  2162.
2163. Xelten quietly says in Ilithic, "That... however. That includes your happiness. With me or without."
  2164.
  2165. You stand back up.
  2166.
  2167. You sniffle.
  2168.
2169. You quietly say in Ilithic, "I cannot discuss this right now."
  2170.
2171. Your red ruby on your forehead flares brightly, sending warmth cascading down your arms before fading.
  2172.
2173. You feel fully balanced again.
  2174.
2175. Xelten gives a slight nod.
  2176.
2177. (Xelten turns to face you.)
  2178.
  2179. Xelten gazes at you.
  2180.
2181. Xelten quietly asks in Ilithic, "Would you like to be alone, then?"
  2182.
2183. You quietly say in Ilithic, "I do not know what I want."
  2184.
2185. Xelten comes and stands near you.
  2186.
2187. Xelten stares deeply into your eyes.
  2188.
  2189. You gaze at Xelten.
  2190.
2191. Xelten quietly says in Ilithic, "I do not know what you want either."
  2192.
2193. The circle of obsidian on Xelten's forehead flickers softly, causing shadows to fill his eyes.
  2194.
2195. Xelten quietly says in Ilithic, "I do, however, know what I want."
  2196.
2197. You quietly ask in Ilithic, "Which is?"
  2198.
2199. Xelten quietly says in Ilithic, "I want for you to want me."
  2200.
  2201. You gaze at Xelten.
  2202.
2203. You quietly say in Ilithic, "We shall see..."
  2204.
2205. Xelten quietly says in Ilithic, "I want for you to know what you want."
  2206.
2207. You quietly say in Ilithic, "That will take time, Xelten."
  2208.
2209. You quietly say in Ilithic, "I need to get my thoughts squared away."
  2210.
  2211. You sigh.
  2212.
2213. Xelten quietly says in Ilithic, "Then I shall go."
  2214.
2215. You quietly say in Ilithic, "If you wish."
  2216.
  2217. Xelten leans forward.
  2218.
2219. You quietly say in Ilithic, "I need to go for a walk."
  2220.
  2221. You gaze at Xelten.
  2222.
2223. Xelten gently kisses you on the cheek.
  2224.
  2225. You smile slightly.
  2226.
  2227. (Xelten does not smile.)
  2228.
2229. Your red ruby on your forehead glows hotly for a moment.
  2230.
2231. You gaze down at the floor.
  2232.
2233. (Xelten turns and walks away.)
  2234.
2235. Mage Xelten just went east.
