「こんなに早く他の世界へ行くことになるなんて
思ってなかったわ」
Yuki: I didn’t expect we’d be going to another world so soon.

韻子
「ホントですね。
この調子だと、あたし達も意外に早く帰れるかも…」
Inko: Right? At this rate, we might be going home sooner than we though...

万丈
「そう願いたいものだね。
さて、作戦前の腹ごしらえだ。何を食べようか」
Banjo: Let’s hope so. Now then, let’s have a pre-mission meal. What should we eat?

タクヤ
「ここの食堂、メニューが結構豊富なんですよ」
Takuya: The cafeteria here has a pretty solid menu, you know.

万丈
「ほう、お勧めは何だい?」
Banjo: Oh? Then what do you recommend?

(Akito approaches.)

アキト
「………」
Akito: ...

韻子
「あ…もしかして、食事ですか?」
Inko: Ah... Are you here to eat?

アキト
「………」
Akito: ...

韻子
「しょ、食堂に来たんなら、そうですよね。
あたし、何を聞いてんだか…」
Inko: Y-Yeah, you must be, if you came to the cafeteria. What am I saying...?

万丈
「ちょうど良かった。こっちへ来ないか?
この世界へ来てからバタバタしていて、
君とゆっくり話をする機会がなかったからね」
Banjo: Perfect timing. Why don’t you join us? With all the excitement after we came to this world, I haven’t had a chance to talk to you properly.

アキト
「…俺の過去を詮索する気なら、無駄だ」
Akito: ...If you’re going to ask about my past, then don’t bother.

ユキ
「でも、ヒイロとは何か話してたでしょう?」
Yuki: But you’ve been talking to Heero about stuff, haven’t you?

アキト
「必要最低限の情報を交換しただけだ」
Akito: We only exchange the bare minimum of necessary information.

万丈
「過去を探られたくない人間は君だけじゃないさ。
話したいのは、これからのことだ」
Banjo: You aren’t the only one that doesn’t want people prying into their past. I just want to talk about what’s to come.

アキト
「俺は、元の世界へ戻るまで
お前達と行動を共にする。
それ以外のことを話すつもりはない」
Akito: I will work alongside you until I am able to return to my original world. I have no intention of saying anything beyond that.

万丈
(やれやれ、取り付く島がないな)
Banjo: (Good grief, it’s like talking to a brick wall.)

万丈
「じゃ、食事だけでも一緒にどうだい?」
Banjo: Then how about just joining us for a meal?

タクヤ
「ここのお勧めはラーメンですよ」
Takuya: My personal recommendation is the ramen.

アキト
「………」
Akito: ...

韻子
「って言うか、宇宙戦艦の食堂にそんな物があるの?」
Inko: Wait, why would a military space ship’s cafeteria even have that?

タクヤ
「実はなかったんだけど、
甲児や豹馬達のリクエストで
メニューに加わったんだ」
Takuya: To tell the truth, it’s only on the menu because Koji and Hyoma’s gang all requested it be added.

韻子
「ふ~ん…じゃ、食べてみようっと。
アキトさんもどうです?」
Inko: Hmmm... Alright, let’s try it then. Akito, do you want some?

アキト
「………」
Akito: ...

(Akito leaves.)

タクヤ
「あ…」
Takuya: Uh...

韻子
「あたし、何か気に障ることを言っちゃった…?」
Inko: Did I say something to offend him...?

万丈
(あの拒絶感…
過去に余程のことがあったと見えるな)
Banjo: (This feeling of rejection... He must have gone through a great deal in his past.)

ミサト
「揃ったわね、みんな」
Misato: Everyone’s present and accounted for.

シンジ
「あの…ゲート突入作戦の説明ですよね。
どうして僕らエヴァのパイロットだけなんです?」
Shinji: Um... This is the strategy meeting for the Gate penetration operation, right? Why are just the EVA pilots here?

ミサト
「それは、あなた達が作戦の主役だからよ」
Misato: That’s because you guys are playing the lead roles.

アスカ
「望む所だわ。で、概要は?」
Asuka: That suits me just fine. So, what’s the plan?

ミサト
「神戸岩上空のゲートに無人偵察機を
何機か送り込んだけど、どれも帰還しなかったの。
おそらく、向こう側で捕獲か撃墜されたのよ」
Misato: We sent a couple of drones into the Gate over Kanoto Rock, but none of them came back. They were probably either captured or shot down.

アスカ
「つまり、ゲートの向こう側で
敵が待ち構えてるってわけね」
Asuka: Then in other words, there are enemies lying in wait on the other side of the Gate.

ミサト
「そう。私達は格好の的になる。
そこで、あなた達の出番よ」
Misato: Yep. Which means when we go through there, we’re gonna be a bunch of big fat targets. And that’s where you guys come in.

レイ
「具体的に何をすれば?」
Rei: What must we do specifically?

ミサト
「ゲートには各艦で突入することになったの。
そして、それぞれの艦首にあなた達のエヴァを
配置し、A.T.フィールドを展開…」
Misato: Every ship will be breaching the Gate. And when they do, we’ll have an EVA positioned on the bow of each one, with its A.T. Field deployed.

ミサト
「ゲート突破時に集中攻撃を受けた場合は、
それぞれの艦を守ってもらうわ」
Misato: That will keep each ship protected in case we get bombarded the second we break through the Gate.

シンジ
「それで大丈夫なんでしょうか…?」
Shinji: Will that really work...?

ミサト
「A.T.フィールドなら、想定される敵…
[AS]やモビルスーツの火力に耐えられるはずよ」
Misato: If the enemy are [AS] and Mobile Suits like we predicted... Then your A.T. Fields should be able to take it no problem.

アスカ
「エヴァなら、当然よね。任せてもらおうじゃない」
Asuka: Of course it’ll work, they’re EVAs. Just leave this to us.

ミサト
「最初に突入するのはアークエンジェル。
あのゲートが向こう側の世界のどこに
繋がっているか不明だけど…」
Misato: The first ship to break through will be the Archangel. We don’t know what’s on the other side of the Gate, but...

ミサト
「もし、地球連合軍の勢力圏内なら、
戦闘を避けられる可能性があるから」
Misato: If we happen to come out in Earth Alliance territory, we may be able to avoid having to fight entirely.

アスカ
「で、アークエンジェルの防御担当は?」
Asuka: So, who’s in charge of defending the Archangel?

ミサト
「シンジ君よ」
Misato: Shinji is.

シンジ
(僕が一番手…)
Shinji: (I’m going first...?)

ミサト
「次に突入するのはラー・カイラム。担当はアスカ。
続いて、イサリビ。担当はレイ。
最後は自前でシールドが展開できるオケアノスよ」
Misato: Next in line to break through is the Ra Cailumm with Asuka in charge of it. After that, the Isaribi, which Rei is in charge of. Lastly, the Oceanus, which can deploy its own shield.

アスカ
「何でこの私が一番手じゃないの?」
Asuka: Why aren’t I going first?

ミサト
「ラー・カイラムは旗艦よ。
それを守る意味は、言わなくてもわかるわね?」
Misato: The Ra Cailum is our flagship. You know how important protecting that is, right?

アスカ
「なるほど。
部隊の要の守りをエコヒイキやナナヒカリには
任せておけないってことね」
Asuka: Good point. We can’t leave protecting our force’s main ship to a commander’s pet or a daddy’s boy after all.

アスカ
「いいわ、引き受けてあげる」
Asuka: Fine, I’ll take care of it then.

ミサト
「シンジ君とレイも頼むわよ」
Misaot: Shinji, Rei, I’m counting on you too.

レイ
「はい」
Rei: Right.

シンジ
「…わかりました」
Shinji: ...I understand.

ミサト
「じゃ、あなた達二人は、
それぞれの担当艦に移動してちょうだい」
Misato: Alright, then let’s go ahead and move you two to your respective ships.


アークエンジェル食堂
Archangel – Mess Hall


クルツ
「ふう…終わった、終わった。
警戒任務も楽じゃないぜ」
Kurz: Phew... Thank God that’s over. Look out duty ain’t easy.

カレン
「ずっと軽口を叩いてたような気がするけど」
Kallen: But all you did was yammer on the whole time.

クルツ
「あれも仕事の内さ。場を和ませるためのな」
Kurz: That’s all part of the job. You know, so we aren’t stressed out the whole time.

かなめ
「みんな、お疲れ様。
飲み物を用意しておいたわ」
Kaname: Good work, everyone. I’ve got some drinks for you.

宗介
「ありがとう、千鳥」
Sousuke: Thanks, Chidori.

シンジ
「………」
Shinji: ...

かなめ
「あれ?
あなたもこの艦に乗ることになったの?」
Kaname: Oh? Are you staying on this ship now too?

シンジ
「僕の他にもいるんですか?」
Shinji: Too? I’m not the only one?

豹馬
「おう。俺達バトルチームは
このアークエンジェルの配属になったのさ」
Hyoma: Yep. Our Battle Team was assigned to the Archangel.

シンジ
(バトルチームって、この世界の人じゃ…)
Shinji: (But the Battle Team are people of this world...)

マオ
「あんた、ゲート突入作戦で
この艦を守ってくれるんでしょ?
よろしく頼むわよ」
Mao: You’ll be protecting the ship during the Gate penetration operation, right? Take care of us, okay?

シンジ
「は、はい…」
Shinji: R-Right...

ちずる
「盾扱いにするみたいで、ごめんね」
Chizuru: It feels like we’re using you as a shield. Sorry about that.

シンジ
「あ、いえ…そういう役目ですから」
Shinji: Oh, no... It’s what I’m here for.

かなめ
「あんまり無茶しないでね。
…って、パイロットじゃないあたしが
言っちゃ無責任か」
Kaname: Don’t be so hard on yourself. ...Actually, I guess it’s kind of irresponsible for someone that’s not a pilot to say that.

シンジ
「そんなこと…ありがとうございます」
Shinji: No, that’s... Thank you very much.

かなめ
「しかし…これでやっと、
あたし達の世界に帰れるのよね」
Kaname: Although... Now that I think about it, we’re really going back to our own world, huh?

ちずる
「ようやく安心?」
Chizuru: Finally feeling a sense of relief?

かなめ
「あ、ごめん…。
バトルチームはせっかく帰れたのに、
また別の世界へ行くことになるんだもんね」
Kaname: Oh, sorry... The Battle Team got to return home, only to end up going to a different world all over again.

ちずる
「いいのよ、自分達の意志で決めたことだし。
それに、気持ちはわかるわ」
Chizuru: It’s fine, we decided to do this ourselves. Besides, I know exactly how you feel.

かなめ
「そうね…
いきなりソースケ達の潜水艦に
乗せられた所から始まって…」
Kaname: Yeah... This all started when Sousuke and his friends suddenly put me onboard a submarine...

かなめ
「それから並行世界に跳ばされちゃったり、
他にも色んなことがあって大変だった分、
ようやく戻れることに安心してるんだと思う」
Kaname: After leaping through multiple parallel worlds and going through so many big events, it’s a huge load off my mind to finally be able to go back.

クルツ
「まあ、普通の女子高生が
体験するようなことじゃねえもんな」
Kurz: Yeah, this definitely isn’t what your normal high school girl experiences.

かなめ
「変な奴らに狙われてる人間が、
普通の女子高生かどうかは怪しいけど」
Kaname: And I guess a person being targeted by a bunch of weird guys isn’t much of a normal high school girl either.

宗介
「世界全体で言えば、
地球と宇宙に住む人間同士で戦争が続いている。
普通の定義が難しいところだ」
Sousuke: In our world at large, there is an ongoing war between humans living in space and humans living on Earth. It’s difficult to define what’s ‘normal’.

カレン
「かなめの世界は[ナチュラル]と[コーディネイター]に
分かれて、ずっと戦争してるのよね」
Kallen: Kaname’s world is split between [Naturals] and [Coordinators] that are constantly at war with each other.

かなめ
「あたしの住む日本は戦争の影響が少ない場所だから、
かなりマシな部類だけどね」
Kaname: But I live in Japan, where the war hasn’t affected much. It’s actually a pretty good place to live.

かなめ
「だからかな?
この豹馬君達の世界の日本に親近感が湧いたのは」
Kaname: Huh, you know, maybe that’s why the Japan in Hyoma’s world felt so natural to me.

大作
「そう言うてもらゆるんな嬉しか」
Daisaku: I’m glad to hear you say that.

十三
「まあ、ワイらの世界も
ろくでもない連中に狙われとるから、
平和とは言えへんけどな」
Juzo: Well it ain’t all sunshine and rainbows in our world. We got a buncha guys that come after us, you know.

カレン
「それでも国がちゃんとあって、
そこに人の意思があるなら充分過ぎるぐらいだよ」
Kallen: Still, if the country’s intact and the people keep their spirits, that’s more than enough.

豹馬
「カレンに言われると、説得力あるよな…」
Hyoma: It’s pretty convincing hearing that from Kallen...

カレン
「気にしなくていいよ。
日本人が日本人として暮らせる世界が見られて、
悪い気はしなかったから」
Kallen: Don’t worry about me. It doesn’t feel bad to see the Japanese living like the Japanese should.

カレン
(だから、早くあたしの世界に戻って、
ゼロと共に[ブリタニア]から日本を取り戻すんだ…)
Kallen: (It just reminds me how I need to get back to my own world, and take back Japan from [Britannia] alongside Zero.)

(Flay approaches.)

フレイ
「………」
Flay: ...

シンジ
「あの人は…」
Shinji: That girl...

クルツ
「おっ、フレイちゃんに目を付けたか?
残念だが、あの子はキラのガールフレンドだ。
それでもアタックするなら、止めはしないけどよ」
Kurz: Oh, did Flay catch your eye? Unfortunately, she’s Kira’s girlfriend. But hey, I ain’t gonna stop you if you still wanna make a move on her.

シンジ
「そ、そんなことしませんよ…!」
Shinji: I-I wouldn’t do something like that...!

かなめ
「フレイさん、一緒に食べない?」
Kaname: Do you want to eat with us, Flay?

フレイ
「遠慮するわ。
私とキラの食事を取りに来ただけだから」
Flay: No thanks. I’m just here to get food for me and Kira.

かなめ
「あ、そうなんだ。
だったら、運ぶのを手伝うわよ」
Kaname: Oh, I see. Then I can help you carry it.

フレイ
「必要ないわ」
Flay: You don’t need to do that.

かなめ
「二人分でしょ?
途中でこぼしたりしたら大変だわ。
はい、貸して」
Kaname: It’s food for two, right? We don’t want you spilling it along the way. Here, let me take that one.

フレイ
「ちょ、ちょっと…」
Flay: H-Hang on...

かなめ
「さあ、冷めない内に持って行きましょ」
Kaname: Come on, let’s take it before it gets cold.

フレイ
「だから…」
Flay: Like I said...

(Kaname and Flay leave.)

クルツ
「やれやれ、またカナメのお節介が出たな」
Kurz: Uh-oh, there goes Kaname meddling again.

シンジ
「千鳥さんって、結構強引なんですね…」
Shinji: Chidori is pretty pushy, huh...

マオ
「フレイは同じ民間人だし、気にかけてんのよ。
あの子、あんまり他の人とも話さないしね」
Mao: Flay is a civilian like her, so she’s probably worried. That girl doesn’t really talk to other people.

シンジ
「そうなんですか…」
Shinji: I see...

クルツ
「話さないって言えば、キラもそうだよな。
あいつ、自分の世界に戻れるってのに
全然嬉しそうにしてないし」
Kurz: Speaking of not talking to other people, Kira’s the same way. Hell, he doesn’t even seem happy to be going back to his own world.

豹馬
「何でだよ ?」
Hyoma: Why’s that?

マオ
「少し話したでしょ?
あたし達の世界はナチュラルとコーディネイターで
戦争してんの」
Mao: You remember what we said a little bit ago? Our world is in a war between Naturals and Coordinators.

マオ
「で、キラはコーディネイターでありながら、
アークエンジェルに乗ってナチュラル側で戦っていた。
またその戦いに巻き込まれたくないんでしょうよ」
Mao: Kira is a Coordinator, but he’s fighting on the Natural’s side aboard the Archangel. It’s no wonder why he doesn’t want to get involved in the fighting again.

かなめ
「さてと…ここがキラ君の部屋だっけ?」
Kaname: Alrighty then... This is Kira’s room, right?

フレイ
「ここまででいいわ」
Flay: Here’s far enough.

かなめ
「え?」
Kaname: Huh?

フレイ
「それじゃ」
Flay: Bye.

かなめ
「あのさ、フレ…」
Kaname: Uh, Flay...

(Flay leaves.)

かなめ
(はあ…食事を運んでいる間に
話しかけても無反応だったし…。
どうしたもんかしらね)
Kaname: (*sigh* ...She didn’t say anything the whole time we were carrying food... What the heck am I supposed to do about her?)

Archangel – Private Quarters


フレイ
「キラ、食事を持って来たわ」
Flay: Kira, I brought your food.

キラ
「ああ…ありがとう、フレイ」
Kira: Oh... Thanks, Flay.

フレイ
「ねえ、私達の世界へ帰れるのに、
あまり嬉しそうじゃないわね」
Flay: You know, you don’t look too happy to be going back to our world.

キラ
「…帰ったとしても、
連合と[プラント]の戦争に巻き込まれるに決まってる。
僕は、いつまで戦い続ければいいんだ…」
Kira: ...If we go back, I’ll just be caught in the war between the Alliance and the [PLANTs] again. How long will I have to keep fighting then...?

フレイ
「そんなの決まってるわ。パパの仇を討つまでよ」
Flay: You already made your choice. You’ll keep fighting until you avenge my father.

キラ
「………」
Kira: ...

フレイ
「帰ったら、約束を果たしてね」
Flay: You’ll fulfill your promise when we get back, right?

キラ
「わかってる…」
Kira: Yeah...

フレイ
「ありがとう…優しいキラ…」
Flay: Thank you... My sweet Kira...

Bright: Then let’s begin the operation.

Misato: Shinji, deploy your A.T. Field.

シンジ
「はい」
Shinji: Right.

ブライト
「アークエンジェルから、順次突入せよ!」
Bright: Archangel, lead the advance!

(Scene begins on the map screen of a forest with a river. Several GINN Mobile Suits are on the map. The Archangel appears in a flash of light.)

ノイマン
「本艦はゲートを通過しました!」
Neumann: Our ship has passed through the Gate!

マリュー
「現在位置は?」
Murrue: What’s our present location?

トノムラ
「アフリカ大陸のルワンダ北部です!」
Tonomura: The northern part of Rwanda, on the African Continent!

マリュー
「アフリカ…! [ザフト]の勢力圏内じゃない!」
Murrue: Africa...! Then we’re within [ZAFT]’s sphere of influence!

トノムラ
「周辺にザフトのモビルスーツを多数確認!」
Tonomura: We’ve confirmed a large number of ZAFT Mobile suits in the vicinity!

マリュー
「後続のために、私達が壁になるわよ!
シンジ君、引き続きお願いね!」
Murrue: We’ll be the shield for our allies behind us! Shinji, we’re relying on you!

シンジ
「はい!」
Shinji: Okay!

ザフト兵
「足付きだと!?
全機、あれは敵艦だ! 攻撃を開始しろ!」
ZAFT Soldier: The Legged One!? All units, that’s an enemy ship! Open fire!

(The ZAFT MS fire on the Archangel. Shinji’s A.T. Field blocks the attacks.)

シンジ
「くっ…!」
Shinji: Ngh...!

マリュー
「被弾箇所は…!?」
Murrue: Where were we hit...!?

ナタル
「ありません。エヴァ初号機が防御しました」
Natarle: Nowhere. EVA Unit-01 completely shielded us.

マリュー
「ありがとう、シンジ君。
その調子で頼むわよ」
Murrue: Thank you, Shinji. Keep up the good work.

シンジ
「はい」
Shinji: Right.

シンジ
(まるでミサトさんに指示されてるみたいだ…)
Shinji: (This feels just like when Misato gives me instructions...)

マリュー
「ミリアリア、地球連合本部とのコンタクトを試みて!」
Murrue: Miriallia, attempt to contact Earth Alliance HQ!

ミリアリア
「了解!」
Miriallia: Yes, ma’am!

(The remaining Londo Bell ships appear.)

ザフト兵
「奴らも足付きの仲間か! 攻撃しろ!」
ZAFT Soldier: Those are the Legged One’s allies! Fire!

(The ZAFT MS fire on the other ships.)

レイ
「防いでみせる…!」
Rei: Blocking...!

アスカ
「モビルスーツの攻撃なんて、効きはしないわよ!」
Asuka: Mobile Suit attacks are useless!

マリュー
「ブライト大佐、現在地はザフト勢力圏内です。
早急に脱出しなければなりません」
Murrue: Captain Bright, we’re presently within ZAFT territory. We should withdraw immediately.

ブライト
「了解した。最適なルートは?」
Bright: Understood. What’s the most optimal route?

マリュー
「敵包囲網を突破し、インド洋上に出るのがベストです」
Murrue: Our best bet is to break through the enemy encirclement and escape to the Indian Ocean.

ブライト
「では、そのルートで。
各機は直ちに出撃、各艦の脱出口を開け!」
Bright: Then that’s what we’ll do. All units, launch immediately! All ships, release escape hatches!

(The player’s team deploys.)

クルツ
「ま、予想通りの展開だな。
姐さん、デ・ダナンに連絡は?」
Kurz: Welp, this’s about what I expected. Wanna try contacting the Danaan, ma’am?

マオ
「あんたに言われるまでもなく、やっといたわよ」
Mao: I did that before you even said anything.

クルツ
「さすが。これで[ミスリル」が動いてくれるな」
Kurz: Atta girl. That should get [Mithril] to come running.

升慶
「各機へ! 現戦域からの離脱が最優先だ!
敵を深追いするなよ!」
Benkei: Attention all units! Our top priority is to withdraw! Don’t chase the enemies too far!

(Battle 1 begins.)

(Battle 1 ends when all enemies are defeated.)

日吉
「ふう、どうなることかと思ったけど…」
Hiyoshi: I wasn’t sure what to expect, but sheesh...

健一
「気を抜くのは早いぞ、日吉。
まだ敵の勢力圏から出たわけじゃない」
Kenichi: Don’t let your guard down so soon, Hiyoshi. We aren’t out of the enemy’s territory yet.

マオ
「ウルズ2よりラー・カイラムへ。
ブライト艦長、デ・ダナンから連絡がありました。
こちらと合流するため、現在インド洋を潜航中…」
Mao: Uruz 2 to Ra Cailum. We’ve just gotten word from the Danaan, Captain Bright. They’re moving to join up with us in the Indian Ocean now...

マオ
「合流ポイントを指定するので、
そこまで来て欲しいとのことです」
Mao: They want us to head to a rendezvous point they’ve designated.

ブライト
「了解した」
Bright: Understood.

トノムラ
「ザフトのジンが多数接近中!」
Tonomura: Multiple ZAFT Suits approaching!

マリュー
「まだ距離があるわね。今の内に離脱すべきだわ」
Murrue: We’ve still got some distance between us. We should withdraw now.

ブライト
「各機は直ちに帰投せよ!
収容が終わり次第、現戦域から離脱する!」
Bright: All units, return to the ship at once! We leave as soon as recovery is complete!

「敵部隊、後退していきます」
Torres: Enemy forces are retreating.

弁慶
「何とか振り切れたか…」
Benkei: Guess we shook ‘em off...

アムロ
「こちらがインド洋上に出たことで、
敵は追撃を諦めたようだな」
Amuro: Looks like the enemy is giving up the chase now that we’re over the Indian Ocean.

ミサト
「ええ。
…機乗待機、お疲れ様でした」
Misato: Seems so. ...But thanks for keeping your units on standby.

アムロ
「戦闘が続くのも疲れるが、
長時間の待機もこたえるよ」
Amuro: Fighting back-to-back is exhausting, but so is being kept on standby for hours on end.

弁慶
「歳だな、大尉」
Benkei: You’re just getting too old, Lieutenant.

アムロ
「お互い様ですよ。
それで、デ・ダナンからの続報は?」
Amuro: That goes for you too, you know. So, have we heard anything from the Danaan?

弁慶
「いや、まだだ」
Benkei: No, not yet.

Bright: Understood. Connect her, Torres. Put the video feed up for the other ships as well.

Torres: Roger.

Tessa: I am Teletha Testarossa, captain of the Assault Landing Submarine Tuatha de Danaan, of Mithril’s Western Pacific Ocean Squadron.

Tessa: I am also the commander of the Western Pacific Ocean Squadron. It’s a pleasure to meet you all, though I am already familiar with Captain Murrue Ramius.

Orga: [Tekkadan] Leader, Orga Itsuka. You’re pretty young to be a captain.

「初めて会う方には、よくそう思われます」
Tessa: Most people think that on our first meeting.

Tessa: Now then... I’ve been briefed about all of you by Master Sergeant Melissa.

Tessa: I have some important information I’d like to share with you. But let’s begin by hearing what you may want to know first.

「ガウルンという男がゲートを通過したのだが、
彼を雇った人物について思い当たることは?」
Bright: Can you think of anyone who would employ a man named Gauron to come through the Gate?

テッサ
「皆さんが通ったゲート周辺地域は
ザフトによって封鎖されていましたから…」
Tessa: Since the Gate you all came through was blockaded by ZAFT...

テッサ
「ASに搭乗したガウルンとその部下達が、
彼らに気づかれず通過したとは考えにくいです」
Tessa: It’s very unlikely that Gauron and his subordinates would have been able to slip past them with their ASs.

テッサ
「よって、ガウルンの雇い主はザフトの人間か、
ザフトに繋がりを持つ者だと思われます」
Tessa: So that’s reason to believe that Gauron’s employer is someone from ZAFT or at the very least, someone with ties to ZAFT.

シマ
「その人物は、何故あのような男に
偵察という任務を与えたのでしょう?
的確な人選だとは思えませんが」
Shima: Why would the person in question hire a man such as that for a scouting mission? He seems like a less than ideal choice of personnel.

テッサ
「ガウルンが凄腕の傭兵であることは事実ですが…
他にも彼でなければならない理由が
あったのかも知れません」
Tessa: While it’s undeniable that Gauron is a remarkable mercenary... It’s possible there may be some other reason for why he was chosen.

シマ
「たとえば?」
Shima: Such as?

テッサ
「ゲートの向こう側に
あなた達がいると想定していたとか」
Tessa: The employer expected you would be on the other side of the Gate.

オルガ
「どうやってそんなことがわかるってんだ?」
Orga: And just how would they know that?

テッサ
「結果から導き出した推論です。
認識手段はともかく、そう考えると
人選については説明が付きませんか?」
Tessa: That’s simply the conclusion I’ve come to from looking at the results. Would there be any other reason for that particular choice in personnel?

「確かに」
Shima: A fair point.

「では、ガウルンの雇い主について
見当が付いているのですか?」
Murrue: Then do you have any idea who Gauron’s employer is?

テッサ
「現状では何とも言えません。

Tessa: It’s difficult to say for now. ...Was there anything else you wanted to ask?

Bright: We would like to have information on the Gates in this world.

テッサ
「それは、こちらからの本題でもあります。
皆さんが通過したルワンダ上空のゲートの他に、
二つのゲートが出現しています」
Tessa: Yes, that was the main point I wanted to address. In addition to the Gate you passed through over Rwanda, there are two additional Gates that have appeared.

Shima: Are they stable?

「はい。
場所は中立地帯であるインドネシアの
ゴア・ガジャ遺跡上空と…」
Tessa: Yes. One is located in Indonesia, over the historical ruins of Goa Gajah...

「地球連合の勢力圏内である
イギリスのセント・マイケルズ・マウント上空です」
Tessa: The other is within the Earth Alliance’s territory of England, in the skies above St. Michael’s Mount.

「二つとも遺跡の上なのか」
Benkei: They’re both over historical sites, then.

(つまり、パワースポット…
ゲート出現の共通条件が少し増えたわね)
Misato: (In other words, Power Spots... That adds a bit more credibility to the idea of it being a condition to a Gate’s appearance.)

「その二つのゲートから何か出て来たのか?」
Orga: Has anything come out of those Gates?

テッサ
「いえ、まだです。
なお、イギリスのゲートは連合に手を回し、
周辺地域を封鎖してもらっています」
Tessa: No, not as of yet. In addition, the Gate in England has been locked down by the Alliance.

テッサ
「また、近い内に
無人偵察機による調査を行う予定です」
Tessa: Also, they will begin investigating it via unmanned drones before long.

ブライト
「インドネシアのゲートは?」
Bright: And the Indonesia Gate?

テッサ
「先程も申し上げた通り、そこは中立地帯ですので
ミスリルの部隊を秘密裏に派遣します」
Tessa: As I previously said, it is a neutral zone. Mithril will be sending a unit to investigate it covertly.

オルガ
「不明な点は多いが、
ゲートが二つ出て来たってのは朗報だな」
Orga: There’s a lot we don’t know, but it’s still good news to find two more Gates.

シマ
「だが、それらが我々の世界、
または我々が知っている世界へ
繋がっているとは限らない」
Shima: But they do not necessarily lead to worlds of our own, or even any worlds that we may know of.

オルガ
「そんなこたぁ、わかってる。
けどよ、時間を掛けてちまちま調べるより、
俺達がゲートに飛び込んだ方が早いぜ」
Orga: Yeah, I know that. But instead of waiting around trying to figure it out, we could just head right in ourselves.

オルガ
「現に、そうやってこの世界へ来たんだしよ」
Orga: I mean, that’s how we came to this world.

ミサト
「前回に関しては、
行き先の見当が付いていたからよ」
Misato: But last time, at least had a pretty good idea of where we were headed.

テッサ
「どうしますか、ブライト大佐?
連合やザフトはあなた方の存在を知っており、
遠からず何らかの動きを見せるでしょう」
Tessa: What do you plan to do next, Captain Bright? Both the Alliance and ZAFT are now aware of your existence, and it won’t take long for either of them to take some sort of action.

テッサ
「味方にするか、敵と見なすか…
いずれにせよこの世界の戦争へ
本格的に巻き込まれかねません」
Tessa: You could consider them allies or see them as enemies... Either way, you could quite easily find yourselves at war with the world at large.

Bright: ...I believe it would be best for us to head for a Gate rather than incite unnecessary chaos.

「では、どちらに?
それとも、二手に分かれますか?」
Misato: But which one should we go to? Or do you think we should split into two groups?

「ゲートの先がわからない以上、
戦力の分散は避けたい」
Bright: Until we know what’s beyond the Gates, we should avoid separating our forces.

テッサ
「イギリスへ行くにはザフトの勢力圏内である
アフリカ大陸を迂回する必要がありますので…」
Tessa: If you go to England, you’ll have to detour around the African continent to avoid ZAFT’s sphere of influence...

テッサ
「現在地点を考慮し、インドネシアのゲートへ
向かわれた方がいいと思います。
海上の移動なら、私達も同行できますから」
Tessa: With your present situation in mind, I would recommend making your way towards the Indonesia Gate. If you travel above water, then we will be able to accompany you as well.

マリュー
「…その方が私達にとっては助かります。
実は、地球連合本部に連絡を取った所、自力で
アラスカまで辿り着くよう命令されましたので」
Murrue: ...That would be of great help to us. In fact, we recently received contact from Earth Alliance Headquarters and were given orders to proceed to Alaska on our own.

テッサ
「アラスカですか…。
最短ルートとなると、ザフトの勢力圏である
アフリカを通過する必要がありますね」
Tessa: Alaska... The shortest route there would be to pass through the ZAFT controlled Africa.

シマ
「敵の勢力圏を突っ切るのは非常に危険だと
思いますが」
Shima: I find it would be exceptionally dangerous to cross through enemy controlled territory.

マリュー
「ええ。なので、インド洋から太平洋に出て、
アラスカに向かうルートを辿ります」
Murrue: And I agree. So for that reason, we will proceed through the Indian Ocean to the Pacific Ocean, and follow the route to Alaska from there.

マリュー
「インドネシアのゲートはその上にあるので、
途中まで皆さんと同行させてもらえば、助かります。
手前勝手なお願いではありますが…」
Murrue: The Indonesia Gate is along the way, so it would be of great help if everyone were to accompany us there. Although that is a selfish request to be sure...

Bright: There’s no need for concern, Captain Ramius. We’ve worked together for some time now.

Bright: I apologize that we won’t be able to accompany you to Alaska, but we will be with you on the way to the Indonesia Gate.

「よう、お疲れさん」
Kurz: You’re doin’ good work there.

マオ
「その機体、使えるようになったの?
格納庫の隅にずっと置いてあったけど」
Mao: Is that fighter finally working? It’s been sitting in the back of the hanger for a while now.

マードック
「スカイグラスパーな。
他に整備する機体が多くて、
後回しになってたんだよ」
Murdoch: The Sky Grasper, huh. I’ve had so many other machines to worry about, I’ve had to put that one off.

クルツ
「スカイグラスパーって、
ストライクの支援戦闘機だっけ」
Kurz: So is that Sky Grasper the Strike’s support fighter?

ムウ
「それだけじゃなく、ストライカーパックも
戦闘中に渡せる。今、調整しているのは
その中の一つ、ソードストライカーだ」
Mu: Not only that, but it can also transport Striker Packs during combat. Like right now, he’s doing some adjustments to the Sword Striker.

ロックオン
「で、誰がスカイグラスパーに乗るんだ?」
Lockon: So who’ll be piloting the Sky Grasper?

「俺だよ。
これでもモビルアーマー乗りだからな」
Mu: That’d be me. I’m a Mobile Armor pilot after all.

マオ

Mao: So you’ll be quitting your position as the Captain’s observer and make a return to the battlefield.

「少佐はキラのことを気にしてんのさ」
Murdoch: The Lieutenant Commander’s been worried about Kira too.

クルツ
「ああ、なるほど…」
Kurz: Ah, I see...

ムウ
「インドネシアのゲートに着いたら、
そこであんた達や他の艦の連中ともお別れだ」
Mu: Once we reach the Indonesia Gate, we’ll be saying our goodbyes with all of you.

ムウ
「そうなると、アークエンジェルの戦力は落ち、
坊主の負担が必然的に増えることになる。
そいつを何とかしたくてな」
Mu: That’d mean the Archangel’s fighting power will decrease, making it harder on the kid. So I wanted to do something about it.

クルツ
「キラの奴、この世界へ行くと決まってから
ずっと浮かない顔してたからな」
Kurz: Kira’s been looking more and more depressed ever since we got to this world.

ムウ
「坊主が意識していたかどうかはわからないが、
あんた達と一緒に戦うことになって
負担は減っていたはずだ」
Mu: I don’t know if the kid’s realized, but fighting alongside you guys has taken some of the weight off his shoulders.

ムウ
「だが、以前の状況に戻ったら、
あいつは今まで以上に気負う。
この艦を、みんなを守らなきゃ…ってな」
Mu: But once things go back to how they were, he might get too worked up.  Thinking “I have to protect the ship and everyone on it myself.” ...Something like that.

マオ
「何かを成そうとする意志ってのは、
戦いにおいて大事だけど…」
Mao: Having the motivation to do something is important in a battle, but...

「ああ、そいつが裏目に出なけりゃいいが…」

いきなりザフトの勢力圏だなんて」
Sai: It was pretty crazy when we came out of the Gate and were suddenly in the middle of ZAFT territory.

サイ
「これからが大変だよな。
また前みたいにアークエンジェルだけで
戦うことになるんだから…」
Sai: It’ll be tough form here on out. Soon we’ll have to go back to how it was before, fighting with just the Archangel...

キラ

Kira: ...

サイ
「どうした?」
Sai: Is something wrong?

キラ
「…サイに言われなくっても、やることはわかってる。
僕がやるしか…頑張るしかないんだろ」
Kira: ...I don’t need you to tell me any of that. I know what have to do. And... I know I’m the only one that can do it.

サイ
「お、おい、ちょっと待てよ。
俺が言いたいのは、そういうことじゃなくて…」
Sai:  H-Hey, hang on. That wasn’t what I was trying to say at all...

Flay: Stop it, Sai!

余計な時間を取らせないで」
Flay: Kira’s tired and needs to rest. He doesn’t need you taking up any of his time.

Sai: I get that, but...

Flay: Kira will have to fight ZAFT from now on.

「だって、私達を守ってくれるのは

Flay: Because he’s the only person that can protect us.

サイ

「そうだ。今回発生が確認されたのは三つ。
その中の一つから足付きが現れた」
Creuset: Indeed. Although this time, there were three confirmed occurrences. And the Legged One appeared from within one of them.

「本当ですか!?」
Yzak: Really!?

クルーゼ
「ああ。
あの艦は同行艦と共に追撃を振り切り、
現在はインド洋に出て、東へ向かっている」
Creuset: Yes. The ship has shaken off its pursuers and is currently heading east through the Indian Ocean. It is also traveling alongside other ships now.

「ルワンダでの交戦記録を見る限り、
足付きに同行している部隊には、高い戦闘能力を持った
未知の機動兵器が多数存在している」
Creuset: Based off the report from the battle they had in Rwanda, the Legged One’s cohorts are a large number of unknown mobile weapons that possess great combat ability.

「そんな連中が足付きと一緒にいるということは…
連合側に付く可能性が高いのでしょうか?」
Dearka: If they’re with the Legged One... Then doesn’t that mean there’s a good chance they’re on the Alliance’s side?

クルーゼ
「ああ。上層部には
彼らの機動兵器に興味を持つ者もいるが…
先程、我々に撃破命令が下った」
Creuset: Yes. Some of the higher ups are interested in their mobile weapons... However, we have recently received orders to crush them.

「…!」
Yzak: ...!

クルーゼ
「式典出席のためプラントに出向いた
アスランとニコルには、隊への帰還命令を出した。
彼らが戻り次第、作戦を開始する」
Creuset: Athrun and Nicol were attending a ceremony in the PLANTs, but have now been ordered back to the unit. As soon as they return, we will begin our operation.

「…お言葉ですが、未知の機動兵器がいるのであれば、
まず威力偵察を行った方が良いのではないでしょうか」
Yzak: ...With all due respect, sir, if there are unknown mobile weapons present, I believe reconnaissance is necessary.

Creuset: Hm... It’s true that the Legged One must be kept from straying too far. Very well, you have permission to sortie. Just don’t overextend yourselves.

Murrue: At any rate... What is HQ thinking? Aren’t they aware of our situation?

Miriallia: Wh-What’s going on!?

「落ち着け!
直ちに損害状況を調べ、報告しろ!」

Murrue: Launching EVA Unit-01 is top priority! Prepare for the second bombardment!

Torres: Multiple Mobile Suits are approaching from the sky!

「直ちに対空防御! 各機も出撃しろ!」
Bright: Anti-air defenses, on the double! And launch all units!

出て来い、ストライク!」
Yzak: That stopped the Legged One from moving...! Come on out, Strike!

Dreaka: You’re violating orders, Yzak!

「この機会にストライクを倒す!
手を出すんじゃないぞ!」
Yzak: This is my chance to take down the Strike! Don’t get in my way!

やっぱり最初からそのつもりだったか…」
Dearka: Yeah, yeah, I knew you were planning this from the start...

なら、ここから援護してやるよ」
Dearka: Can’t be helped then. I’ll cover you from here.

Lockon: The machine with the rifle on its back is the one that shot the Archangel.

Heero: There was never going to be a second bombardment. The Buster’s hyper long range weaponry is incapable of rapid-fire.

Kyo: On the other hand, that means it’ll take another shot at us if after a while...

貴様にやられたこの傷の屈辱を晴らす!」
Yzak: Welcome back, Strike! Now I can wipe away the humiliation from this wound you gave me!

キラ
「自分の世界に帰ってきたんだ!
だから、僕がみんなを…!」
Kira: I’m back in my own world! So I have to protect everyone...!

(This exchange triggers if Kira battles Dearka.)

ディアッカ
「まったく…。
ここでストライクと戦うつもりはなかったんだがな。
後で何かおごれよ、イザーク!」
Dearka: Oh come on... I never wanted to fight the Strike here to begin with. You owe me after this, Yzak!

キラ
「これ以上、
アークエンジェルに手出しはさせない!」
Kira: I’m not going to let you mess with the Archangel anymore!

(This line triggers if Dearka is defeated.)

ディアッカ
「これ以上の戦闘は無理か…!
イザーク、程々にしておけよ!」
Dearka: Fighting anymore is pointless...! Keep it in moderation, Yzak!

(Dearka leaves the map.)

(Battle 2 ends when Yzak is defeated.)

イザーク
「くっ、ダメージを受け過ぎた…!」
Yzak: Agh, I took too much damage...!

イザーク
「ストライクを目の前にしながら…!
撤退する!」
Yzak: And when the Strike was right in front of me too...! We’re retreating!

(Yzak and any remaining enemies leave the map.)

アキト
「…終わったか」
Akito: ...It’s over.

ブライト
「敵の追撃は不要だ。各機は周辺を警戒せよ」
Bright: There’s no need to pursue the enemy. All units, secure the perimeter.

キラ
「駄目だ…。
バスターを放っておけば、
また狙撃されるかもしれない」
Kira: No... If we leave the Buster alone, it’ll snipe us again.

キラ
「そうしたら、今度こそアークエンジェルは…!」
Kira: So this time, I’ll protect the Archangel...!

(Kira leaves the map.)

マリュー
「ストライクが!」
Murrue: The Strike—!

ナタル
「何をしているんだ、あいつは!
命令違反だぞ!」
Natarle: What does he think he’s doing!? He’s violating orders!

ロックオン
「やれやれ、不安が的中しちまったか…」
Lockon: Hate to say it, but it looks like our worries were right on the mark...


(Scene changes to a different map screen near more islands.)

「もう少しで追いつける…!」
Kira: I’ve almost caught up to them...!

(Kira is attacked from somewhere.)

キラ
「くうっ!」
Kira: Agh!

キラ
「翼がやられた!? 高度が維持できない!」
Kira: They got my wings!? I can’t maintain my altitude!

(Kira lands on the island.)

キラ
「さっきの攻撃、まったく見えなかった…!
もしかして…!?」
Kira: I couldn’t even see that attack just now...! Wait, does that mean...!?

(Gauron appears.)

ガウルン
「単機で飛び出してくる馬鹿がいるとはな。
とんだ儲けもんだぜ」
Gauron: Didn’t think some dumbass would fly out on his own. This is easy money.

キラ
「銀色のAS!」
Kira: The silver AS!

ガウルン
「さあ、行くぜ」
Gauron: Alright, let’s do this.

(Gauron moves closer.)

キラ
「こいつ!」
Kira: You little...!

(Kira attacks Gauron.)

ガウルン
「当たるかよ!」
Gauron:  You missed!

(Gauron dodges and backs away)

ガウルン
「さあ、こっちだ! 追いかけて来い!」
Gauron: Yeah, that’s right! Come on and chase me!

キラ
「ここで逃がして、
アークエンジェルへ向かわれたら…!」
Kira: If he leaves here and heads for the Archangel...!

(Hyoma, Eiji, Kamille, Lockon, and Mu all appear.)

「大丈夫か、キラ!?」
Hyoma: You alright, Kira!?

キラ
「みんな…!」
Kira: You guys...!

エイジ
「あのASは、この間の…!?」
Eiji: Is that the AS from before...!?

カミーユ
「俺達とザフトの戦闘を察知して来たのか?」
Kamille: Did they figure out we were in a battle with ZAFT?

ガウルン
「ふん、仲間が来やがったか。
手駒を呼び戻さにゃならんが…
その前にあいつぐらいは仕留めておくか!」
Gauron: Hmph, his friends showed up. The boss’ll be calling me back then... Buuut I can at least kill one of ‘em on my way out!

キラ
「来る…っ!」
Kira: He’s coming...!

(Mu flies towards Kira in the Sky Grasper.)

ムウ
「坊主、こいつに換装しろ!
ソードのストライカーパックだ!」
Mu: Kid, switch to this! It’s the Sword Striker Pack!

キラ
「は、はい! やってみます!」
Kira: R-Right! I’ll give it a shot!

(Kira uses Sword Striker Pack on Gauron. An attack animation begins.)

キラ
「接近さえすれば!」
Kira: If I can just get in close!

キラ
「そこだっ!!」
Kira: There!!

キラ
「てえええい!」
Kira: TEEEI!

ガウルン
「ハハ! やるじゃないか! ええ、おい!」
Gauron: Haha! You’re pretty good! Yeah, come on!

(Battle animation ends. Gauron’s HP is down to 40%.)

「おかげで面白くなってきたぜ!
今度はこっちの番だ!」
Gauron: You’re showing me a real good time, aren’t you!? Now it’s my turn!

(Gauron’s AS sparks.)

ガウルン
「チッ、ラムダ・ドライバが…!」
Gauron: Tch, he got the Lambda Driver...!

ガウルン
「やれやれ、横着したバチが当たったな。
ここは大人しく引き上げとくか」
Gauron: Man, right when we were in the middle of it too. Guess I’ll just pull out of here.

(Gauron leaves the map.)

Juzo: That guy ran away!

「キラの一撃が効いたようだな」
Kamille: Kira’s attack must have done the job.

「さっきは助かりました。

それより帰ったら覚悟しておけよ、坊主」
Mu: Don’t thank me. Just be ready for when we get back, kid.

だが、一人だけで気負いすぎるな」
Mu: Maybe you thought you were doing the right thing. But one person can’t just do as they please.

キラ

ムウ
「キラ・ヤマト。
処罰が決まるまで自室で待機。
これは命令だ」
Mu: Kira Yamato. Standby in your room until your punishment is decided. That’s an order.

キラ
「…はい」
Kira: ...Okay.

(Kira leaves.)

「…納得してるようには見えなかったけどな」
Lockon: ...I’m getting the feeling he didn’t take that to heart.

ムウ
「だが、言わないわけにはいかない」
Mu: But I still had to say it to him.

「そりゃそうだ」
Lockon: Yeah, of course.

何で罰を受けなきゃならないの?」
Flay: You did what you did to defeat ZAFT. Why should you be punished for that?

Kallen: I can’t imagine one machine would be acting on its own... Maybe he was just scouting our fighting strength.

Murrue: They should be quite eager to get their hands on our combat data, so I doubt they’ll refuse our request.

Tessa: Understood. We’ll try to reach out to Morgenroete Incorporated discreetly on our end.
