-This crustacean-like organism was created as a form of symbiotic armor, boasting a shell of super-hard material that shines with the color and sheen of mirror-polished silver. It instinctively seeks out a worthy master to call its own, and upon finding one its loyalty will become absolute; in times of danger the beast will leap upon its host, expanding its shell to its full size and sinking the various feelers and spikes on the underside of its body into their back. Through the connection formed in this action, the crustacean shares nutrients, memories, and neural impulses, becoming a protective shell around their master that moves in tandem with their own body. So great is it's loyalty, that the beast will even sacrifice its own life if it senses the end nearing, severing the connection and forcibly ejecting the wearer so that they might escape.
