Sure - when people say "you're in my prayers" they really mean "I hope it goes well and that you don't embarrass yourself or die". However - you seem bright enough (or is it the ADHD or just the video editing?) to know that in a superiority trial all serious medical therapy is tested against a placebo for efficacy.


When the *intention of prayer* is in alignment with what the placebo effect can do then of course prayer can "work". For example - I cured myself of the social stigma that comes with bad breath by repeating the prayer: _"it's probably not as bad as everyone keeps saying"_.


Of course - praying for something ridiculous like "world peace" is not going to work any more than hoping for "science" to trick "evolution" into granting us wings.
