  1. 1.4.2:custom:1:Hunter (Old Survival) v3:This concept aims to provide a "modern" version of what was Survival__cm__ prior to __n__the Legion expansion reworks. The last time this core playstyle was in the __n__game was in Warlords of Draenor. Back then__cm__ we only had Core Specializations __n__to pursue individual identities. Talents were class-wide__cm__ for the most part__cm__ and __n__only a select few adhered to the theme that was Survival.__n____n__Note that all numbers mentioned in any tooltips are only there to further the __n__concept__cm__ and are subject to change.__n____n__The two nodes that are up on their own__cm__ in the top right corner__cm__ aren't intended to be__n__actual talent picks. They're just there to show the Mastery bonus effect you get__n__with this spec__cm__ along with how Lone Wolf should be a baseline passive effect for anyone__n__who prefer to not play with a pet.__n____n__In the hunter class tree__cm__ the intent is that Serpent Sting should be moved up in the tree__cm__ __n__to replace Concussive Shot as a starting talent. And then__cm__ Serpent Sting is the intended __n__"freebee" talent that you get if you choose this spec. Concussive Shot could just be __n__moved further down in the class tree.__n____n__About the spec...__n____n__The theme of the spec is to focus on the fantasy of a munitions expert and trapper__cm__ __n__in the style of WoW__cm__ like it did while it was still in the game. Contrary to Marksmanship__cm____n__this spec does not pursue the idea of a sharpshooter__cm__ but instead focuses on the arrows__cm__ __n__or the projectiles you fire from your weapon__cm__ on ways to augment them to become more__n__deadly. There's also a section that focuses on Immolation Trap__cm__ on ways to enhance it__cm__ __n__or make it easier to use in various situations. It's not required to take Immolation Trap to __n__reach a capstone node__cm__ in case you prefer not to use it.__n____n__There are several sub-sections/themes within the tree__cm__ focusing on different types of shots__n__and enhancements. Animal venom__cm__ explosives__cm__ fire traps__cm__ magic and other posions__cm__ as well __n__as a section that focuses on electricity.__n____n__On a mechanical level__cm__ the intent is to preserve the ways that made this spec powerful in __n__multi-target scenarios__cm__ in sustained cleave and AoE-encounters. But at the same time__cm__ also__n__allow for some options to improve on burst potential. Something the spec was somewhat__n__lacking__cm__ back in Warlords of Draenor.
