This is the story that follows the <Dragon Scale>.
This is the story of those who slay the dragon.

"Sacred Dragoon" is a tabletop roleplaying game set in the fantasy world of "Elveria"—a world where swords and sorcery meet. In the skies over Elveria, the corpse of the Sacred Dragoon—the messenger of the gods, believed to have long ago fought with an evil dragon—drifts. However, pieces of its body break away and fall to the ground below. When that happens, the area is blanketed by a dangerous domain known as a <Sanctum>.

<Sanctums> are pocket dimensions that the twisting of natural laws, brought on by the power of a <Dragon Scale>, create. And so, the people who serve as protagonists of this story are superhumans who have taken small <Dragon Scales> into their own bodies, and by controlling it, become able to manifest extraordinary special powers. The goal of this game is to experience various stories surrounding <Dragon Scales> and the <Sacred Dragoon>, by becoming a <Dragon's Veins User>: a superhuman who possesses mighty special powers, and has gained the power to defeat dragon that guards the <Dragon Scale> at the heart of a <Sanctum>.
