Mother's day Kelsey

Alexithymiaa: -Brad bustled around the kitchen with Connor trying his best to make some sort of edible mother's day dinner for Kelsey. They had bacon mac and cheese going on the stove in a pot, chicken cutlets in the oven, and instant mashed potatoes already done in a serving dish. These were the things Brad knows how to make. "Hey Little Man, why dont you stir the mac and cheese? It should be ready." He leaned down to pick Connor up, setting him down to sit next to the stove and babysitting him merely so Connor could be the one to stir.-
Covet: Kelsey had been sequestered to her dorm room and told not to leave until the boys came and got her, so she'd been changing into something nice for dinner and had been studying while she waited after that. The noises from the kitchen concerned her a little bit here and there, and it was a struggle not to go check on them, but she let them be, and do their thing. // Connor leaned over on the counter and went about stirring the mac n cheese, not too fast or too slow, because I'm sure Kelsey's taught him something by now. "It smells really Bacony Dad. How much longer do we have left before we have to go get Momma?"
Alexithymiaa: "Just another minute. The chicken should be done." He helped Connor down off the counter to his feet, gesturing back toward Kelsey's dorm. "You know what, you go surprise her and I'll take the chicken out for you, okay?" He asked, grabbing some pot holders and opening the oven so he could take the tray out.-
Covet: "Okay Dad!" Connor said as he got to his fee, once Brad got him to the ground. He ran down the hallway as fast as a five year old can and went to knock on the door. "Momma, Dinner's almost ready! You can come out now." // Hearing her son's voice at the door she smiled and went to open it up, then went to pick him up giving him sticky lip gloss kisses on his cheeks, "Well it smells pretty good out here."
Alexithymiaa: -Reaching over to get a plate for Kelsey, he put a piece of chicken on it and then began spooning mac and cheese and a helping of mashed potatoes with absolutely no vegetables in this meal. Setting the plate down, he turned to look at Kelsey on her way out with Connor, lingering in the kitchen because he intended to have Kelsey sit and Connor take the plate over to her.-
Covet: "Momma, stop, your lips are sticky, you gotta let me down, we're not done just yet." He said kicking his feet a little., "Put me down then go sit down okay?" // Kelsey complied with him setting him back down on the ground as he ran off into the kitchen with Brad, and made her way over to the dinning area to sit down and wait for them to come over. "What all did you guys make, should I get myself something to drink?"
Alexithymiaa: "I'll get you a drink." He said quickly, not wanting her to get up. He picked up the plate for Kelsey, leaning over to hand it off to Connor. "Bring this to Momma carefully, okay?" He said, watching the kid because he didnt want him to drop it. He then reached for the fridge and pulled out the sweet bottle of white wine he'd been chilling, pouring it into a glass for her.-
Covet: "I will, I will" Connor said, then walked over to the table with the plate carefully then set it up on the table for her, "Here Momma, It's really good, Mac n cheese, with bacon, I got to stir that. And then mashed potatoes and chicken. Dad said we didn't need a vegetable, because it's a special day." // Kelsey laughed as she looked over everything and gave it a smell, "It looks like you guys worked hard, and look at that Dad even got the special Momma grape juice." She said with a grin at Connor who scrunched up his face.
Alexithymiaa: -Carefully swinging the wine glass around to deliver it to Kelsey at the table, he bowed a little. "Just for you." He smiled before walking back into the kitchen to get two more plates dished up since the presentation of it was over. He walked back to the table and set the two places down, helping Connor into the chair before taking his own seat. "Admittedly, these are the only things I know how to cook, so..."-
Covet: "Thanks Dad" Connor said once he'd been helped up to the table by him and he started to dig into his food because small boy child need food now. // Kelsey took a sip from the wine before she went about trying the food that they'd made, " I'm not making any complaints, unless you didn't pick up some sort of amazing or double desserts." She told him taking a bite of the mashed potatoes.
Alexithymiaa: "Who do you think you're talking to here?" He asked with a smirk, digging into his own food and spooning some potatoes into his mouth. "How do you like it?"-

Covet: "I love it Dad. It's really good. You make good chicken, almost as good as Momma's." Connor said as she went about eating and drinking his dinner. // Kelsey smiled enjoying the wine thoroughly, as well as the rest of the food. "I also love it. You did pretty good on the potatoes too."
Alexithymiaa: "I'll let Hungry Jack know you approve of their potatoes." He said with a grin, eating some more chicken. "Thanks Little Man. If there's anything I've learned to actually cook, it's chicken. Everything else I think we should leave to the professional." His eyes flicked over to Kelsey, trying to pay her a compliment even if it didnt necessarily seem like it.-
Covet: "Yeah, I wanna be an awesome cook like Momma, and have a cooking show." Connor said looking at them. // "I do, greatly." Kelsey said with a laugh. "Aww, well thank you, you both are making me feel so special tonight." She said putting her hand to her chest as she finished off her wine and her food.
Alexithymiaa: "A cooking show, huh?" He asked as he finished his dinner, leaning back in his seat, the wheels turning in his head. "Who knows, maybe you'll get to make your own cooking show sooner than you think." He flashed a grin at Kelsey before speaking again. "Do you need more wine?"-
Covet: "Yeah, like those kids on Masterchef Junior. But, you have to be eight years old, so I gotta practice." Connor said with a yawn, "Can I be all done?" He asked since most of his plate was already gone. // Kelsey nodded her head, "Yep, how about you go wash your hands and face, and go get your Pj's on. I'll be in to tuck you in, in just a few." She told Connor and then looked at Brad, with a nod, "I'd love some more, nothing like getting buzzed while washing the dishes. You going to help me?" She asked with a wink.
Alexithymiaa: "Washing dishes? You're not washing dishes on your own Mother's day meal." He said with a scoff, sliding out of his chair and collecting their plates to bring over into the sink. Grabbing the bottle of wine, he brought it over to the table to refill Kelsey's glass, waiting for Connor to run off to wash up before speaking again. "We should produce a little cooking show for him."-
Covet: "Awh, Really? How did I get so lucky, I was more than okay with doing them myself, since you guys cooked." She told him with a smile, then happily enjoyed more of her wine, " That would be really cute, we could put it on Youtube or something?"
Alexithymiaa: "Yeah, we could easily put it on youtube. I'd be editing everything together for him anyway so honestly, it's no extra work to just upload it. And who knows, he might be an internet sensation. The internet loves cute kids. You might just have to help him with the cooking part. He's got stirring down, though." Walking back over into the kitchen, he opened the fridge and pulled out a cheesecake that he'd bought from a good bakery, setting it down on the table for her.-
Covet: "Connor is a pretty cute kid, and I'd happily help him out with some more of that too. I'm sure Holly could help him with some things over the summer. He could have a special cooking assistant." Kelsey said with a smile, then gasped at the cheesecake, because homg cheesecake. She picked up a fork and was just going to dig into it because fuck normal slices.
Alexithymiaa: (HE DIDNT EVEN GET HER A PLATE)
Covet: [hahaha good!]
Alexithymiaa: "Then it's settled." He said a little triumphantly, sitting down with his own fork to have some of the cheesecake despite the fact that he probably shouldnt have very much. It's not sugar free because fuck that.-
