Q: What's No OoB?
A: No OoB stands for No Out of Bounds and is essentially a way of saying, "beat the game as fast as possible without leaving the games inteded areas"

Q: What are you trying to do at the start?
A: I'm trying to do a trick called flag proxy. By doing a series of inputs against the flag pole in the training course you can leap jak into the air. If the camera decides to follow Jak, it can deload all the tokens in the arena without you having to collect them manually. It saves around 15 seconds but its pretty inconsistent. The key part is getting the camera to follow you, if the camera doesn't follow jak the trick doesn't work.

Q: How does Cave Skip work?
A: By parking the car against the egg wall you are able to shift or "mutate" the hitbox of the wall to create an opening that you can drive through. Whether you get a hole on the left or right is random as far as we know, so i do a quick check on the left to see if the hole is there. If it isn't then the hole is on the right side.

Q: Is cave skip not oob?
A: The community counts it as an inteded path, simply obscured by a wall. It's not out of the games intended boundries since you are supposed to go through the cave anyway later on in the game.

Q: How does No OoB differ from the 2014 any% route?
A: The first 13 minutes are the same, then comes the temple, where you can't skip the climb, the glider or retrieving the invisibility powerup. You have to get all of the tokens in the token room in monk temple tests, since token skip is out of bounds. Palace ruins has to be completed inbounds, and so does BTR, even if "inbounds" is a slight grey area here. Dark ship has to be done within the boundaries of the ship as well.

Q: What's the thing you are trying to do at the start?
A: You're most likely refering to flag pole proxy, and by high jumping into the flag pole next to Damas' throne you can get a huge launch into the air and deload all the tokens in the arena. This skips having to around collecting them. This saves 10-15 seconds on average but 17 if you're completely perfect.

Q: How do you skip precursor robot?
A: Xyphles initially discovered the trick on April 12th 2022, and is performed by dark bombing after the 4th pillar is rising up from the ground. If you do a dark bomb attack you hit all 3 bomb carts at the same time, instantly ending the fight. You can tell you got it if the middle cart cutscene plays and you spawn with no boss there. The downside to this is that the game still thinks you're in the fight, so side missions are not active upon entering haven city afterwards.

Q: Why do you not use the Ram Rod anymore for BTR?
A: Zanderful found BTR Skip 9 days before Robot Skip on April 3rd 2022. It's simply done by having a side mission active and entering palace ruins. However in the run you see me walk into Palace ruins and then back out. Why? - This is to percentage warp the game forward to activate the sidemissions in haven city. You can then walk back out of ruins, buy the side mission and walk back in. This causes the enemies to not spawn and you also spawn on foot in BTR.

Q: I heard something was faster in subrails now?
A: Yes, so by hugging the corners in subrails you cut the corners tighter and it adds up to multiple seconds throughout the run. Additionally a  jump can be performed at the end of subrails 2 that can save anywhere from 1-4 seconds depending how lucky you get. All of this was discovered by Inkblowout.

Q: What's the trick where you jump into the water?
A: Dexz warp is a weird one. We know how to do it, not really why it works. All you do is jump into the water with 1st person and a boost active and it warps you half way up the monk temple climb. The car also needs to be not tilted at an angle for it to work.
