As a part of the [[:species:mishhuvurthyar]] themselves, each individual typically has a large number of tentacles, which in turn can be used for various roles. Certain types are considered 'standard', but considering their [[stararmy:hemosynthesis|hemosynthetic nature]], individuals can easily produce limbs with specialized functions of their own. This ability to form new types of limbs is only limited by the individual's creativity, making their tentacles as ubiquitously terrifying as the Mishhuvurthyar themselves.((This article serves as a direct continuation of the [[species:mishhuvurthyar:tentacles]] page, but contains content that may not be safe for work))

===== Tentacle Types =====

Though there are a variety of forms which they can take, each type of tentacle serves a clear, distinct function.

==== Reproductive ====

Parasitic hermaphrodites, the Mishhuvurthyar and their derivatives have both male and female reproductive organs which are typically used on their victims to spawn offspring, sometimes killing them in the hatching or birthing process.

=== Male ===

The male organs are used on female victims or unfertilized eggs laid within bodies, alive or dead. Its form can vary greatly however, with the simplest ones appearing as just another standard tentacle. More elaborate male tentacles however, can take on various shapes and sizes due to the hemosynthetic abilities of the Mishhuvurthyar themselves for additional psychological effect on sapient victims. With these more complex tips or ends, it is not uncommon to have them retract into the tentacle like a sheath when not in use, the lengths protruding only when they are about to be used. Fortunately for most victims however, these are more uncommon due to the amount of time and effort which needs to be devoted into producing them.

Though the reproductive fluid projected by the male organs is thick, viscous, white, and slippery, it is closely related to hemosynthetic material due to the nano and femtomachines present, allowing it to play the same role as semen. As a result of its unique properties, this fluid can induce ovulation in the victim and override their genetic material so that they will only give birth to Mishhuvurthyar. The results can vary depending on the selections made by the Mishhuvurthyar producing the fluid however. In the worst case scenario, impregnation will be permanent, fertilizing the victim's entire ovaries so that each ovulation automatically results in a pregnancy. Nekovalkyrja are capable of resisting this however, but with varying success due to the ongoing biological warfare between species. The constantly updating countermeasures of both sides makes the results much more inconsistent. At the very least, the fluid will result in a single pregnancy.

It is, however, certain that the resulting pregnancy cannot be aborted through their body controls.

The male appendage is often combined or merged with the female for convenience, but despite this, is still typically used over it in certain circumstances. This is typically when the Mishhuvurthyar is attempting to produce additional offspring without consuming its own nutritional resources and the cost of time needed to produce said offspring is not a concern. Alternatively, and perhaps more importantly, the male appendages are used if the Mishhuvurthyar is looking for direct progeny of itself and its victim. This is typically done if they are looking to torment and humiliate individuals considered noteworthy, while producing stronger offspring with traits from both parents. This type of tentacle can also be used to produce progeny between two Mishhuvurthyar, typically to further their bloodlines, with one laying the eggs in a body - alive or dead - and the other fertilizing them.

=== Female ===

The female appendage is an ovipositor designed to quickly produce offspring in a short amount of time by either laying eggs into victims, regardless of gender, or the bodies of the dead in order to feed the resulting hatchlings. Its shape and size can vary greatly due to the hemosynthetic abilities present. These may simply have the same cosmetics as the simple standard type, but may even have sharper, more specialized ovipositors in the tips designed to quickly and efficiently penetrate living or dead bodies and deposit ovum within. Unlike the male appendages which have been specialized however, these specialized female appendages are more common due to the difficult and practical nature of piercing flesh for egg laying.

This tentacle type is often combined with the male appendage to simplify the process of reproduction, but has its own distinct uses.

The female reproductive organ is most often used over the male appendage to produce more developed offspring quickly through autogamy or self-fertilization, effectively producing either a direct clone, or recombining the Mishhuvurthyar's own genetic material in an attempt to produce a more unique individual and promote genetic diversity. The eggs may already be fertilized, at which the offspring may be either budding, or nearly fully developed and close to hatching. However, this uses additional resources from the progenitor's nutritional stores in exchange for the speed in which it may produce new individuals. Additionally, the eggs are used in reproduction between two Mishhuvurthyar, with one depositing them in a body, and the other fertilizing them.

== Ovum ==

Though the Mishhuvurthyar lay eggs, they are not the traditional type attributed to avian species, and have more in common with those laid by certain insects and even amphibians. The coloration and opacity of the eggs themselves may vary, easily ranging from a light tan, multi-colored appearance to opaque or even completely clear, with the developing offspring inside being completely visible. Its casing however, is universally tough, highly elastic, slippery and will only deform enough to be deposited, but not enough to potentially harm any offspring inside. Perhaps most importantly, the developmental state of the offspring inside and the size of the eggs may vary greatly according to the progenitor, and will determine what will occur upon hatching. Eggs that are small and lacking in nutrition will produce offspring that consume their hosts on emergence, while those that are large and have ample yolk stores or are sufficiently developed have a higher chance of not doing so.

The Mishhuvurthyar are well aware of this, and use it to effect.

The size of eggs laid varies greatly, with their lethality to hosts increasing the smaller the eggs become due to increased numbers and larger nutritional requirements to survive. It is worth noting that victims that have had eggs deposited through traumatic oviposition into flesh and body cavities have a very low survival rate, as they are often simply devoured. In comparison, females who have had ovum deposited directly into their womb have a very high survival chance provided the eggs laid are large and developed enough that the offspring will not devour their flesh. Should that not be the case however, only species such as Nekovalkyjra have been documented as surviving due to their hemosynthetic abilities.

===== Chemical Types =====

Though the Mishhuvurthyar are capable of producing a variety of substances, one in particular is deserving of infamy.

==== Aphrodisiac ====

As its name suggests, this complex hemosynth based drug causes the nerves of the victim's body associated with pleasure to be more responsive while drastically increasing libido. Typically used to torture and torment, the Mishhuvurthyar use this to elicit physical reactions while mentally assaulting and breaking their victims. The increased libido creates an increased desire for sexual intercourse, forcing victims to desire the Mishhuvurthyars' attention. As an added cruelty, they may refuse to copulate with their victim, turning the tables to further torment and otherwise extract valuable information in exchange for sex. Additional effects include altering the perception of pain and pleasure, replacing the former with the latter, as well as drastically increasing the suppleness of reproductive organs to better accommodate the Mishhuvurhtyar and their eggs.

When combined with sensory enhancement drugs, the effects can be traumatic, and at the very worse, will make victims go into cardiac arrest on orgasm or suddenly destroy cerebral neurons, causing death. Despite this risk and its association, its potential for abuse as a synthesized recreational drug is high.
