- KOF's multi-continental status all hinges on a single thing: the Zero Cannon.
- The Zero Cannon, going off of the official description, is a massive satellite laser outfitted with the same technology found within Krizalid's battle armor, which retrieves data from fighters and boosts the power output of whatever it's attached to.

- The Zero Cannon is in possession of the Clone Zero, and his goal is to destroy the organization known as NESTS so he can conquer the world.
- Now, the claims of Multi-Continental KOF are based around the Zero Cannon supposedly being capable of wiping out the entire surface of the earth-
- But there's a big issue.
- This is never backed up by anything concrete, canon or otherwise.
- Furthermore, all of this stems from a single line of dialogue in the KOF 2000 endings by Clone Zero:
- "Disintegrate in the light of a brand, new world"
- That's literally it.
- While are shown that the beam is capable of leveling a city, Southtown specifically, it was never established that it would be capable of wiping out the entire surface of the earth.
- To add even more dubiousness to such a claim? Clone Zero specifically Southtown because that was where he believed the NESTS' base was stationed. And when he goes to use the weapon again, it is a desperate last-ditch effort to kill the heroes alongside him.
- And to really prove how wrong the claim is:
- The cannon hits the ground canonically and non-canonically when shot a second time and it does not destroy the entire surface of the world.
- Besides the scene there with Kula's ending where it clearly hits the ground and does not actually kill everything-

- Kim's ending gives a far clearer interpretation and the beam fails to do its supposed purpose.
- This leaves the cast as Large Island Level due to being superior to Verse's feat of that caliber.

- The Relativistic side of Proto's calc still looks fine and doesn't rely on the statement, so it can stay.
