Four Fates Under the Southern Sun, 3.5, Session 26

Start: 5 am, Foreautumn 23, 401 GA

The party rested within the moonlight sanctum of Eeg-sha-nûl. They searched it for traps or surveillance, and found none. It seems the giants kept their word.

Without any further fanfare, the party departed from the place.

Their impromptu guide, the skeletal giant which seemed to serve as a middleman between them and the giants followed them on the way out.

On the way out, Pan severed the chain to the waterfall gibbet. It plummeted into the depths of the Deepling spawning pool.

The party made their way back to the squeeze and made their way through.

Using her ice magic, Emilia froze the acid and the party ambushed the deeplings residing within the chamber. They dispatched the deeplings. The skeleton sent to serve as their escort perished in the combat. Nobody seemed too perturbed by the loss.

They descended into the pit below on Winter's back.

Inside, they heard a horrible shriek, and saw several humanoid creatures ambling about absentmindedly, until they arrived. A horror writhed in the muck of the place, briefly dipping above the surface to be seen. It did not seem to notice them at first, until Emilia summoned a crocodile to test the creature's abilities, and lower the temperature of the chamber considerably using her magic. The creature swallowed the crocodile whole.

Examining the creature more closely, Ryardynin determined

Visually, the giant creature resembled the tiny parasites the deeplings were rife with. He suspected it cannot move quickly on land at all, and it certainly can't fly. It seemed to be an effective swimmer, and excelled at close range combat, and swallowing its victims whole. It seemed obvious to him alone the creature isn't their queen, but it might be a consort of some kind.

Witnessing all of this, the party pondered on their next move.
