  1. Dearest Friend,
  2.
  3. I must admit that this missive was composed reluctantly, as at present I unfortunately do not find myself in the most vigorous of temperaments-- yet dictating these private words to be written down by another hand did not seem a wise alternative. Fate has a cruel sense of humor and the written script is now one of the few talents of which my remaining appendage is still capable. And so you now grasp the product of two (2) nights of labor by candlelight, with many breaks for fresh air in-between.
  4.
  5. I do want you to know how much effort was invested in this single ream of parchment and I would thank whatever blessed quirk of sidereal providence you were born under that you have such a devoted correspondent.
  6.
  7. I would have stopped taking food if it had been the other one, I really do believe that-- one more thing to have to learn again would have been too daunting a task, even for our favorite fair warrior.
  8.
  9. As for the time and sign of our meeting, I really wish you had chosen another more agreeable herald. I do know you love your dramatic entrances, but alas-- as of recent stormy weather does not agree with my injuries and the unpleasant becomes the unbearable at the whim of the heavens. (I do know that you must have been ignorant of this as you would never seek to cause a soul any intentional harm)
  10.
  11. Fear not-- I am not in the position to gossip to most anyone aside from the nursemaids. And they, for whatever reason, seem to be in low spirits these past few moons. Strange.
  12.
  13. ⚜Countess Lacey Vadann⚜
  14.
  15. A HASTY ADDENDUM: Please bring me some strong mead--they won't let me have any and I would very much appreciate some.
