  1. [7:07 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Last we left off, you have became Dragon Slayer.
  2.
  3. You have made a quick camp, dined, and prepared your gear, before moving onto the Weatherlight Monastery just a distance away.
  4.
  5. [7:07 PM] Faerie: >after all his minions died, you can force him to try to hit Razmik instead of anyone else
  6. [7:07 PM] Faerie: Wait, WHAT(edited)
  7. [7:07 PM] Faerie: Also, Fourze!
  8. [7:07 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: You benefit from short rest, of course, and the associated benefits.
  9. [7:08 PM] Sawai: (only healing, right?)
  10. [7:08 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Knowing that the nightmare was fought back, at least for the time being, should feasibly improve your mood.
  11. [7:08 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (For you - spending some time to heal, yes)
  12. NEW MESSAGES
  13. [7:08 PM] Sawai: (I think I was already full health, since something healed me yesterday)
  14. [7:09 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The road ahead is a short one, especially with spirits lifted.
  15. [7:09 PM] §upposition: Denalthir lay disinterestedly in the back of the rolling wagon. Dragon slayers? Couldn't care less, but surely this has been a fun diversion for the moment.
  16. [7:10 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: You... Have arrived at your destination. A towering building, much like a fortress or perhaps a castle, situated on a hill. Its gate is closed, with a few signs of war marring the otherwise pristine walls.
  17. [7:11 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Some of the windows for the fortress-like building are open, with guards attending to their post.
  18. [7:11 PM] Faerie: (Before I forget)
  19. [7:11 PM] Faerie: roll 1d10+2
  20. [7:11 PM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d10+2]: 4, Result: 6
  21. [7:11 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: One hails you. "Halt! - Are you reinforcements?" He seems to be rather happy to see you.
  22. [7:11 PM] Runic: Lexon claps, "Now this... is a fortress"
  23.
  24. [7:12 PM] §upposition: Denalthir stretches and slowly...slowly makes her way out of the wagon.
  25. [7:12 PM] §upposition: "Hnnnnng, gaaaaaah"
  26. [7:12 PM] §upposition: (Stretching noises)
  27. [7:12 PM] Runic: "Uhmm, I'll let one of you guys handle it"
  28. [7:12 PM] Runic: Lexon hides back into the wagon
  29. [7:12 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Please, wait a moment - we'll open the gate for you momentarily!" He shouts something to his companions, and after a short wate, the giant gate swings open slowly, with a groan like an ancient wizard stirring awake...
  30. [7:13 PM] Faerie: ''Strange, I thought the surrounding landscape would look a lot more hectic.''
  31. [7:13 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The area indeed doesn't look too great, Razmik. There are signs of battle, dead orcs that haven't been carried away, arrows, a few scattered boulders...
  32. [7:14 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: But inside the gate, it looks ... Fine.
  33. [7:14 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: It does not seem like the orcs were able to breach their gate yet.
  34. [7:14 PM] Faerie: Razmik steps up, looking at the partly uninterested Denalthir, and shifts to the standing guard.
  35. [7:14 PM] Sawai: (suspicious?)
  36.
  37. [7:15 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: A small contingent of guards are there to greet you, and the supplies that Illiad hands over with directions on where the good came from.
  38. [7:15 PM] Faerie: ''I take it you've managed to hold them off from entering the monastery, for the time being? That's... admirable, quite.'', Razmik comments while shifting his weight from one foot to another.
  39. [7:15 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: roll 1d20
  40. [7:15 PM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d20]: 17, Result: 17
  41. [7:15 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: roll 1d100
  42. [7:15 PM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d100]: 40, Result: 40
  43. [7:16 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Aye, though we suffer losses - their mounted aerial knights are something else, especially when they employed alchemical fire." The nameless guard reports. "Thankfully, the monastery's build witih stone, which doesn't burn easily..."(edited)
  44. [7:17 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: There's a moment of silent in the handling over of goods... Before a cheer.
  45. [7:18 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: You notice that the guards are regarding you with an elevated level of fervor.
  46. [7:18 PM] §upposition: Denalthir crouches by the wagon and stretches her sore legs while the guards exchange words
  47. [7:18 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: One hurried in, deeper into the monastery, as the guards welcome you warmly, talking about how you have slain a dragon. "Oh, you have... slain the dragon that has been sieging the castle? Thank the divines for your arrival!"
  48. [7:19 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "The white dragon has been blasting our wall for days, seemingly on command of the orcs" The guard explains, excited at meeting real dragonslayers - heroes in legend.
  49. [7:20 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Recelle scratches her cheek a bit, embarrassed.
  50. [7:20 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: You are directed to a room setup for meetings, instead of the barracks, as it seem that the commander wishes to meet you.
  51. [7:21 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: You... are otherwise free to roam around the monastery first.
  52. [7:21 PM] Sawai: Stands next to Recelle, in Alicia's absence
  53.
  54. [7:21 PM] §upposition: Denalthir seeks water, first and foremost
  55. [7:22 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: You are given fine treatment, Denalthir - water is plentiful and refreshing here.
  56. [7:22 PM] Runic: Lexon gets out of the wagon, with a smile on him, he wanders the monastery hoping to find what he came here for, some monks and watch them punch things
  57. [7:23 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Exploring the monastery a bit, you see signs of ascetics - some of which are tending to soldiers that are wounded, often of arrow or otherwise blasts of cold from the said dragon.
  58. [7:24 PM] §upposition: She gulps down bit before rejoining the rest quietly
  59. [7:24 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: There are, indeed, a few training with each other, with their fists, or with quarterstaffs.
  60. [7:24 PM] Faerie: Before (probably) taking a trip around the monastery, Razmik has a word with the guards about the shipment they just got, and the half-elf supposed to deliver it.
  61. [7:25 PM] Faerie: He promised the man they'd bring him to the monastery safe and sound, and entrust him to the care of high-command for as long as it'd be immediately dangerous to set foot outside.
  62. [7:25 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The cart driver seems to be relieved to have arrived in one piece, but he expresses concern and wishes to return to Windsmere as soon as possible - possibly to pack and leave the region?
  63. [7:25 PM] Runic: Lexon sits down, trying not to disturb anyone, and closley observes them punching eachother
  64. [7:25 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: That being said, he agrees with you on the matter.
  65. [7:26 PM] Faerie: (Boy, Lexon really is a dorf!)
  66. [7:26 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The monks does not seem to be practicing with much force behind their strikes, nor does the flow of combat seems particularily hard for you to follow with your eyes. Except for key moments, where their arms seem to blur, as they contest key moments in their exchange.
  67. [7:27 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The ones with staves occasionally chants as they exchange clashes and clangs of wood.
  68. [7:27 PM] Faerie: ''First and foremost'', Razmik has the party listen for a bit: ''how come we heard nothing about the dragon until it landed right in front of us? Don't you think that's a bit strange?'', taking special care to not mention anything related to its seemingly nightmarish properties.
  69. [7:28 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Lexon, please give me an Investigation.
  70. [7:29 PM] Runic: (Just the normal 1d20 roll + wis mod?)
  71. [7:30 PM] Faerie: (Think so, unless you also are proficient in it)
  72. [7:30 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Investigation is base on intelligence.
  73. [7:30 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: You have no proficiency, so... -1
  74. [7:30 PM] Runic: (>-1)
  75. [7:30 PM] Runic: (Fug)
  76. [7:30 PM] §upposition: Denalthir yawns. "Oh? I figured I may have just missed it while resting."
  77. [7:31 PM] Runic: Lexon focuses entirely on the monks practicing their unarmed fighting, closely observing their movements to understand them
  78. [7:31 PM] Runic: roll 1d20-1
  79. [7:31 PM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d20-1]: 2, Result: 1
  80. [7:31 PM] Runic: (pffffft)
  81. [7:31 PM] Sawai: ( ... )
  82. [7:31 PM] §upposition: (lmao)
  83. [7:31 PM] Sawai: ( can anyone else roll?)
  84. [7:32 PM] §upposition: (Lexon's rolling to investigate monks I think)
  85. [7:32 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: It seems that the monks are indeed practicing their arts.
  86. [7:32 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Well.
  87. [7:32 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: You also have no idea how they are doing those things.
  88. [7:33 PM] Runic: Lexon closes his eyes, put hand to his chin, and gives a couple of nods, "I get it now" he says
  89. [7:33 PM] Runic: 'I totally don't get it' Lexon thinks in his head
  90. [7:33 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Princess, what would you be doing?
  91. [7:34 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Razmik seems to wish to discuss about the happenings regarding the dragon.
  92. [7:34 PM] Faerie: (Feelio when gotta talk to people about things happening :sadpopo:)
  93.
  94. [7:36 PM] Sawai: Intends to watch brawns for brains discuss before taking action. Maybe even he could get the message across.
  95. [7:36 PM] Runic: Lexon decides to to get up, satisfied with his time watching monks punch each other, even if there wasn't anything being broken, and decides to head to the meeting room to focus on more important matters
  96. [7:37 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: It's likely that the group ... regroups, then?
  97. [7:37 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Alright.
  98. [7:37 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Given the news of your arrival, the commander in charge of the situation meets you.
  99. [7:38 PM] Faerie: (Brawn for brains... oh, fugg me, the Princess' INT mod is +2 ;_;)
  100. [7:38 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: He seems to be young for one in command of a battlefield, with bags under his eyes and signs of much fatigue and weariness.
  101. [7:39 PM] Faerie: ''Hail. Would you happen to be Commander...''
  102. [7:39 PM] Faerie: (TIP OF HIS TONGUE RIP)
  103. [7:39 PM] Faerie: (Wait, can I roll to remember his name? :sadpopo:)
  104. [7:39 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Sporting shot, grey hair, and wearing finery and sigil of a nobility, he nods toward Razmik as he was greeted. "Good day, yes, ah. Bright..." He seems a bit exhausted.
  105. [7:40 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "... Nhari of the Bright family." He quickly catches himself. "... Apologies, t'was a bit rough the past few days."
  106. [7:41 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Please, sit down - I heard good news from the soldiers, that you've defeated the white dragon?"
  107.
  108. [7:42 PM] Faerie: Bright. Right. Offering a slight smile, he heeds his invitation and fixes himself to the nearest chair.
  109. [7:42 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Nhari himself sits down, almost seemingly ready to collapse in the chair.
  110. [7:42 PM] Runic: Lexon pulls out one of the chairs and casually takes a seat
  111. [7:42 PM] Faerie: ''Understandable'', he thought. These past few days seemed to have lasted an eternity, fickle as time within dreams can be.
  112. [7:43 PM] §upposition: Denalthir sits toward the back of the rest, remaining reserved and listening passively
  113. [7:44 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Between the dragon and vultures and ogres..." He shakes his head. "... Sorry. But welcome to Weatherlight Monastery, the oldest monastery in the region, dedicated to the Wind... and being comissioned for defense against the surprise orc attack."
  114.
  115. [7:45 PM] Faerie: ''It would seem to be that way, Sir, although some of the people responsible for its downfall couldn't make it here on this hour. They had some... side business to take care of, shouldn't take much time.''
  116. [7:46 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Third Mixed Tactics Battalion... Well, I suppose you would be just Third Battalion now. Understandable, the specialized troops gotta do what they gotta do." He smiles understandingly.
  117. [7:46 PM] Faerie: This seemed like a good opportunity to gather as much information as the group could. That was interesting: 'comissioned' to defend the area?(edited)
  118. [7:47 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Sort of." Nhari answers. "The monks graciously offered this location, in lieu of the orcs and the princess here."
  119. [7:48 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "... The princess herself is, by all intents of the noble family, just a Weatherlight Monk, you understand, so it was more of a deal, officially, that we are cooperating with the Weatherlight Monks in defense of the region..."
  120. [7:48 PM] §upposition: Denalthir nods...slowly...and repeatedly
  121. [7:49 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Nhari sighs, obviously unable to think straight.
  122.
  123. [7:50 PM] Faerie: ''I see. Necessity has ways to bring people together. By the way...'', Razmik takes out the map of the region Alicia had given him a while back. In what direction was Windsmere located, and how far away? This seemed important, now and here.
  124. [7:51 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Southward from the battlefield, 2 weeks march away.
  125. [7:51 PM] Faerie: While looking at the map, Raz takes a moment to speak of the rest of the unit and sing their deserved praises: about what Bucky had done to get here ahead of time, and just how much weight the Windsmerian mortician had to carry. Of course, the rest of the soldiers weren't without merit - a good bit of their past battles would have been unwinnable without their aid.
  126. [7:51 PM] Faerie: (>2 weeks
  127. Oh MAN)
  128. [7:53 PM] Faerie: (>Charisma: 17
  129. Why isn't the Princess doing this :firepopo:)
  130. [7:54 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Yes, everyone have sweated and bled for Windsmere region. The lack of soldiers in the region just because of the distance to the empire..." Nhari shakes his head. "It would've not been necessary if King Falis had... Excuse me." He gives a light cough, and stops the line of thought.
  131. [7:57 PM] §upposition: Nod...Nod...
  132. [7:57 PM] Faerie: Speaking of the King... Realizing himself wholly ignorant of the relevant facts, Razmik appreciated this as a good moment to talk politics.
  133. [7:59 PM] Faerie: In fact, he wasn't even sure why any of this was actually happening. ''One of the raiding orcs...'', he recalled, ''told us of the kingdom's struggle with his kind, over the land.'' It sounded like an a raw deal - too many mouths to feed, and not enough crops, or the like.
  134. [8:00 PM] Faerie: ''What is it that the orcs seek, exactly? We have not heard good things about Arrow-Breaker, but his people seem to actually believe in some sort of cause.''
  135. [8:03 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Well... OF course. It's hard for the orcs to sustain themselves up in the barren mountain. Windsmere is already a cold region to start with, and up in the mountain - only orcs and tempest lives, and I am not sure which one has more fury, even considering the war we are in." Nhari admits. "Were I in their shoes, I would much prefer this land over the mountain range. But that's not the truth that people in the area wishes to hear, right?"
  136. [8:03 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Nhari smiles, exhausted, at Illiad.
  137. [8:03 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Illiad pauses... And nods, but says nothing.
  138. [8:04 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "For the orcs, it's a matter of life and death - not being in this war could mean near-extinction of their tribes. For the locals, this is their home for generations."
  139. [8:04 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "There's no right or wrong in wars, young man." Nhari shakes his head. For a moment, you could almost see the shadow of Lucien doing the same.
  140. [8:05 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "But this is hardly something I should be saying as the commander." Nhari indicates to drop the subject.
  141. [8:07 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Even if the orcs have won, they would be considered as the kingdom's infestation, and be removed after a few years of campaign as Falis Kingdom focus the effort on removing them. Even if they win, there's nothing to be won. The realization of fuility was perhaps what made the Bloodaxe clan truly tried to change their ways.
  142.
  143. [8:08 PM] Faerie: The prospect seemed dire, and Razmik would agreed: who could claim the prerrogative to choose between two civilizations like that? Still, it was possible the Orcs weren't much more eager to wage war than the Windsmere folk, and that was something to keep in mind.
  144.
  145. [8:08 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: In /mind/? You can sense keenly Bloodaxe's sadness.
  146. [8:09 PM] Kaperis: (I'm here now, lemme catch up.)
  147. [8:09 PM] Runic: (Oh hi there Kap)
  148. [8:09 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: John. You feel a bit disoriented... Lightheaded. But you are in a chain, in a meeting room, and have heard of what happened in the last few moments.
  149. [8:09 PM] Faerie: ''Falis Kingdom, sir... how big are we talking?''
  150. [8:09 PM] Faerie: (Hello!)
  151. [8:09 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Perhaps the commander has only been talking with what he assumed to be the temporary leader of the Battalion. Or nobody else spoke up?
  152. [8:10 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "... Erm." Nhari scratches his hair.
  153. [8:10 PM] Faerie: (Yeah, pls gibb talks)
  154. [8:10 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "King Falis, the Conqueror, father of Ninety-Nine daughters and sons."
  155. [8:11 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "From sea to sea, and beyond the waves, to the tip of mountains and the darkness below, all are in the rule of the Conqueror."
  156. [8:11 PM] Faerie: ''I see. That title sure gives you a sense of scale.'' Razmik urged his companions to chime in. ''We're not here to decide on the future of this nation, but we'll need to act in accord.''
  157. [8:11 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "We... Have one Kingdom in this world, kid. You some sort of dimensional traveller?" Nhair chuckles, jesting.
  158. [8:12 PM] Faerie: (Nervous laughter.png)
  159. [8:12 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Well, wouldn't be the first time, isn't that so, fair lady?" Nhari smiles charmingly at Recelle.
  160. [8:12 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Recelle blinks for a moment, looking at the Princess.
  161.
  162.
  163. [8:13 PM] Sawai: Looks confused back at Recelle
  164. [8:13 PM] Faerie: (I was thinking about that - what's the deal between the kingdom and this place's flavor of Elves? Someone ask, gotta bathroom)(edited)
  165. [8:14 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "... No, no, you, silly Stellar Elf." Nhair chuckles and shakes his head. "Anyways, I won't question who you chose as companions or recruit - Unlike the other older nobles, I am openminded enough to consider you as a welcomed member of the kingdom." He gives a small bow to Recelle, who seems a bit flustered, having a noble behaving like that for her.
  166. [8:15 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: But Recelle quickly collects herself from the charm of the nobleman.
  167. [8:17 PM] Kaperis: (Ok, caught up.)
  168. [8:18 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (In a /CHAIR/ by the way)
  169. [8:18 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (I just caught my typo)
  170. [8:18 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (I am as tired as the dude is :sadpopo: )
  171. [8:19 PM] Faerie: Well. "Pardon my ignorance -as you can probably infer, we Mixed Tactics types aren't incredibly versed in matters like this-, but what exactly is the Kingdom's formal stance on our Elvish friend's kind?"
  172. [8:19 PM] §upposition: Nod...Nod...
  173. [8:19 PM] Faerie: (Chair memes engage)
  174. [8:19 PM] §upposition: (denalthir is literally nodding off while listening)
  175. [8:19 PM] Kaperis: (>John was gone when everyone got here >"Uh, which one dealt the final blow, again?" >"I think it was the Paladin." >"No, wasn't it that kid with his magic sling?")
  176. [8:20 PM] Kaperis: (>Henceforth nobody remembers John slew a dragon)
  177. [8:20 PM] Faerie: (Our troops do :sadpopo:)
  178. [8:20 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Nhari chuckles, relaxing a bit. "Well, there's nothing to it - there are even a half-Stellar Elf in the noble family, but some of the old farts, ahem, more distinguished members of the nobility decides that they are no good, and too alien for us."(edited)
  179. [8:21 PM] Kaperis: John continues to stand at attention, trying to act like he's been listening intently while scrambling through his fractured memories of the dream.
  180. [8:22 PM] Faerie: Razmik was glad they were speaking to this Nhari noble, things could have gotten awkward otherwise!
  181. [8:22 PM] Kaperis: (Did anyone bring up the other princess?)
  182. [8:23 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (not even the princess, no. :sadpopo: )
  183. [8:23 PM] Sawai: (there is only one princess! :flamingpopo: )
  184. [8:23 PM] Sawai: (fraud!)
  185. [8:23 PM] Faerie: (She's considered another ascetic as far as the monastery's concerned, but haven't asked any specifics yet)
  186. [8:23 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (The king has about 50. :sadpopo: )
  187. [8:23 PM] Faerie: (Oh... oh man.)
  188. [8:23 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Father of ninety-nine is literal.)
  189. [8:24 PM] Kaperis: (It happens when one kingdom successfully unites the known world. Anyway, Nhari's title and/or rank is?)
  190. [8:24 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (As far as you know, Commander, and title of.. ???)
  191. [8:25 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Duke? Baron? Marquis? Baconator?)(edited)
  192. [8:26 PM] Runic: (>Baconator)
  193. [8:26 PM] Runic: (Fuggin hell Koga :sadpopo: )
  194. [8:26 PM] Runic: (I wonder if I can get one from Wendy's in the morning :sadpopo: )
  195.
  196. [8:27 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: ( :sadpopo: )
  197. [8:27 PM] Kaperis: John clears his throat lightly. "Please excuse me, sir-- erm, I mean milord. Is it true that Her Royal Highness was here as well?"
  198. [8:28 PM] Kaperis: John thinks he nailed the style of address. It's been years since he practiced that!
  199. [8:29 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Call me Nhari if you wish - no need to be too formal when you might be the only one capable to keep us all alive." As for the princess... "... Well, Lyria? Yeah. She's the reason that I am here, after all. She's out there in the frontline, even though I kept telling her not to..."
  200. [8:33 PM] Faerie: Everyone in the area seemed to stress her role as yet another monk in service of the monastery, and Razmik would respect that.
  201. [8:34 PM] Faerie: Meanwhile, he eyes the rest of the party - what do they seem to be doing? And jesus christ, was Denalthir doozing off?
  202. [8:34 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "She holds the sword, Legacy of Morninglord, and is a practitioner of the Weatherlight sword style... She should be better off than rest of us, if nothing goes wrong, but..." Nhari sighs. "Lyria has always been a bit hotheaded in the past... I am afraid that without guidance she would be too rash out there."
  203. [8:34 PM] Faerie: (>Morninglord
  204. TRIGGERED)
  205. [8:35 PM] Kaperis: "--Oh, right! Si-- erm, Nhari, did the message get through all right?" John isn't sure whether Bucky was intercepted en route to the monastery, or was merely on his return trip.
  206. [8:36 PM] Faerie: ''A swordsman!'', Razmik notes. Not the first weapon that comes to mind when one pictures an ascetic, but nothing to underestimate in the hands of someone trained.
  207. [8:36 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Yeah. The young lad - Bucky was his name, right? He was most proficient in getting past the gate... which was... shut..."
  208. [8:36 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "... and under siege by orcs..."
  209. [8:36 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: ... Nhari shrugs.
  210. [8:37 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "I mistaken him for an adventurer, but he told me he was a mere farmhand!"
  211. [8:37 PM] Kaperis: "He's pretty amazing, it's true." John nods, his tone indicating a statement of fact rather than flattery.
  212. [8:38 PM] Faerie: ''Oh, better not to think too much about it. See, when we were fighting that dragon- ahem, maybe not now.'' Razmik coughs, fighting the urge to tell the Commander what had happened back then. ''It makes for quite a story, though, let me tell you.''(edited)
  213. [8:39 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Hey, when everything's over, we can go get a drink back down in Windsmere. I know a place, and stuff." Nhari laughs.
  214. [8:40 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The talk seems to have lifted his spirit, by a bit.
  215. [8:40 PM] Faerie: 'When everything's over', Razmik liked the sound of that. Always good to keep one's head up!
  216. [8:41 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Yes, yes. It would be bad to get too ahead of oneself, but in situation like this, it's best to keep one's head held high.
  217. [8:42 PM] Faerie: ''By the way, Nhari-'' Trying to open up a bit to the Command-man, Razmik expresses some concern over his obvious state of fatigue. ''You look like you haven't slept in a week, would I be right?''
  218. [8:43 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Just 4 days." Nhari shrugs. "Every four hours or so, the blasted dragon would fly by and blast the wall and soldiers with its dragonbreath."
  219. [8:43 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "I had my hands full."
  220. [8:44 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Fortunately, up here, the only type of dragon for the orcs to befriend was White. If it was anything but cold breath, I am not sure how long the wall would've held."
  221. [8:45 PM] Faerie: ''Iliad here got his scales good, he did! It doesn't seem like we'll have any more run-offs like that with dragons.'', for a second, Razmik thinks back to the mortician working on the beast's remains. ''Even managed to get a suit of armor off the thing, somehow.''(edited)
  222. [8:46 PM] Faerie: (I mean, how did he actually do that? :sadpopo:)
  223.
  224. [8:46 PM] Kaperis: (With OP luck powers!)
  225. [8:46 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (It's actually still in material form.)
  226. [8:46 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Will be ready by the end of the day.)
  227. [8:46 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: ( :smugpopo: )
  228. [8:46 PM] Faerie: (AHH.)
  229. [8:46 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Illiad snickers a bit.
  230. [8:47 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Don't underestimate a mortician." You hear him whisper sofftly beside you, John.
  231.
  232.
  233. [8:47 PM] Kaperis: John decides to get business out of the way so the man can rest. "Anyway, like the letter said, we think the orcs could've diverted forces to our old post. I heard some deserted after the dragon fell, but... it might be a good idea to send scouts? Bucky could do it, but we've just had a difficult march."
  234. [8:49 PM] Kaperis: "On a related note, has there been any word from high command? How is the defense faring?"
  235. [8:50 PM] Faerie: Wise words from the guard. Razmik adds, hoping for the best, ''On that note, do any nearby outposts still remain? Do our forces have anything in the way of warning us of an orcish frontal assault?''
  236. [8:50 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Ah well... " Nhari is a bit hesitant. "... What if I tell you that, your former commander wasn't exactly acting on our command?"
  237. [8:52 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "... We are holding this monastery both because its a fortress, and the Blessing of Wind - the four Weatherlight Monastery in the far corners of the world all hold its Blessing. Blessing of Wind let the troop travel much faster, and if it were to fall to orc hands... Then the matter isn't just Windsmere."
  238. [8:53 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "... That, and we can hit the orcs much more reliably with the Blessing on our back." Nhari states. "If they decide to march for Windsmere, we'll be able to reach them from behind... Not that with our size it would be of much help."
  239. [8:53 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "... The higher commands..." Nhari looks away for a moment.
  240. [8:54 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Let's... Just say that Lyria's a hothead back in the days when she was still a princess, and some of her brothers and sisters held grudge. I am here, not because I was ordered."
  241. [8:55 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: ... "Nearby outposts - Nothing good, we have too little men out there. The monks are doing their best to keep the troops alive, with their magical... Y'know, that /ki/ thing." Nhari motions for something that seems suspeciously like Lay on Hand for you, Razmik.
  242. [8:56 PM] Faerie: HMMMM...
  243. [8:56 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "But despite everything, we are outnumbered worse than 3 to 1, and orcs are stronger physically to start with."
  244. [8:56 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "They are able to live in the mountain of tempest and windstorm, if nothing else."
  245. [8:57 PM] Kaperis: John soaks this in, nodding slowly. Is there really magic that can reach a whole army like that? How does it work? This is a strange world, indeed. Regardless, John doesn't seem fazed by the bad news in the least. Just another day on the job, right...?
  246. [8:57 PM] Kaperis: ... No, actually, this is suicide. But he can't let it get to him.
  247. [8:59 PM] Faerie: ''Well, permission to speak freely, but it... doesn't sound like our King has the Kingdom's filial affairs in a good position. That's regrettable.'' Still, some sort of Blessing that lets whole armies rally like it was nothing?
  248. [8:59 PM] Kaperis: (Runic and Sawai ded?)
  249. [9:00 PM] Faerie: Had it been them on the offensive instead, that would have proved to be incredibly useful.
  250. [9:00 PM] Kaperis: (Also >Sword using monks dedicated to the wind)
  251. [9:00 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "The King's... old." Nhari Bright shrugs helplessly. "As the magic maintaining his immortality runs out, he's about ready to pass on... But his children are... Well."
  252. [9:00 PM] Kaperis: (inb4 MW Bastard Swords*)(edited)
  253. [9:01 PM] Faerie: (Dude, they can Lay on Hands. Totally an order)
  254. [9:01 PM] Faerie: (>Masterwork Bastard Swords* (edited)
  255. Fuck, you got me good)
  256. [9:03 PM] Faerie: (Thank fuck, I thought he had fathered that many children over a normal lifespan.)
  257. [9:03 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (... you don't understand, he probably did.)
  258. [9:03 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (It takes one man to lay 99 women.)
  259. [9:03 PM] Faerie: (YEAH BUT HOW ARE YOU GONNA HAVE 99 QUEENS)
  260. [9:04 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Who said anything about one queen?)
  261. [9:04 PM] Faerie: (:sadpopo:)
  262. [9:05 PM] Faerie: (Oh, what was that thing we killed earlier with the one-use rune charm? An ogre?)
  263. [9:05 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Ogre.)
  264. [9:06 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Anyhow, you have leave to rest for the night, if nothing else." Nhari notes. "If you have anything to report, I am here. If you have any gossips... I am here. Thanks to you slaying the dragon, I have some free time to relax before orcs."
  265.
  266. [9:07 PM] §upposition: Denalthir's hand seems to be scribbling at the table, her head limp
  267. [9:09 PM] Sawai: My internet died :sadpopo:
  268. [9:09 PM] Sawai: ohayou...
  269. [9:09 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Princess please!
  270. [9:09 PM] Kaperis: Something clicks in John's head. This... can't be THAT king, right? John thinks back to miniature king on the table. "Out of curiosity... how did the King become so powerful? I, uh, used to skip history class."
  271.
  272. [9:09 PM] Faerie: Well, that sure sounded like there was trouble ahead, to Razmik. ''I don't believe we have been given any further orders, Nhari.'' In Razmik's mind, it was either help keep the monastery secure, or meet up with the Princess where they'd surely be needed most.
  273.
  274. [9:09 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Huh? Oh, King Falis was an adventurer in his younger days..."
  275. [9:10 PM] Faerie: ''Uh, out of curiosity... does the King smoke? You know... as in, from any pipe of sorts.''
  276. [9:10 PM] Faerie: (Sawai, please)
  277. [9:10 PM] Kaperis: (To save us the trouble of digging up logs: same name? Denalthir knew his name, I think.)
  278. [9:11 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Different name)
  279.
  280. [9:11 PM] Kaperis: (Hmkay, good, less awkward.)
  281. [9:11 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (I didn't keep the first log :sadpopo: )
  282.
  283. [9:12 PM] Faerie: (One of us is gonna have to go dig for that long one of these days, auugh)
  284. [9:12 PM] Faerie: (Discord really needs a way to access past dates)
  285. [9:13 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "... Smoke? Well... maybe."
  286. [9:14 PM] Sawai: (heeeeeeeeeeeeeelp)
  287. [9:14 PM] Sawai: (my internet keeps dying :sadpopo: )
  288. [9:14 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: ".... Hey, we should just all be glad that he declined one of the queen's offer to turn him into a Lich."
  289. [9:14 PM] Sawai: (that doesn't usually happen)
  290. [9:14 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (D:)
  291. [9:14 PM] Sawai: (it's usually super stable)
  292.
  293. [9:14 PM] Sawai: (at first it just died, I restarted everything and it was back)
  294. [9:14 PM] Kaperis: John looks unsurprised. An adventurer conquering the world... if they were anything like the ones John's met, he shudders to imagine it. Present company excluded, of course!(edited)
  295. [9:14 PM] Sawai: (which happens maybe once a month)
  296. [9:14 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "The Kingdom would be very different if King Falis decide to become immortal THAT way."
  297. [9:14 PM] Sawai: (but it disappeared again and was acting wird...)
  298. [9:15 PM] Sawai: (but it's good now, maybe :sadpopo: )
  299. [9:15 PM] Faerie: ''You... really hear a lot about smoking these days, huh? I mean, it sure sounds like a kingly thing to do!'', Razmik shits, bull, laughing.
  300.
  301. [9:15 PM] Faerie: (>present company excluded
  302. cough cough)
  303. [9:15 PM] Kaperis: (Don't worry Sawai, it's perfectly natural. Do you want mom to show you how the pad works?)
  304. [9:15 PM] Faerie: (Did your subjects remember to pay the bills in time?)
  305. [9:16 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Anyways... Anything else?" Nhari smiles weakly. "I can use a meeting with the pillow and bed, if you know what I mean?"
  306. [9:16 PM] Faerie: (Oh my god)
  307.
  308. [9:16 PM] Sawai: (bully! :cryingpopo: )
  309. [9:17 PM] Faerie: ''Ah, yeah. It's a rather simple question, in fact. What would you say are the prospects of having to meet orcs at our doorstep tonight, now that their dragon lies dead and they know of it?''
  310. [9:17 PM] Kaperis: "Oh, sorry! Yes, thanks for the help."
  311. [9:18 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Umm." Nhari shrugs. "I don't know, but without a living siege weapon like a DRAGON, I think we are going to be just fine."
  312.
  313. [9:19 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: roll 1d100
  314. [9:19 PM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d100]: 99, Result: 99
  315. [9:19 PM] Runic: (wew)
  316. [9:19 PM] Runic: (don't know what it's for but it was almost a perfect roll)
  317. [9:20 PM] Faerie: ''Right, right. I understand how tired you must be,'' actually, Razmik didn't -4 days without sleep sounded downright inhuman- offering a bow to Nhari, he requests: ''It would be a real help if you could show me to the injured. I'm sure we can leave the sick to Illiad's capable hands, but, well, I'm prepared to offer some aid.''
  318. [9:20 PM] Sawai: (sorry, I kind of fell out of it thanks to internet issues... )
  319. [9:20 PM] Faerie: Razmik still had quite a bit of juice left in him, both in the form of Cure Wounds and his touch.
  320. [9:20 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "That would be a simple matter. I thank you for your aids." Nhari offers a polite nod in return, and have the guard show you what you requires.
  321. [9:21 PM] Faerie: (You missed literally nothing but talking)
  322. [9:21 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: ( pets the princess )
  323. [9:21 PM] Kaperis: John salutes. "I'm not a trained officer, but please let me know if there is anything I can do to help while you rest!"
  324. [9:21 PM] Sawai: (well, I probably should have contributed to talking :sadpopo: )
  325. [9:22 PM] Faerie: (Well, that's two castings of Cure Wounds and 15 HP from Lay on Hands, so hopefully it does something. Unnamed monks and soldiers can't have much HP, right?)
  326. [9:22 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Well, go to the shrine and be Blessed by the Wind first." Nhari offers. "It'll help you survive, if nothing else. I personally won't say anything, even if you decide to... y'know." He looks aside. "I am here and here I stand, because Windsmere, and... Lyria, is important to me. I don't necessarily require that of anyone."
  327. [9:23 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: You'd be able to pick a few injured soldiers up - and 15 is 15 stabilized.
  328. [9:23 PM] Faerie: (As in, 15 people? Sweet.)
  329. [9:23 PM] Kaperis: (Not exactly! Most grunts are just NPCs. They don't have a class fit for a hero -- like the ones PCs use. Monk, however, IS a PC class!)
  330. [9:24 PM] §upposition: A gentle bang echoes from the desk slightly and Denalthir jerks her head up. "Ah, uhuh, will do sir!" she quickly stammers out
  331. [9:24 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Nhari chuckles.
  332. [9:24 PM] Faerie: (Hm, that's true!)
  333. [9:27 PM] Kaperis: "Understood, sir! --Whoops, sorry." John doesn't sound like he's about to desert, at least.
  334. [9:28 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Nhari leaves after a nod, presumably to rest, if there's no other matter.
  335. [9:28 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The matter remains, what will you do now?
  336. [9:28 PM] Kaperis: John asks for directions to the shrine. He's curious about seeing how this thing operates.
  337.
  338. [9:29 PM] Sawai: Wants to rest and have a nice meal.
  339. [9:29 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The shrine is centrally located in the monastery.
  340. [9:29 PM] Faerie: He did not know about anyone else - 'cept John, John sounded enthusiastic as always -, but Razmik hoped his words had made his mind known to the rest of the table.
  341. [9:29 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: You are able to have what the monastery is able to offer, which ... isn't much, but it's warm and invigorating.
  342. [9:30 PM] §upposition: Denalthir goes with John to the Shrine, assuming she agreed to go at some point; she's not sure.
  343. [9:30 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: It's a pillar of gentle light within a small well with seemingly no buttom, and reaches the ceiling. There's a flow of air from the well, seemingly flowing out constantly.
  344. [9:30 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: A monk is there attending to the shrine.
  345. [9:30 PM] Kaperis: John, for one, is glad a white dragon attacked, because its breath kept the cabbages fresh! Dragon, huh. Still can't get used to that.
  346. [9:31 PM] Kaperis: ... They'll be hard to thaw out, though.
  347. [9:31 PM] Kaperis: (Oh, wait, lemme delete that line if that's not how the [Nightmare] works.)
  348. [9:32 PM] Kaperis: (Since the "dragon" we fought was not using ice breath.)
  349. [9:32 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "May the elemental Air guide you." The monk greets you, before directing you to "rinse" your hand in the flow of air. When you do, you feel as if the wind catches onto you, giving you a ... Slight lift in your step.
  350. [9:33 PM] Faerie: ''Well, was anyone expecting something like this?'' Sure, it didn't look like a shrine, but the wind here seemed almost visible.
  351. [9:33 PM] Faerie: (Is it time to go fast?)
  352. [9:34 PM] §upposition: Denalthir does as instructed and feels said lightness
  353. [9:34 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: For 1 week within the Nightmare, you are Blessed by Wind. Your movement speed is faster by 30 feet, and you are constantly under Freedom of Movement, as per the spell. "Unbound, as the Wind.". You are also able to Fly for 1 minute (10 rounds) per day.
  354. [9:34 PM] Runic: (someone say FAST?)
  355. [9:34 PM] Faerie: (>FREEDOM

  358. [9:34 PM] Sawai: (?)
  359. [9:34 PM] Faerie: (HAHAHAHA TIME TO GRAPPLE EVERYTHING)
  360. [9:35 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Your flight speed is equal to your enhanced land movement speed, forgot to note.)
  361. [9:35 PM] Runic: (you can move your body fweewy, no longer tied down!)
  362. [9:35 PM] Faerie: http://puu.sh/rUKbl/a496c50524.jpg

  365. [9:35 PM] Kaperis: (Sawai: Freedom of Movement makes you a literal Houdini. Chains fall loose, handcuffs break.)
  366. [9:35 PM] Sawai: ( :surprisedpopo: )(edited)
  367. [9:36 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Tentacles can't bind you down!)
  368. [9:36 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Wait, wrong campaign)
  369. [9:36 PM] Sawai: ( :sadpopo: )

  378. [9:37 PM] §upposition: (Why aren't there flying monks outside)
  379. [9:37 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (>1 minute)
  380. [9:37 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (There's no Feather Fall clause there, by the way)
  381. [9:37 PM] §upposition: (Ah)
  382. [9:37 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Don't say I didn't warn you. I said Fly, not "Fly, as per the spell" like Freedom of Movement.)
  383.
  384. [9:39 PM] Kaperis: John hops on his tiptoes a few times to test it. He does definitely feel lighter! The Watch could really use something like this, but religious practices aren't allowed while on duty.(edited)
  385. [9:41 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The monk bows at John, silently.
  386. [9:43 PM] Kaperis: He thanks the monk and exits the shrine. With that done, John finds himself in the bizzare position of having some free time.
  387. [9:43 PM] Faerie: It was a pity he couldn't chant nearly as fast as he could move now, but Razmik felt positively agile, even under all that armor and carrying all those encumbersome weapons. After thanking the monk profusely, he steps out of the shrine to weigh their options (at double his normal walking speed!).
  388.
  389. [9:45 PM] §upposition: Denalthir simply bows and walks out silently, following the others
  390. [9:45 PM] Kaperis: "....." John thought he was following Denalthir.
  391. [9:45 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Recelle tests the water - erm, air - for a bit, feeling the weight away from her body as she floats, then take flight for a moment.
  392. [9:45 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: At least she seems happy!
  393. [9:46 PM] Sawai: Is still following Recelle
  394. [9:46 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Illiad and rest of the soldiers aren't stranger to love, you know th to the blessing, it seems, and quickly... organizes for rest and preparation.
  395.
  396. [9:47 PM] Runic: Is wandering around aimlessly
  397. [9:47 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Recelle will hold onto the princess's hand and twirl with her in the air a bit, almost like two fairies in the air.
  398. [9:47 PM] Sawai: (kogapls)
  399. [9:47 PM] Sawai: ( :surprisedpopo: )
  400. [9:47 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Though that might be a touchy subject considering nature of the Nightmares.
  401.
  402. [9:48 PM] Faerie: After rushing off to find Illiad (at incredibly high speeds, mind you), Razmik is eager to ask about plans for the following day. Where to, to find the Princess and the frontlines?
  403. [9:48 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Erm."
  404. [9:48 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Illiad shrugs.
  405. [9:48 PM] Faerie: ''Wait, we, uh, we ARE going to meet up with her troops, right?''
  406. [9:48 PM] Faerie: (Koga pls)
  407.
  408. [9:49 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "I am completely alright with whatever - we delivered the supplies and, in a way, resupplied." Illiad says.
  409. [9:49 PM] Kaperis: "Sssso, uh..." John blanks for a moment. They were marching today, so that means no drills 'till later. "Anyone know how to play cards?"
  410. [9:49 PM] Sawai: Wonders why anyone would care about some other supposed-princess, when she is there.
  411. [9:51 PM] Kaperis: (We're supposed to decide for ourselves, Faerie. This is how adventurers normally do quests.)
  412. [9:53 PM] Runic: "Not too knowledgeable about card games but I'm up for a round" Lexon says appearing out of nowhere
  413. [9:53 PM] Faerie: (Welp fuck.)
  414. [9:53 PM] Faerie: (I mean, we COULD sit here all snug, or something)
  415. [9:54 PM] Sawai: "Pfft, peasants.", snarks at the suggestion(edited)
  416. [9:54 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (A reminder: You can always run off the beaten path, if you have a plan.)
  417. [9:54 PM] Runic: (They got stuff I can steal?)
  418. [9:54 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (In fact, sometimes the solution is to not follow the machination of one who wrote the script to the Nightmares.)
  419. [9:54 PM] Kaperis: "Not for real money, of course, since that's... uh, actually, never mind." Damn it, now everyone will know his horribly mundane vice.
  420. [9:54 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Mostly, but against other players, you have the chance of "As they wish")
  421. [9:55 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Social and most interactions are on the point of "Up to the individual players" here.)
  422. [9:55 PM] Runic: (mhm mhm gotcha)
  423. [9:55 PM] Faerie: ''It is strange to be saying this as a mercenary, and yet after getting all the way here I can do nothing but request this:'' Razmik pleads to the good Illiad, more as a formality than anything. ''If our troops are to travel to the frontline, I would like for me too be taken there as well. There's still much to do, and I would like to think I'll be of help.''
  424. [9:56 PM] Faerie: ''Any objections, commander?'' That sounded way cooler in Raz's mind, but as far as he was concerned, Illiad played the part well; he was the one calling the shots after that poor sod got a bolt to the throat, after all.
  425. [9:57 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Erm, well..." Illiad scratches his head. "It's more of... I am not sure, actually. I am, after all, just a mortician and a town guard, at the end of the day, you realize? I don't have a grand plan to save the princess or slay the orc chieftain to save the world, or anything. If I do, I wouldn't be just a town guard."
  426. [9:57 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "My way would just be a frontal assault and retreating when it gets too rough."
  427. [9:57 PM] Kaperis: ... As John proceeds to seem less interesting, he rapidly begins to vanish in plain sight. He was a rogue all along! Oh, wait, no, there he is. Just... being there, I guess. Oh, he's gone again.
  428. [9:57 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: ( :smugpopo: )
  429.
  430. [9:58 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Fortunately for you, the decision seems to be in your hand - Illiad has his own (lack of) plan, but he'd likely listen to you after all that you've been through together.
  431. [9:58 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Recelle is practically yours, so she's tagging along unless told otherwise.
  432. [9:59 PM] Runic: Lexon being curious and all that, has an idea to find what kind of treasure this place has
  433. [9:59 PM] Faerie: (Oh god, are John and Lexon gonna jew everyone out of money? :sadpopo:)
  434. [9:59 PM] Kaperis: We are, strictly speaking, still collectively his commanding officer.
  435. [9:59 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: That is correct as well, unless there's officially some sort of restructuring.
  436. [9:59 PM] Runic: "Hey you guys don't mind if I snoop around this place and find some artifacts right?" Lexon says with a cheery voice
  437. [10:00 PM] Faerie: ''Well, I do realize that. I suppose. But that just meant to say that, whatever it is we end up doing now, the monastery and Windsmere have my arm.'', finished Razmik, trying not to get too wound up on the details.
  438. [10:00 PM] Runic: Rolling pursuasion!
  439. [10:00 PM] Runic: Roll 1d20+2
  440. [10:00 PM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d20+2]: 15, Result: 17
  441. [10:01 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: If nothing else, Illiad doesn't really mind that you go around poking around.
  442. [10:01 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: If there's artifacts lying around in the open, it'd be good to have it used on the orcs anyway?
  443. [10:02 PM] Kaperis: A medic (and mortician) would probably be able to do the most good from right here in the monastery. The monks could no doubt use assistance from skilled hands in treating the injured. Or so a random guard happens to suggest.
  444. [10:02 PM] Faerie: (Is that really... stealing, then?)
  445. [10:02 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (It's just borrowing until death.)
  446. [10:02 PM] Runic: (exactly)
  447.
  448. [10:03 PM] Faerie: ''Seems we'll have to decide on it when Nhari is back on his feet, at least.''
  449. [10:03 PM] Faerie: Time to look at the map some more, check on the route and decide on what to do, I guess.
  450. [10:04 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Right.
  451. [10:04 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: A reminder to you all, I suppose.
  452. [10:04 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: You are not exactly here to win a war, remember? Though that might be the solution to the problem.
  453. [10:04 PM] Runic: Hearing no real complaints, Lexon scurrys away, in hopes of borrowing something valuable for the journey
  454. [10:04 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Finding out how to solve the issue, I guess, is part of the issue!
  455. [10:05 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: There are no limits here, so... Just believe that you can do it. :smugpopo:
  456.
  457. [10:06 PM] Faerie: Razmik looks around for a nice, ample spot to sit on to mediatate after changing into something less uncomfortable. But not too far away from the people playing cards, he wanted to see if anyone got incredibly unlucky, or something. That would be hilarious!.
  458. [10:07 PM] Faerie: (Well, that's the thing, I feel
  459. [10:07 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Hey, cards!" Bucky exclaims.
  460. [10:07 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Can I play as well?"
  461. [10:07 PM] Faerie: Either we beat the shit out of Arrow-Breaker, get him to back off or-
  462. [10:07 PM] Faerie: (AAAAAAAAAAH OH MY GOD BUCKY)
  463. [10:07 PM] §upposition: Denalthir simply explores her surroundings, not even taking advantage of her improved movement. She just...strolls. Appreciating the aesthetics of the area, looking around at the scenery.
  464. [10:08 PM] Faerie: (Er, or find whoever's supposed to be having this dream and do our thing, I guess? It's not like we'd know where to start from, if so)
  465. [10:09 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Scenery... Despite the war outside, inside the monastery it's almost peaceful.
  466. [10:10 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The trees sway as the grass, with a gentle wind seemingly constantly flowing throughout the courtyard and corridors.
  467.
  468. [10:10 PM] Kaperis: John left his deck behind on a table, should the party wish to make use of it!
  469.
  470. [10:10 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Illiad, against better judgement, decided to play with Bucky.
  471. [10:11 PM] Kaperis: (RIP, now you'll be poor even if you survive this.)
  472. [10:11 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: It... Didn't last long before Illiad apologizes and excused himself, noting the need to recover strength for the next day.
  473. [10:11 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Bucky just :sadpopo: .
  474.
  475. [10:12 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: With the actual IRL night coming on, and it being a monday, if players don't object, we can stop here.(edited)
  476. [10:12 PM] Sawai: ( I won't object :sadpopo: )
  477. [10:13 PM] Kaperis: (I'm fine with that~)
  478. [10:13 PM] Runic: (same)
  479. [10:13 PM] §upposition: (Thats fine, that's fine, lay me up in a bed)
  480. [10:13 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Alright, those present...
  481. [10:13 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: 300 XP.
  482. [10:13 PM] Runic: Sweet
  483. [10:14 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: @Adventurer not present, receive 150 XP
  484. [10:14 PM] Faerie: ''Well, alright! ...How do I play with these, though?'', said Razmik while looking at John's deck, before offering to wager on a small favor instead of coin.
  485. [10:14 PM] Faerie: (300 experience for talking)
  486. [10:14 PM] Faerie: (Holy shit, 310 exp away from level 4!)
  487. [10:14 PM] Kaperis: (Did we get end-of-session XP last time as well, or just the 650 from the fight?)
  488. [10:14 PM] Runic: Hopefully Lexon will be able to 'borrow' something to drink
  489. [10:14 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (That was included!)
  490. [10:15 PM] Kaperis: (Ah, nice.)
  491. [10:15 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (The dragon was only worth about just below 300ish)
  492. [10:15 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: ( :smugpopo: )
  493. [10:15 PM] Runic: (he's dying right now)(edited)
  494. [10:15 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Well
  495. [10:15 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: water is available, as are... Mead.
  496. [10:15 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: ... The monks are offering them for free for soldiers, anyhow, so there's that.
  497. [10:15 PM] Runic: Good enough!
  498. [10:16 PM] Faerie: (Dang. Time to get dorf smashed)
  499. [10:16 PM] Faerie: @Mizuki ALCOHOL ALERT
  500. [10:16 PM] Runic: Rolling for efficient alchol consumption
  501. [10:16 PM] Faerie: That's a CON save
  502. [10:16 PM] Runic: Roll 1d20+2
  503. [10:16 PM] BOTDiceBot: Dice: [1d20+2]: 3, Result: 5
  504. [10:17 PM] Runic: Gonna get wasted!
  505. [10:17 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: It was not efficient!
  506. [10:17 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: NOT EFFICIENT
  507. [10:17 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: W A S T E D
  508. [10:17 PM] Kaperis: So... does that mean more, or less?
