  1. Welcome to the continent of Bûtãk. The year is 944 PD or post-Draconia. The continent is divided into several city-states that usually tend to themselves and their associated territories. The equator is riddled with deserts known as the Sajamin Wasteland. This desert wasteland separates the continent into smaller regions with the north region being known as Selûnia and the southern region being known as Asgor. The southern-west coasts are covered with several fishing villages governed by a nearby city-state in a small region known as the Waterfront. It is here that you will find the only docks that allow for safe voyage past the Sajamin Wasteland into Selûnia. The southeastern to eastern area of Asgor is covered with a massive mountain range. South Asgor is inhabited by smaller towns and villages. To the south is a large desolate area that is inhabited by monstrous creatures. However, the exits are well-fortified and the civilians are protected from raids. In this area there is a yearly winter and the region is known for the frequent raids they receive from monsters that pour in from the snow-covered mountains. Selûnia, the northern region of the continent, is rich with forests and water. Swamps and ancient ruins can be found more often than not. The eastern side is known for its massive forest, which is simply called Blue Snow for its unique lighting and weather effects, with hundred-foot tall trees and magical fey creatures. Not too much further east off the coast is a massive volcano that has been active for the past century. Due to the overpopulation of tree trolls a millennium ago, the city-state of Marwai built thirty-foot stone walls all around with only four colossal stone gates being the only entrances and exits. In present times, Marwai is seen as the trade capital of the continent with its massive stone gates open for all to come. To the west is a small mountain range that dies off where the shipping docks meet. These mountains are for the most part inhabited by mountain dwarves and rock gnomes. Northern Selûnia slowly creeps into The Seething Whiterocks. Temperatures here are known to be cold enough to freeze equipped travelers in mere minutes with snow storms that rage throughout the year. However, this story begins in the city-state of Ashton in Northern Asgor. Under the rule of a council known as The Scalekeepers, Ashton has maintained peace for several decades with very little outside interference. The economy is based entirely around celebrations that occur only once a year known as The Three Days of Bahamutan. Races of all kinds come to participate in and watch the competitions. Some venture from as far as Faerun to see a site that is a once in a lifetime for them. And its all in the name of Bahamut, the dragon god of justice and law.
