  5. opt-out is better than opt-in, eg if news-pol was opt-in people might discuss the stuff everywhere because they didnt know about the opt-in thingy
  6. ZOFI
  7. More Events!
  8. Mod team is inexistant, i can only name two, one of which is rather inactive in chat anyway. that's after being here for around a year
  9.
  10. Main shaming is real, your worth as a player is inversely proportional to your character placement on the japanese tier list
  11.
  12. Not dropping names but there are super toxic elements in the community who never even get slapped on the wrist while others who actually changed still get thrown under the bus. It's all a matter of being friendly enough with the skeleton mod team. Rule bending is law
  13. Allow emoji chains.
  14. Need more ways to encourage beginners to play.
  15. #hisouten is both a soku hub and a community server.
  16. E'ya boi. Uhhh, One.
  17. I'd say y'all doing a great job, regardless of what everyone says, because outside the moderation way, it is you, guys, that do it your way. That's amazing, never forget who you guys are.
  18. deleting #soku-beginner was a mistake and I'm not trolling, more tourneys for beginners would be nice
  19. Have a good day! > <
  20. Do all mods actually mod the channels? For me the answer is no. There should be more mods imo and mentor role should be revamped btw
  21. The server is great, it has lots of information and almost everything is usually well communicated, it can be very fun and friendly, but it can be very toxic as well, there's many mods but the server is so big and there's so many active channels that a lot of the time they aren't looking when people are being toxic, so they go unpunished for long periods of time.
  22. About the moderation team question above: I do believe that our mods make fair decisions when their action is called upon, but I also think that certain people could be setting a better example for other users than they currently do.
  23. yay community circlejerk
  24. I am very dissatisfied of how the mod team treated me and how they handled (or in this case, didn't handle) Rokku. They blamed me for what happened in the NSFW channel based off of zero evidence and they did absolutely nothing to Rokku despite the latter harassing me for 6 months. He even got to commentate the Border of Duel between Genki and ZeroFuse. It's time to elect new moderators.
  25. It really could be a better server with more moderation in terms of.. well.. toxicity, back when i arrived 2 years ago, it was so so, but now it's kinda unbearable alongside the discrimination against players from other countries like SA or SEA
  26.
  27. Hisouten has become an international community, i think it's time to stop with the "hurr hurr SEA/SA lags" Some do try to fix their connection to a better one, some already have an amazing connection but the distance isn't just in favour of everyone, yeah, might be a bit senseless or sounding like there needs to be Lag, no there's no need for it, but it's not like we all have the means to gather each other and play offline
  28.
  29. Soku's been the only fighting game in a whole while i've fully enjoyed and i can completely say that i've had fun with the game and the community, even with the brokeness of certain chars but we like em anyways in the end
  30.
  31. For the game to be a decade old, it's standing quite well, so i'd like to see hisouten keeping soku up for another one if possible.
  32. Mod team honestly needs a lot of work, feels like more than half the mods don't even do their job.
  33. While these occur extremely rarely, I feel like every time the moderation team or an individual acting with the authority of the moderation team makes a snap decision, it's always extremely questionable. The most obvious example would be the time when the user Crisp ended up being put on the spot by a member of the moderation team when they were voicing their opinions when they suddenly had a text channel dedicated to them. Even if the decision was made with the best of intentions, it was wholly uncalled for and completely unprofessional.
  34.
  35. There was also the banning of a user (who I believe was mersh) on November 26th which I find questionable, since while the user was spamming and was generally being annoying, granted, I wasn't sure if they received any warning before being unceremoniously banned from the server. That being said, as I wasn't there during this time, and apparently two mods convened and agreed to ban the user, I'd imagine there was a proper process that was run through; I just happened to find this incident rather sketchy.

  37. Honestly, I'm really happy with the hisouten mod team and how they handle most things overall. While there are a couple moments here and there where I can say I'm less than satisfied with the mod team's decisions, I can say for certain that I'm incredibly fond of everyone in the discord who I've encountered. Thanks for the good work, everyone. Here's to another year of shitposting, degeneracy, and memes.
  38. Why was sscepter let in ABC
  39. next podcast when
  40. #beginner when
  41. mods shitpost too often
  42. Pls stop announcing things at weirdo time standards.
  43. moderation at sea hours plz
  44. None immediately spring to mind.
  45. pretty good keep it up (garr) lol
  46. This is already enough but i hope any changes goes through for the sake of the server and the game.
  47. I think #hisouten should encourage the community to produce content, the wiki isn't open for everyone, and I guess a lot of people want to contribute
