Abstain from Pancakes

Covet: Eli was sitting at the counter with his business class course work,  writing some answers on an take home Essay quiz thing. He was grumbling because he didn't want homework this weekend but it looked like that might be the case. He had a plate of pancakes sitting in front of him and he was munching on them, in their cold, still awesome, syrupiness.
Tsaaq: Bliss parked in front of the cafe and held her phone to her ear as she went inside. "Nothing too serious, just picking up a late night snack while I still can-" She stopped, seeing Eli. She'd been caught. "Darn. I'll call you tomorrow Gram." She said, saying her goodbyes. "I was hoping I could sneak in some pancakes before our machine arrives." She sighed as she went over to him.
Covet: Eli chuckled and looked down at his plate of half eaten pancakes. " Well then we might have had the same idea there. But shhhh, I won't tell if you won't" He said with a smirk, pushing his papers away happily, glad to have a distraction.
Tsaaq: "That isn't how it works at all but sure." She smiled as she went to kiss his cheek then took a seat beside him. "I'm pretty excited about this. I've been craving the delicious lure of pancakes and syrup." She laughed.
Covet: "They do have that sort of magic in them." He said leaning into her kiss, " Were you on the phone coming in?" He asked her, taking another bite, only slightly disapointed that they were cold now.
Tsaaq: "I was talking to Gram-gram." She told him with a nod, raising her finger to order her pancakes. "Just catching up on a few things. I haven't been to the house in a few weeks."
Covet: "Ahh gotcha, How's Prudence doing?" He asked politely, smiling over at her, turning away from his homework entirely, pulling his pancakes closer to him as he leaned over on his elbow to watch her.
Tsaaq: She turned to him and tapped her chin a moment. "She's good. Still looking for dad..." She trailed off and frowned a little. "But otherwise she's doing pretty well."
Covet: He gave a soft frown, " He just not answering her contact? Or has he completely dropped off the map?"Eli asked in a concerned tone.
Tsaaq: "He's disappeared, not unlike other times. We probably won't see him for a very long time. I'm sure of it." She sighed then perked up a little once the pancakes appeared.
Covet: "I'm sorry, My love. I know you probably miss him." Eli said looking at her, seeing her smile when she got happy about the pancakes. "Maybe he'll show up here soon sometime."
Tsaaq: Bliss pursed her lips a moment as she cut into her pancakes. "I don't know if I want him to show up to see me." She said curtly. "But for my gram's sake."
Covet: "I understand that. Have you decided to write him off?" Eli asked, watching her expressions.
Tsaaq: She frowned a moment then shrugged her shoulders. "I'm not sure yet..." Bliss whispered. "I'm trying to focus on other things."
Covet: He went to wrap his arm around her, leaning in to give her a soft hug, "I'm sorry for bringing it up, I know it's not your favorite subject. And you're right, you have better happier things to focus on"
Tsaaq: "It's fine darling." She said leaning on him a moment then going to take a few bites. "Precisely. I don't want to waste anymore frustrations on him."
Covet: "How are your pancakes?" Eli asked her with a grin, rubbing her shoulder.
Tsaaq: She smiled at Eli then took another bite. "I like them a lot tonight. Coming here tonight was a good investment." She smiled. "How were yours?"
Tsaaq: ((I'm getting pancakes tomorrow, now.))
Covet: [BWAHAHAHA]
Covet: "They were good, a tad on the sad side now, but that's what I get for trying to eat and do homework at the same time." Eli said with a chuckle, "Enjoy them... should we make a pact, that tonight is the last pancake night?"
Tsaaq: Bliss made a whining noise and bit her lip. She stared at her pancakes then looked over to him again. "Oh my this is hard." Bliss said before nodding her head. "Alright!"
Covet: Eli watched her, feeling her pain and struggle with this, "Let's make an adendum to it. Pancakes, once a month, won't hurt us. We'll make it a celebration for our hard work." He said with a smile.
Tsaaq: She nodded her head then smiled. "I like that idea better. I simply can't give up pancakes." She laughed and went to get another forkful. "Yummy." She sighed. "It will be missed but it's worth it."
Covet: "Indeed." He told her, pressing a kiss to her cheek, he started to gather up his things, intending to go home here before too long, because I need to leave so I can pack and sleep x.x
