Yer a wizard

Wizardry --- the art or practice of magic. Spells that can conjure up exotic and bewitching images; mythical creatures that were only shaped by perceptions of old books. For many of us, magic was just a seemingly fictional skill created to tell intriguing stories to children. But what happens when the world find out that such sorcery truly exists?

In 1890, a British wizard named Marcellus Gold Leveret and his younger brother Benjamin founded Winmose, Academy of Wizardry during a tough period in their world. Wizards and magical creatures alike were seeking asylum and a fresh start after losing their homes and even loved ones in the midst of Maddock Shadowend's tyrant siege. Maddock, a pure - blood wizard from one of the five most plutocratic families in the Dornwich Highlands, cared not about the livelihood of others -- but about reigning supreme and becoming a ruler.Most of all, he desired eternal life. He deemed his family to be weak as they cared for the well being of other life forms. He couldn't be tied down by the burden of their decrepitude - so he had to take matters into his own hands. To become a true leader, he had to ascend into the greatest power. The darkest of arts. Though Maddock's family practiced dark magic, they never used to harm others as he did. He used them to concoct poisious potions in which he used to terminate members of his own family -- including his mother and father upon them banishing him from their family.

After Maddock Shadowend demolished the Dornwich Highlands and exerted complete control over the area to breed dangerous creatures for his own evil usage, many of the survivors fled to Mirstone  Ridge to attend Marcellus's school of Wizardry. However, plenty of them remained under Maddock's control in hopes that he would take pity on them and keep them safe if they sided with him. Instead, he used them as his test subjects, mutating them into the deadliest of beasts.

In 1895, Marcellus met a woman named Seraphina Grimsbane. Seraphina was a shapeshifting serpent of the most dangerous classification. Wizards knew that this class if shapshifter was dangerous to their own kind and impossible to train or domesticate - but somehow Marcel managed to befriend the woman. Marcel took Seraphina and her family into his Academy in hopes that they could teach others like them about their ancestry. However, the pair did not expect such a moment to lead to them falling in love.

Within a year, Seraphina had gotten pregnant and Marcel couldn't have been more excited - but there was one person that was not happy about the news. Marcel's brother Benjamin. He was prejudiced against wizards mixing with other species. Half-bloods were a sin in his eyes.  In fact, he despised it so much that he had already planned on what he would do as soon as Seraphina would give birth.  After giving birth to a healthy baby girl whom they named  Medusa Beatrix Grimsbane, Benjamin committed one of the most supreme acts of betrayal. He laced Seraphina's (and her family's) tea with a potion that would induce a deep slumper until he was able to reach Bellemare where he would sell the family into a life of becoming Circus attractions.Upon returning home, he wrote a letter that he'd claim was from Seraphina, saying that having Marcel's child was a mistake and that she had killed the baby and was never to return to him. This sent Marcel into a deep depression and his heart was filled with an eternity of rage. He vowed to never love again, but celebrated his daughter every single day of his life.

As years went by, horrific beasts began to find their way into the encasing of Winmose Academy and it wasn't long until Marcel found out just who those beasts belonged to. Maddock Shadowend. As the two would come face to face, Marcel found out that there was some information that Maddock was being fed from someone within the Academy. He knew everything distinct detail about regeneration potions and strength enhancement that Marcel had created for the sake of mortals. Most importantly, he knew about the immortality potion that he'd recently created that would allow a wizard or witch to become perpetual without separating from their magic. Only Benjamin knew about these brew solutions, and this now made Marcel grow curious.

The next morning, the Academy was in flames and all of his life's work was stolen. Benjamin was no where to be found and Marcel was forced to rebuild his school from scratch. It was obvious that his brother was selling him out with no regard for his life or the lives of others. He was trying to establish a power base with Maddock, desperate to be accepted by another pure -blood wizard that didn't procreate with the "enemy". Highly distressed and discomposed,  Marcel tracked his brother down to the rebuilt alleys of the Dornwich Highlands and confronted him. It was only then that Marcel was exposed to the true nature of their relationship and was met with the threat of his academy being burned down once more, but this time they'd make sure that it resulted in the death if everyone inside if Marcel didn't bow to Maddock's leadership.

Refusing, Marcel rushed back to warn his family and friend of the sincerity of this commination. It was dire they they all stood together and brought in reinforcements from anywhere that they could. But what happens when hidden secrets pour out as a distraction and a blast from the past revives a bitter flame when a war is ongoing? Will Marcel be able to take on his own brother and one of the most powerful wizards to save his family and their world that is at stake? Or will he fold and bend to Maddock's demands?
