1A. I am a police officer of the Ottawa Police and I am very good at my job.

2A. I am the chief of police, in fact the chief is the highest rank of police officers.
3. How long have you been in the service as a police officer?
3A. 8 years, so a long time and I have a lot of experience.
4. Where are you presently assigned, Mr. Witness?
4A. I am on the drug squad.
5. In the month of June, were you already assigned at the drug squad?
5A. Yes, I have been on the drug squad for the last two years.
6. On June 17th. 1988, were you on duty that day?
6A. Yes, I was working at the Main Street Mall in plain clothes.
7. Can you recall whether during that day, you conducted a search and seizure proceedings?
7A. Yes, I followed all the proper proceedings and Ace told me Jonas has drugs.
8. Who is the subject of the search warrant?
8A. Robin Jonas.
9. Is he the same Jonas, who is the accused in this case?
9A. Yes
10. What is the location?
10A. 2405 Barclay Street.
11. The location you mentioned, is this the residence of the accused?
11A. Yes.
12. Was the search authorized by the law?
12A. Yes.
13. Do you have with you a bag of the substance you found when you searched D. Ace?
13A. Yes, these are the drugs I found on D. Ace and I can tell because I initialled them at the time and my initials are still on the bag.

14A. It was the afternoon of August 3rd.

15A. I was by myself.
16. Upon arriving at the location, what happened?
16A. I went in the house.
17. How do you know for sure that the house was the house of the accused?
17A. Jonas signed a contract of $400 per month.

22A. I found two ounces of cocaine and ten ounces of marijuana.
23. Can you describe to us in particular, how you were able to find those items?
23A. I found them behind the toilet.

24A. I found two boxes of baggies in the kitchen.
25. When you found the items what did you do next?
25. I drew a floor plan of Jonas' apartment.
