- There wasn't much to look at here. Despite it all, with all the shining lights and noise and people and whatever, the city felt so... Empty.
- Everyone walked to and fro, listening to music or reading text messages or whatever, giving little notice to their surroundings. I saw a man walk past an alley where two thugs beat up an unfortunate soul. I saw children playing their innocent games as a drug addict gave himself another dose of happyjuice on a bench scant meters away. I saw a little girl look around with wide eyes as her mommy lead her past a crying, pleading man in filthy clothes who spoke in a foreign language. This city was enormous in size with a diverse people, yet I refused to call them as such. These monsters weren't worth the dirt under my boot. They were ignorant, cruel and horrendously short-sighted as to not see the pains of others or do nothing if they do see it.
