  1. The Venetian Chronicles: Lucien
  2. Yuuko: (fumbling with the camera before mounting it on a tripod. Before adjusting the focus on the camera and Clearing her throat) this is Council envoy Yuuko Shirakawa, agent of the dragon, and historian for the archives in Dublin Ireland. As part of the Chronicles initiative, I am interviewing active agents from the 21st century so that future generations may better understand the context in which events are taking place. This session is being recorded on May 4th 2018 in Greenfield Ireland, at the Green residence.
  3. Yuuko: Could you please state your full name, date of birth, affiliation and rank.
  4. Lucien: Lucien Branwen, June 21st of an unknown year, and I am fully Neutral with no rank.
  5. Yukko: Can you tell us about your family?
  6. Lucien: I actually can not. I do not recall anything about my life before… Hmm.. 1923.
  7. Yuuko: Where did you grow up?
  8. Lucien: I spent most of my life in New Orleans actually. I worked as a Bartender before inheriting the Faerly Odd shoppe, which has now become Faerly Odd Curios.
  9. Yuuko: How would you describe your childhood?
  10. Lucien: I couldn’t actually. *Chuckles.* I assume it was probably very dull, however.
  11. Yuuko: How were you first introduced to the secret world?
  12. Lucien: I feel now its best to elaborate a bit about the so called 1923 incident here. See, I don’t actually have memories past then, because that was the single moment I became conscious to my existence. Much like people say their first memory is when they began remembering their life properly, mine was then. Already fully grown adult just thrown into the world with vague understanding of it, and my gifts.
  13. Yuuko: Did you have any contact (either directly or indirectly) with your society before your powers awakened?
  14. Lucien: To my knowledge, yes. I was already versed in my magical prowess, and I knew of the world, before I came conscious.
  15. Yuuko: Can you tell us what a normal day looks like for you?
  16. Lucien: I wake up, tend to my cat, then go downstairs. I open my shop, make myself breakfast if I have food, and then tea. I’ll usually spend the day from there messaging friends, and tending to a handful of customers. If it is a slow day, I animate a doll to work the shop for me, and I’ll go upstairs and read, watch a movie, or do research. I normally don’t sleep, so when I don’t I am watching horror movies until a new day begins.
  17. Yuuko: Has your work for your society ever brought you into contact with anyone who would be considered historically significant (world leaders, celebrities, scientist and engineers.)
  18. Lucien: I’ve met some actors, namely Yoko Ono, who was an inspiration to me in helping myself going foreward. I feel bad I’ve failed to keep to her advice.
  19. Yuuko: Have you ever seen an event reported in the media and known that it was a lie and if so can you tell us what really happened?
  20. Lucien: Sadly, I can not. I am a bit of a social recluse, and I shun myself away into my store for some time. I usually ignore the politics or events of the world outside.
  21. Yuuko: What was the last event you can remember that shook both the secret world and the mundane equally?
  22. Lucien: Hmmm… I recall something about Orochi Tower? I list that merely because I DID hear about it, which is unusual.
  23. Yuuko: Have you ever participated in an event considered historically important to the mundane world and if so was it on behalf of your society
  24. Lucien: I can’t say like others I’ve done much in that regard unfortunantly. Historical importance is different to everyone. At best I can say I was assisting with the Hurricane Katrina support efforts some time before my move to London, and from there the most support I’ve lended was helping budding magic users.
  25. Yuuko: Thank you for taking the time to speak with us Lucien.
  26. Lucien: Thank you for the Interview Yuuko, I’m sorry to your fans that I am a bit of an odd thing indeed, but I did enjoy talking.
