  1. Races In 5e (And How I Might Change Them)
  2. **Aarakocra:** i usually like to make aarakocra have wing-arms (which, btw, is how they've looked in every edition before 5th) which means they can't do attacks which require two hands without falling. arguably they can't do any at all, but i'm fine with them being able to like, use a hand cbow, or like casting *fire bolt*. might make that change, but i also miiiight not, just since it is technically a big departure from their anatomy of 5e?

  4. **Aasimar:** i kind of hate them so i think i won't touch them

  6. **Bugbear:** long-limbed is a joke and i'm not laughing at it. i'm removing it and replacing it with...... something?????? bugbears kind of have no identity but i can think up something.

  8. **Dragonborn:** am i allowed to just skip this one? no? i'm not? it's in my contract that i *have* to fix them? fiiiine. i'm thinking i'll probably make a subrace for chromatics, a subrace for metallics, and then because i'm ffffffucking extra a subrace for shadow and platinum. maybe gemstone too because i greatly enjoy surpassing matt colville but that's like really easy to do so it's not even that satisfying

  10. **Genasi:** i actually fixed these already in 5.bando original and i still stand by the changes i made so i'm porting them. i really like Wish Granter especially.

  12. **Gith:** i'm going to pretend these don't exist so that way everyone assumes i think they're balanced

  14. **Goblin:** changing fury of the small to the Actually Cool Version:tm: in original 5.bando

  16. **Half-Orc:** i'm thinkin i'll revise these fuckers to do more with the human versatility aspect (like half-elves). originally i considered it being like, a free fighting style? but tbh i think that's too strong so maaaybe light armor + weapons?

  18. **Hobgoblin:** goin' with 5.bando's thing of like a d4 superiority dice, probably? or at least it'll be something maneuver-like if not literally the BM thing

  20. **Kobold:** str penalty removed obviously. i am thinking i'll probably remove pack tactics and really just rework kobold from the ground up, since tbh pack tactics when you're not in bright light is like... pretty fuckin' broken innit??? Flanking Rules But Better

  22. **Orc:** very close to PHB half-orc but also with Aggressive, that's still like a 29 or something. also savage attacks includes ranged weapon attacks

  24. **Satyr:** WHY DID THEY GIVE MAGIC RESISTANCE TO A *SECOND* FUCKING RACE I AM GOING TO RIP OUT MY OWN LUNGS anyways without MR its' like 21 on DB so i'll give it *Something*

  26. **Tiefling:** tiefling is surprisingly only like a 21 on DB, and while i don't really think it needs a huge buff, i do want the subraces to feel like... they matter??? so i'm gonna give each subrace like a thing worth about a 4-ish on DB. maybe rework winged to be balanced, too? flight where you land *is* only a 4 on DB so...

  28. **Yuan-Ti Pureblood:** i might make these into a full yuan-ti race because malisons and aboms are cool. MR is getting removed because obviously. i think i'll probably make the base race be poison res/adv rather than immunity, because both a) i feel weird about a PC having immunity to poison at *1st level* and b) it gives me more room to put cool shit into the subraces
