>You think you got it, and you tell Rainbow Dash you're ready. You grasp onto her, and repeat in your mind that you are ready this time. that you wouldn't close your eyes, you filled yourself with confidence.
>Rainbow Dash nods, and zips right to sugarcube corner, which wasn't far away. But at this pace, it was like a quick jump.
>"Alright Anon, here we are at sugarcube corner. Just ope-" suddenly you stop Rainbow Dash midsentence
>"My eyes are open, I didn't close them this time. you said, with confidence. Looking down at Sugarcube Corner. You had been here before. This is where you met Mrs. Cake. Thinking back on it now, you kind of wanted to visit her again. But, you knew you couldn't at this time. So you stayed the course, and started mapping things out in your head.
>Rainbow Dash was smiling, not that you could see it. But it was a caring smile, it seems things were FINALLY working...she hoped. "You didn't close them once? Well, I guess I can believe that we didn't go that far this time"

>"What do you mean?" you have a feeling what she was inferring to
>"Well, anypony can keep their eyes open at such a short trip. I'm not calling you a chicken or anything but..." Rainbow Dash smirked, now that she knew you kept your eyes open, she was suddenly urged to push you a little more "Even a foal could do that, ya know?"

>That sounded like a challenge, you didn't like all this implying that you were a coward. Especially with it becoming more direct. "Then...mnn.." you stopped yourself...were you going to suggest what you thought you were going to suggest?...yes. Yes, you had to. You are already up in the air. you feel more courage, and you'll be danged if some blue pony WITH RAINBOW FREAKIN HAIR. You were getting tired of being seen as a "wimp". And now that you were finally trying, you were still being put down. No, it stops here "Then..Give me the best you got! Do that Sonic Rainboom thing! I'll show you I can be brave"
>oh geez, Rainbow Dash didn't expect you to react that harshly. She tried to backtrack "Woah woah woah woah, hold on there Anon. If you want a wild ride thats fine. But I'm not going to do the Sonic Rainboom just like that."
>You started to feel more frustrated "Why not! I said I could handle it!"
>"You SAY you can, but I'm telling you, you can't. It's not a bravery thing. But unless these harnesses are THAT good. Then I may just end up killing you if I tried that. Calm down Anon, you didn't need to get snappy all of a sudden." Rainbow Dash was being serious, she had no intention of doing the Sonic Rainboom with you on her.
>you growled "Then don't call me a chicken! I'm trying to be brave and you just..keep mocking me!"
>"Ok ok, geez. Sorry. Didn't realize you were so touchy. Ok...so, you really want to prove your brave?" Rainbow Dash was being full on serious now. highly intrigued by your reaction and answers.
>You nod furiously "Yes! I want to show you I'm brave. I've been trying, I really have."
>Rainbow Dash starts to prepare herself "Ok, so. How about this. I'm gonna do a huge loop de loop, a couple of barrel rolls, a figure 8, followed by a huge dive and finish it off with zooming way way way up, above the clouds. How does that sound?" Rainbow Dash asked

>suddenly your anger starts to turn into growing cowerdice....that..sounded scary. You said nothing.
>"Anon? did you hear me?" Rainbow Dash asked again
>You snapped out of it. you felt shaky,and you were sure she could feel it. It was now or never. So you just yell out. "YES! YES DO IT. JUST DO IT! I'M READY!"
>You forced out your words, if you didn't. you felt you'd back out. you had to do this.
>Rainbow dash didn't hesitate. She wasn't going to give you a chance to back out now. She immediately flew as quick as she thought the belts could allow. Faster than she had ever flown in your personal experience.
>You start screaming, closing your eyes as she goes through a fairly long loop de loop.
>"Anon? ANON COME ON, OPEN YOUR EYES, YOU'RE MISSING THE VIEW" Rainbow Dash yelled out, as she reached her peak of the loop de loop and headed down.
>"I CA-CAN'T..I..I...I'M" You stutter
>"DON'T SAY THOSE WORDS ANON, COME ON. I PROMISE NOT TO LET YOU FALL. YOU WANNA PROVE YOU AREN'T A CHICKEN?! THEN NOW'S THE TIME. YOU GOT MAD RIGHT? FOR BEING CALLED A CHICKEN? THEN PROVE ME WRONG, COME ON ALREADY!"
>You gulped, she was right. You just snapped at her. and now you were back to being scared. But..it was so intense.
>"COME ON ALREADY!" Rainbow Dash yelled out, as she went into a second unplanned loop de loop.
>you could feel the force of the winds as you held on tight. But you never felt that you were going to fall. You mustered up as much courage as you can as you felt your hair spasm in the wind. She wouldn't let you fall, you were strapped on tight, you weren't a chicken, you were brave

>you slowly opened your eyes. You nudged your head to look down. and there you saw it. Clouds, the blue sky. You were upside down. You stayed silent, but you kept your eyes open. And held on tight.
>"ANON?" Rainbow Dash called out again

>You could hear her, but as she started to go down, you could see the town come into view. You just went full circle at high speeds on a talking magic horse. You were speechless. You could feel your fear leaving you as you take in the speed and the sights. You started, you hadn't fallen. You were still on Rainbow Dash. And you had something to prove.
>"HEY ANON, YOU DIDN'T CONK OUT ON ME DID YOU?" Rainbow Dash was slowing down, she was afraid she may have gotten ahead of herself at this point.
>You could feel it too, her slowing down. Just as you were afraid before. You felt the opposite now. You suddenly felt amazing, you felt your blood rushing. Whatever brought about this feeling in you. You were beginning to like it."NO DON'T STOP, KEEP GOING!"
>did you just say that? It just...came out of you.
>"ANON, ARE YOU SURE? I CAN STOP" Rainbow dash was getting worried now. As she thought about it. Perhaps she was indeed pushing this too far. as thoughts appeared in her head of you turning into a babbling mess and telling Fluttershy everything. She didn't need that.
>"NO, DON'T SLOW DOWN! KEEP GOING. FASTER!" You couldn't control yourself. Well, maybe you could. But this feeling!
>Rainbow Dash was confused as heck. First you were sure, then you were unsure, then you were chicken. What was wrong with you? "ANON, ARE YOU OK?" She started to maintain a brisk pace.
>"YES..PLEASE..PLEASE..AUNT DASH...JUST..JUST DO IT! I WANT THIS. PLEASE!" You couldn't fight it. The rush was amazing. You accepted it. You had finally accepted it. Maybe it was her egging you on. Maybe it was you opening your eyes. It could of been anything. But now..there was no stopping it.
>Rainbow Dash heeded your words. It was confusing for her at this point. But you did say please. If this got any weirder, she was going to stop. But for now, she was going to give it a final push. "ALRIGHT ANON, BUT I WARN YOU. YOU GET ANTSY ON ME EVEN A LITTLE AND I'M JUST GONNA STOP!"

>"THATS FINE!" You yell "I..I THINK I CAN DO THIS...NO..I KNOW I CAN..DO IT AUNT DASH!"
>With that, Rainbow Dash sped up again. She didn't accelerate too fast. But she was reaching high speeds, this time, she'd do some barrel rolls to test your resolve.
>You didn't feel fear this time, you felt a rush. You could see the world spinning ahead of you. The wind hitting you. But now..you didn't care. Something either snapped in you, or grew in you. Whatever it was. This was amazing. "FASTER!"
>Rainbow dash started to feel more comfortable again. She didn't know what happened. and she only started to feel just inklings what she was doing was wrong. But it was too late now, she reasoned with herself that at this point. It really was all or nothing when it came to you "YOU GOT IT! JUST DON'T WUSS OUT"
>Was this what she wanted? she thought yes, she wanted you to be braver. But so sudden? Perhaps this wasn't the time to figure it out. Now was the time for flight. She started to do all sorts of tricks. None that phased you, it only made you more excited. Finally, she was ready for the dive. "HANG ON ANON, WERE GONNA GO SUPER FAST"
>you were ready. You were very sure of this "LET'S DO ITTTTTTT!" You yell as she dives.
>That speed, that rush. It was...exhilarating You could see the town coming closer at you. But you didn't care.
>you were moving so fast you couldn't even tell that there were onlookers, looking at the erratic flight patterns the blue pegasus pony.
>Finally Rainbow Dash arched and flew straight up. Clouds coming close and then passing you. you could feel the mist hit you. the rush..THE RUSH. It surged through you.
>Finally, Rainbow dash stopped. She was deftly hoping you didn't faint. But she proceeded as if you hadn't. just hoping you respond "And to end the tour, heh. If you look in the distance you can see Canterlot. Whatcha think Anon"

>in her mind, she was just waiting for you to respond at all, scared that maybe she pushed it. She couldn't turn her head all the way to see if you were ok. Her want to toughen you up clashed with her sudden maternal feelings of making sure she didn't overdo it....or perhaps she was just scared that Fluttershy would actually lose it.
>You were panting. You didn't even take notice of Canterlot in the distance. You just looked down
>"....THAT...WAS....AMAZING!" You yell out
>"WE WERE GOING THIS WAY AND THAT WAY AND UP AND DOWN AND GOING SKY HIGH AND WOOOSH AND WHOOO AND VROOOM! AND I MANAGED TO KEEP MY EYES OPEN AND..W..WOW...wow....whoo.." you suddenly felt drained as you lean forward and rest yourself on the back of Rainbow Dash's neck. "Aunt D..Dash...we..flew. Yo...you were amazing" you panted.
>Hearing you were ok, hearing you managed to actually enjoy it, and ESPECIALLY hearing herself be reffered as "amazing" put a smile on her face. Mabe it was narcissism, but she suddenly felt pleased with herself. "Yeah, well. Like I said..."First Class", you get the best when you fly with Equestria's best flyer. I ALMOST thought you were gonna chicken out" that was a lie, she had multiple things in her head, she thought you'd DEFINITELY chicken out at some point...but you didn't. She felt proud.
>You were pretty shaky, but that's because the rush was ending. you forced yourself upwards. And tried to act smug yourself "Yeah well...there's a reason I'm the best gentlecolt mom has ever seen!"
>Rainbow dash audibly snickered. She tried to hold it in, she didn't want to laugh after that experience. But that was just so terribly awkward and hilarious.
>"H-hey!" you tap at the back of her head "Why are you laughing?"
>Rainbow Dash took a breath,and tried to play it cool "Nothing,but being a "gentlecolt" isn't exactly what I'd call cool."

>"pssh, whatever.Miss Rarity and Mom thinks it's cool. And Miss Rarity probably gets alot of umm...stallions..I think..I..dunno. that sounds sorta cool." you say
>Rainbow Dash starts taking quick breaths. That was just too funny. as if Rarity knew what "cool" was. Oh boy, she knew one thing. You were doomed unless you hung out with a really cool pony like herself. She continues to take breaths. To prevent from bursting into laughter "Whatever you say..Anon..I...Believe you....honest..hehe"
>Good! I knew you'd see it my way if I told you Miss Rarity thought so too. She e-.." You stop yourself, you were about to reveal that she even has Discord under her at the moment, due to that dress. But...oh boy..if Discord found out you spilled the beans...then you really would have a reason to fear being up so high. "even...told me I'm the coolest of cool"
>She never said that, but you had to make a save.
>Rainbow Dash just continued trying to compose herself, even breaking into a sweat trying to hold it in. "Whatever..you say Anon"
>with that, you look into the horizon. And see Canterlot. It looked so far away, and yet so close. "...so..is that where Princess Celestia lives?"
>Rainbow Dash uses this oppurtunity to shift into that topic to prevent herself from any kind of teasing "huh? o-oh yeah...that's the place. Pretty neat that you can see it from here huh?"
>You nod "yeah, it is. I know I've never seen anything like this before. I can remember a lot of things. None of them this...beautiful. It's really neat."
>Rainbow Dash has noticed you calm down, and she feels the need to ask "You sure you're ok Anon? Things got kinda weird back there."
>"o-oh...yeah, I'm ok. I guess...I dunno what it was...I..I just..I guess I couldn't take being a wimp anymore...umm..If I tell you something...promise not to laugh?"
>"yeah I promise" Rainbow Dash said, she already had her laughs. What else could be so funny?

>"Well...earlier this morning. a zebra showed up named umm...Zecora...But I thought she was a demon. At first, I got really scared. and hid behind mom. But when I thought she was in danger..I..I just rushed in. But I tripped...I made myself look like a dipstick. I wanted to be brave...but I screwed up."
>Rainbow Dash could hear the sincerity in your words, and she wasn't going to laugh at the fact you were trying to protect Fluttershy. "Heh, so. You can be brave when you wanna be? That's good Anon. I had a feeling you could, and knowing when push comes to shove that you'd protect someone important to you shows a lot of loyalty and bravery. Truuuust me, I know a lot about it. Speaking of which, noticed anything?"
>noticed? what was she talking about? "notice? noticed what?"
>"were chatting it up all the way up here and you havn't had a wimpy moment. I knew you could do it anon, you made your Aunt Dash proud.......let's....just not tell Fluttershy about it ok?"
>You nod "yeah....she'd probably not be happy...besides, I made a deal didn't I? I never said to stop....I think..that counts right?" You couldn't remember. It all seemed like a blur now.
>the deal actually was for you not to get all scared. But given the circumstances, Rainbow Dash just let it pass "yup, you're right. You did good Anon. I owe you an all you can eat buffet. But we better get to my house. I still gotta train, because If I don't win, then I can't pay for it."
>You nod "alright, let's go! Wooo!" All that fear, just gone. infact, you felt braver in general. Maybe it was just a fluke. But something within you. Something told you that things weren't as scary as they first appeared.
>Rainbow Dash made off to her house, not super fast, but at a speedy enough pace. You didn't once complain..or feel any fear anymore. As for your current opinion of Rainbow Dash, she was one cool pony.
