  4. ProfFarnsworth 15:27:21
  5. I didn't.
  6. innit 15:27:27
  7. There are no English princes -- only British ones.
  8. ProfFarnsworth 15:27:31
  9. I said that they aren't challenging the neoliberal system.

  20. If you're hoping a family that uses the lie that they're an essentially special family with rights and powers not shared by every other human family on Earth will promote the general welfare any amount what is necessary in the surrounding political context for them to retain their privilege, then you're heading towards disappointment.
  21. any amount above what is necessary*
  22. NaughtyCanid, there are no queens on Earth.
  23. NaughtyCanid 15:33:49

  39. There's no formal island of Britain.
  40. The island is Great Britain, and Britain is a slang, or archaic term for Great Britain.
  41. NaughtyCanid 15:40:43
  42. Whatever. Basically it's best to say you when say britain you mean the UK, but don't mean england.
  43. Don't say england when you mean britain or the UK.

  48. Monarchy is an intersubjective reality reliant on essential notions of social stratification that require some humans to suffer.

  71. innit: I tell you what. The next time the queen, or more likely king charles, tries to promote human suffering, parliment will cut his head off.
  72. innit 15:48:39
  73. That's a naive sentiment.
  74. NaughtyCanid 15:48:40
  75. innit: Like we did another king charles.
  76. innit: Deal?
  77. innit 15:48:52
  78. No deal.
  79. You have a fundamental misunderstanding.
  80. NaughtyCanid 15:49:23
  81. innit: What would that be?
  82. innit 15:49:50
  83. NaughtyCanid, leaders get their heads cut off, typically, only when they go *way past the line* with other powerful forces.
  84. NaughtyCanid 15:50:07
  85. uh-huh
  86. innit 15:50:14
  87. This allows for substantial freedom to create suffering as long as you don't too far past the line, and as long as you target weaker people.

  104. NaughtyCanid: The UK government is extremely complicated, but the Windsor family technically choose the Prime Minister and has substantial ability to influence policy in almost all aspects of British life.

  109. innit: Yes the Queen invites the duly elected prime minister to form the goverment. She has invited several republican (in the true sense of the word) ones to do so.
  110. innit: If she refused a duly elected representative to do so we would because the fastest most bloodless republic in history.
  111. innit 15:55:39
  112. NaughtyCanid, there's currently enough power sharing in the UK system to present substantial restrictions on the power of the Windsor family. They're required to form coalitions with the democratic elements of the society in order to exercise power. If the leaders of those democratic elements choose to put their interests above those of the people, the fundamental, lurking power in the monarchial belief-system will and does cause harm.
  113. NaughtyCanid 15:55:51
  114. innit: These things were decided in the english civil war. Parliment holds the power.

  124. What are you, PR for republicans?
  125. You arn't doing a very good job.

  127. NaughtyCanid, all power systems on Earth maintain power by controlling the narratives about reality.

  129. Parliment has power in the UK. Not the monarchy.
