They are an ordinary human starlit demigod changeling. They stand several inches shy of six feet
tall with a slender build. Their arms and legs are lanky, soft hands nervously balled into fists at
their side. Their most prominent three knuckles of the same hand are faintly scarred, star-shapes
etched across their skin. Their sandy skin has been reddened from exposure to the sun, causing an
array of tawny-colored freckles to appear upon their round cheeks and thin, upturned nose. A hint of
discolored flesh can be seen near the center of their sternum, mostly obscured by their clothing. A
moderately-sized, crescent-shaped scar mars their right cheek. Perhaps the most noteworthy thing
about them is their untamed mop of fiery red hair, complete with a few strands at their part that
fail to obey the natural laws of gravity. A shock of bone-white hair has grown in along their
temple. A pair of friendly gray-blue eyes gaze out from below red bangs, their color striking
against all the surrounding warm hues.

Audible well before it is visible, the spirited howls and barks of twelve gargantuan, three foot
tall huskies give away the presence of this sleigh. Coloured from a coppery brown to an albino
white, no two of the huskies appear the same apart from the harnesses linking them to each other and
the great vehicle that sits behind them. Crafted in a manner similar to an enormous tub, the
lightweight metal of this sleigh has been artfully sloped and curved by a master artisan to hold the
weight of passengers and its comfortable, plush seating whilst also keeping friction at a manageable
point for its pointed, golden runners. A young human girl with dark skin and twin, shoulder-length
braids that have been dyed a bright green lounges in the seat of the driver, the reigns to the dogs
looped over a nearby railing as she awaits passengers. Strangely enough, the sled appears to be
lifted somewhat off the ground, its gleaming runners held off the ground by a set of solid wheels
linked together within a protective shell of iron treads, allowing this sled to move even without
the presence of snow.

Night-time fog clings to the ground, shrouding your immediate surroundings from view. The faint
illumination of the night sky does little to dispel the darkness cloaking Avechna's Teeth to the
north.

here, evidenced by the blazing lights spilling from the windows.

Peak. In the depth of the night, a glimpse of silver beckons from an opening to the west, the
entrance into the Cave of Knowledge. You can spot glimpses of the jagged peaks of Avechna's Teeth to
the north, their razor edges all the more intimidating in the dark.

You have emoted: Selenity looks off the side of the sled, sitting comfortably next to Gurashi. "Wow,
this is fun already..."

Pale gold in hue, the wreath about Gurashi's brow shimmers in a steady pattern, liken a heartbeat in
its gentle pulsations, and crown Gurashi in a flickering halo before settling still once more.

You finally arrive at approaching the Path of Avechna and begin a precarious descent from the spiral
path winding about Avechna's Peak. The road is slickened by night-time moisture but the huskies
continue downwards without fear. The thunderous sound of falling water resounds to the northwest
from the Toronada Waterfall but it is near impossible to see at this hour.

Gurashi nods several times, their hands resting on the edge of the sleigh as they peer over the
side. "Yeah! And it is SO differently when see! At night? Versus day?"

The wheels of the sleigh begin to clang and rattle as they kick up the tiny pebbles that can be
found at the base of Avechna's Peak, slowing the ride considerably, but for good measure: In the
dark of the night the narrowing of the path leaves little room for error against the steep drop in
the cliffside nearby, the distant calling of crickets and night insects almost unbearably loud in
the darkness. There is a tingling sensation in your stomach, and your eyes cross briefly as the sled
quickly moves through a magical portal that you had not noticed you were headed towards.

Bouncing up and down, Gurashi, The Heart's Friend says to you, "But the Solstice Court is VERY
chilly, yes - is close to Icewynd! Oh! It is beautiful, it is!"

Watching the scenery slowly change, you ask Gurashi, "You've done this ride many times now?"

The sound of dripping water preludes the clanging of the sleigh's wheels as you crest the source of
the Toronada River, where the brisk chill of a wall of ice suddenly looms from the morning fog.
Unnaturally silent save for the noise of the sleigh, the slick, early moisture of the morning still
hangs heavy against the wall and leaves a crackle of hoarfrost with your passing disturbing the fog.

Bright and clear, Gurashi, The Heart's Friend says to you, "Mm! Well. Twice." A pause. "Thrice now!"

traveling down mountain at dusk - or sunrise? Bet looks amazing to see the sun..."

The river of ice is nearly invisible beneath the thick layer of fog, though soon it opens wide to
reveal a snow-covered hallway toward maw of ice. The moment the sleigh touches the tundra, the
wheels give way to runners, allowing the vehicle to glide easily across the snow. A shiver runs
through your body as the sled moves forward now like a ghost through the fog, quiet save for the
panting of the huskies ahead of you.

You think to yourself: Gurashi is so kind. They don't realise what things are special and
personal... to them, everything is special and impersonal, meant to be shared. What a wonderful way
to live.

Cliffs of ice surround you and a pleasant calmness surrounds the sleigh as you move slowly across a
path to Iceburn Plains. What little morning light has begun to peek through the mountains is quickly
drunken in by the fog that yet covers everything within sight, causing you to bump and jolt
occasionally as the sleigh runners catch on errant rocks lost to sight and send a startling noise
through the quiet of morning.

You have emoted: Selenity's cheeks flush faintly as she looks to Gurashi, and then back out of the
sleigh. "The huskies are really good at this, aren't they?"

Fog surrounds you as far as the eye can see as you traverse your way through a vast expanse of
glistening white ice. The sleigh runners glide easily again, no bumps or vibrations detectable at
all, and fortunately the bank of vapour is so thick that the stench of the dirt-covered snow of the
iceplains is held at bay. Entirely silent save your own breathing and the excited jangling of the
huskies, you could very well be soaring through a sea of clouds.

Gurashi nods several times, then gasps, leaning back and lowering their voice to a whisper. "Oh, we
are getting close," They say, huddling beside the sileni excitedly. "Feel the winds? Yeah, we are -
close-."

You finally pull up to arrivals at the sleighgrounds. Morning light glinting off of a path trailing
away to the northeast, you decide this is as good a time as any to disembark and get OUT of the
sleigh.

Gurashi's hands fly to their mouth as they give a short gasp of elation.

Gurashi hops up at once, then wheels around to face you, offering their hands. "We arrived!"

At the urging of the driver, Gurashi clambers out of the sleigh.

Shimmering and wavering in the air, Tombin, Steward of Solstice, is more like a wisp of fog or the
mist that comes with every exhaled breath in icy climates than a flesh and bloody creature. The
dutiful master servant has no legs, replaced by chill and hazy vapours that do not quite touch the
ground. Despite his illusory existence, his clothing appears meticulously cared for, every button
and fold in perfect order for an attendant of his station. A gleaming pocketwatch hangs from one
pocket with a feathered quill in the other. Long, fluffy ears extending from the top of his head and
wide, cerulean bright eyes betray a furrikin heritage with pristine, alabaster fur indicating a
snowshoe hare inspiration. He has a kindly and gentlemanly air about his every movement and
expression.
Tombin, Steward of Solstice looks to be crushingly strong.

solstice cheer. An enormous manor looms to the south, its windows well lit and smoke rising from its
many chimneys to indicate a warm, safe haven from the chill that permeates the surroundings.

A soft, angelic hymn precedes the arrival of Gurashi, riding Bizirik, the leothin, from the
northeast, the air itself alive with warmth and light.
Bizirik slinks in from the northeast, clicking and thrumming softly.

Sunlight billows across the realm, revealing the full glory of the majestic sun's luminous presence
as he climbs higher into the sky.

Nodding astutely with a pleased expression, Tombin, Steward of Solstice says, "Excellent choice.

Gurashi's eyes light up as they smile.

Tombin, Steward of Solstice takes the illusory quill from his pocket and writes your name in the air
with a flourish, then returns his quill. He faces you and gestures with an open palm, allowing you
admittance to the festivities.

Tombin, Steward of Solstice says, "Ah, right, be sure to visit sir Bavdo Joyheart for outdoor
entertainment."

An old gnome in impeccable attire swears softly under his breath, almost too quietly to be heard.
Realising he is not alone, he quickly opens his eyes and looks around, whispering an apology before
beginning to bandage the pricked finger he has managed to stab with a needle.

Darling It's Cold Outside.
Whilst it may still be a tad chilly in the entrance to this large stone building, the chill quickly
fades as rows upon rows of warm, sometimes fuzzy clothing can be seen and felt hanging on racks that
stretch along every corner. The only place free of their influence are two small stations in the
northeast and northwest corners, the former holding a till and counter where wares can be purchased
whilst the latter holds a great table full of tailor's tools and several pieces in the process of
construction. Although covered up by the scent of patchouli and clove, there remains a bit of a
bitter scent near the northwest corner where leather is being oiled and worked upon readily. Needle

Thick as a book and with the shape of a stylised heart, this box has been covered in soft, scarlet
felt. Bright pink lace, its edges frilled and of a lighter shade than the deeper pink of the main
strip, has been wrapped about the heart-shaped box, going from the upper-right down and across to
the lower-left side, with the two ends of the lace having been tied into a large, frilly bow over
the centre. Upon closer inspection it is easily discerned that the top of the box comes away easily
enough, while all along the sides of the box has been written an inscription in flowing, pink
script.

Painted a cheerful red, this enormous box has been built over a glass case filled with an
innumerable amount of dried biscuits that are shaped like bones. Pictures of huskies dancing on
their hind legs have been painted around a hatch near the bottom which leads out to a small bowl. A
slot exists in the middle of the box, next to a small crank which can be turned. A small note has
been written in dripping, white paint that states, "Get a biscuit! 1,000 gold each!"

As the biscuit hits the ground, it lays there tantalising for a moment. A sense of tension fills the
air and you instinctively take a step back.

Almost too fast to see, an adult husky streaks across the snow and plows through the unfortunate
drifts in its way. Leaping forward, it grabs the biscuit and a fair amount of snow in its mouth and
quickly crunches it to tiny pieces. Tail wagging happily, it looks around with newfound excitement,
nosing about to investigate.
Making enough noise to wake the dead, an enormous husky bounds up to you from one of the huts,
silenced only as it makes short work of devouring the treat left out.
