Dear Reader,

As you may or may not have noticed the transgender community is fighting for civil rights in several states, and I am hoping as a big part of the community you will do your part to help us fight this.

As you may know in North Carolina they basically made it legal to discriminate regarding use of restrooms for trans people, putting the trans community at risk of harm, and dangerous situations.

I am a trans girl, meaning I was raised male, but I identify fully as female, and I live my life as female. This includes the need to use the girl's rest room. Restrooms to most people may seem like just a restroom, but to the trans community, it can be a matter of great importance, and safety.

The people who are fighting against our right to use restroom matching our gender identity use false logic, thinking it would prevent sexual predators, but there have been no reported cases of such a thing happening.  In truth, even if a predator wanted to do this, the restroom laws would not sway them, stop it, or even prevent it.

The second argument is privacy, but my mind matches that of a girl, so the only violation of privacy would be if I was forced to use the male restroom.

The third argument people use is religious freedom, which is by far the most messed up, seeing as it's a public place. In that set of mind they'd like ban transgender people from society completely, and that's just stupid and immoral.

So I ask you: please help us and fight this, so that gender identity can be recognized. Do your part in the community. protect equality. Protect the free world.
