  8.
  9. ::Goal::
  10. Trigger the end screen of all 42 levels and beat the game on the selected difficulty, collecting everything listed below.
  11.
  12. • All Secret Chips
  13. • All Speed Chips
  14. • 6 Batterys
  15. • Lvl 2+3 Arm Servos
  16. • Lvl 1+2 Scope
  17. • All Weapon Tiers - upgraded using EUKs
  18.
  19. ::Nuance::
  20. You may replay a level for a Secret Chip, but you will have to collect all the Secret Chips in that level at once for the game to count them all as collected.
  21.
  22. ::Proof::
  23. Video proof is required showing from the beginning of profile creation until the end screen of the level in which you achieved 100% completion. Runs may be rejected for poor video quality at the Verifier's discretion.
  24.
  25. ::WR Timing::
  26. Cumulative IGT (In Game Time) + RTA (Real Time) of partially completed levels.
  27.
  28. ::IGT Table and IGT Sum::
  29. All runners are required to mark down their in game time (IGT) shown at the end of each level in the runs description. If a level is played to completion twice, both end screen times will count towards IGT. If a level is not finished and doesn't have an endscreen; the RTA timing of that partial completion will be added instead. The total of these times is the value for the "In Game Time" column on the leaderboards.
  30.
  31. ::RTA Timing (Optional, but encouraged)::
  32. Starts when you take control of Glitch and ends at the fade to black of the level on which you achieved 100% completion.
  33.
  34. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
  35.
  36. ::Controls::
  37.
  38. • Triggers may only be mapped to triggers and sticks to sticks. The same input (with the exception of melee) cannot be mapped twice.
  39.
  40. • Controller Inputs must be 1:1 no macros or turbo.
  41.

  92. • All Secret Chips

  99.
  100. Note: If you miss a secret chip/speed chip you can go back to menu and replay a level to earn it, as long as you do so before you complete the "Final Battle" with General Corrosive. Due to how MA keeps track of Secret chips you will have to collect all the chips in that level again not just the one you missed for the menu to count them all as collected. If you do not finish Final Battle with all guns and relevant upgrades in your inventory then your run is void.

  119.

  122.

  124.

  126.
  127. • Any changes to the game source files are banned

  136.
  137. ::Tips / Notes::
  138.
  139. • It is ideal to not create a profile as it saves over a minute on all consoles by skipping the saving profile screen.
  140. (With the exception of crashes/soft-locks there is no risk unless you're Friendo and press B on level complete screens)
  141.
  142. • Metal Arms is incompatible with most PS3 systems
  143. (See https://www.speedrun.com/metal_arms_glitch_in_the_system/guide/1tlax for reference)
  144.
  145. • Playstation is the only version to have skippable cutscenes. Its added time is the exact time advantage it has over other consoles.
