  1. Name: Abe Noriko
  2. Roster: Zebstrika, Tyrantrum (Concept: Reckless; Dragon/Dark), Rampardos, Pidgeot (Mega)
  3.
  4. 1. State your character's general concept, in terms of their intended playstyle and what it is that they're trying to accomplish.
  5.
  6. Description: Long black hair with white highlights, usually pulled back into a bun and tied off with a feathered ornament. She has a fair complexion with striking makeup: bright red lipstick with winged eyeliner and dark eyeshadow. She has several scars on her face and many across her whole body, which she does not try to hide. She sticks out heavily compared to her family's typically more conservative standards. She is fairly well toned and on the taller side of the women in her family, though in her kamishimo she seems almost frail compared to her more masculine counterparts.
  7.
  8. Noriko is a vindictive swordswoman from Akitsu. She is a very close and personal fighter, relentless in her attacks to the point of recklessness. In terms of what she's trying to accomplish, recent developments in her personal life have resulted in a temporary exile from her home, but more than that, the purpose she had been groomed for has been lost. Not content to put up her sword and join the ranks of politicians, she's resolved to travel the world and fight to find a new purpose.
  9.
  10. 2. What's your character's home like? What made them stand out to be scouted as EGGs? Were they glad to be able to leave home to serve the League, or do they get homesick and have to come back every now and then?
  11.
  12. Hailing from Akitsu, Noriko's family resides in the heart of their former namesake, the Abe Domain, which has since been replaced by Shimizu Prefecture. Though no longer directly serving as the daimyo, the family was still heavily involved in the prefecture's police force and politics and members were frequently elected as governor. As an industrious port, the region has always prospered and that shows no signs of slowing with increasing globalization. However, this prosperity has invited the eyes of many outside and organized influences, and while reported crime rates are low, it is well known that the Ninkyo have been ramping up their operations in Shimizu. As part of their growth, they have slowly chipped away at how the citizens view the Abe family. Where once they were the beloved protectors and representatives of the people, they are now seen as vigilantes who interfere in the lives of others.
  13.
  14. Beyond their historical claim to fame, the Abe family was also known for a particular quirk: though their words and deeds were certainly heroic in their own right, the family was known to have a preternatural knack for inspiration and instilling camaraderie in their allies and subjects. Between this capability and the weight of their political might, they have had a long standing relationship with the Extranormal Guidance Group when operating in Akitsu. In modern times, few family members have been granted the gift of inspiration, and many of the youngest generation have found themselves awakening entirely new powers, Noriko included. Her own power is the ability to awaken and restore to form the revenant of beings that died with considerable regrets or unfulfilled desires. Fed up with the loss of her birthright, Noriko has sought out the EGGs as a means to explore the world and find her true purpose. Though it pains her to leave her home, she has resolved not to return until she has discovered her place in the world.
  15.
  16. 3. What's the most important thing to your character that they've lost in their life? It could be a person, an opportunity, a philosophy, anything.
  17.
  18. A sense of purpose. She was raised to be a guardian and protector, however the passage of time has corrupted her birthright and those she would gladly defend now consider her a menace. She has lost all sight of her goals and has struck out to find new ones.
  19.
  20. 4. What legendary does your character have? The legal legendaries are most Trios, mascot characters, (ie Mew or Jirachi), and other more "minor" legendaries. If you're unsure if a legendary is legal, ask me. What Concept does this Pact Beast represent? (Legendaries will have a single Aura, which will have effects based on this Concept. Don't worry about confining them to the ones in Blessed and the Damned) In the process of bonding with this Conceptual Pact Beast, what kind of trial did they have to overcome? (Be creative. A test of character of some sort related to the Concept is preferable to a straight trial by combat.) Despite the previous oneshot, all the legendaries are still open for use, just make sure you fluff the legend differently and have them embody a different concept. Fakemon are okay, as are especially snowflakey variants of non-legends.
  21.
  22. Concept: Recklessness
  23. Legendary: Tyrantrum (Dragon/Dark)

  25. Trial Epilogue: https://pastebin.com/p2WeLB3S
  26.
  27. 5. What does your character hate? If they don't truly hate anything, why? Can they stay calm around it? What does your character find most satisfying to do? Do they have any hobbies?
  28.
  29. Injustice and inaction. When she witnesses something she deems unjust, she is nigh incapable of keeping herself from interfering. Her family always fostered a sense of camaraderie and she enjoys working with and getting to know others, as well as virtually any form of competition.
  30.
  31. 6. How did your character bond with their first Pact Beast? Do they still use that Pact Beast, or was the Pact dissolved? Did that relationship mean anything for that character?
  32.
  33. Like all members of her family, she was taught to ride at a young age. While learning, she bonded with a young Ponyta, which served a dual purpose of rehabilitation: at a young age, the Ponyta had wandered away from the herd during a severe thunderstorm. Though it was rescued before suffering any physical harm, it had acquired a significant fear of any crashing or thunderous sounds. The Ponyta and the girl got on well together and the horse grew less skittish, but they were meant to charge into combat if necessary. It was an ill-fitted mount for the girl and they parted ways, however the girl would still retain a strong emotional relationship with it. It taught her that not everyone needed to be a fighter and inspired her to be twice as strong to protect those in need.
  34.
  35. 7. What does your character see themselves trying to accomplish in the future? How does that tie in to their work as EGGs right now? Does your character believe in destiny?
  36.
  37. She is currently lost and struggling to find what it is she wants in life, and consequently cannot see where she'll be in the future. To this end, she has undertaken an eclectic array of missions to try to learn more about herself. She was formerly a big believer in destiny, however having what she believed to be her role taken from her has left her feeling hollow and angry.
  38.
  39. 8. Pick a song that resonates with your character, preferably something you can link on youtube or whatnot. Why does it resonate? Don't worry about it being an outright defining "theme", it doesn't have to be that strong.

  42. Noriko was raised with the belief that her family had a strong moral responsibility for leading and protecting others. However, as she began to come of age, she started to notice that her own views of her family didn't quite match up with the public perception and the world is a lot more grey than she previously believed. Additionally, she believed the Ninkyo to be unrepentantly evil only to discover that they are known to actually do some good and have their own ethical motivations, even if they are unmistakably more violent and regularly break the law. Without a clear idea of the reality of the situation, she has resolved to be her own moral compass to figure out what's right and wrong and she doesn't particularly care how she comes across to others if she is doing what she believes is the right thing. As a result, she comes across as something of a delinquent compared to her family members.
  43.
  44. 9. List any expectations you have for this oneshot SHORT CAMPAIGN, any input you want to give on the setting, and other general things here.
  45.
  46. The map song from Dora the Explorer. And maybe some bees
  47.
  48. 10. List your availability. Currently, I, the GM, am available on Thursday nights and all day Saturday, but I'll be having my Sundays open up sometime in July or August so if that's when people are available I'll postpone the game starting until that opens up.
  49.
  50. Currently open whenever. The earlier side of Saturday might be unavailable-ish soon, but still flexible.
