You see Twilight in her usual spot behind the checkout counter.

Today she is hurriedly scribbling down information onto flash cards. She's fully engaged, and hasn't noticed you yet.

Would you like to approach her?

You move and sit next to Twilight behind the counter. She gives you a smile, and

the two of you start to study.

As usual, today's topics are well over your head, though you do seem to be

grasping the concepts behind them a little better now.

After a particularly brutal flash-card quiz, Twilight sighs and lets her limbs

go slack.

Twilight: 5 out of 20? That's lower than last time. I need a break.

Laying limply under the soft, artificial light, Twilight looks absolutely exhausted.

As though feeling your eyes on her, she looks to you and smiles.

>Option 1 - Should we go back to single topics?

	Twilight: Not at all! I'm enjoying the challenge.

	Twilight's smile widens as she turns her attention to the cards.

	Twilight: It might sound silly, but mixing the topics reminds me of a quiz game.

	Twilight: Did you know I was Captain of the Trivia team at my last school?

	You give Twilight a suspicious look, which causes the girl to blush as she quickly adds to the list.

	Twilight: And Debate and Math teams.

	She squirms a little under your continued stare before finally sighing.

	Twilight: Okay, maybe I was in charge of my school's chapter of the Daring Doo fanclub too.

	Despite her obviously red cheeks, Twilight continues to smile.

	Twilight: Anyway, keep the questions coming as they are; it helps me stay in a familiar element.

>Option 2 - The number you get correct keeps dropping.

	Just like that, Twilight's smile disappears.

	Twilight: Yeah, I know; I'm a little worried about it too.

	Twilight: It wouldn't be a big deal if the number was staying steady, but at the start of the day I was averaging around ten.

	Sighing, she closes her eyes.

	Twilight: I thought I was getting the hang of the mixed topic questions, but now I'm not so sure...

>Option 3 - Is the test really this rigorous?

	Twilight: Oh, absolutely!

	There's a somewhat masochistic look in Twilight's eyes as she explains.

	Twilight: Every year the test has a pool of several thousands of questions to pull from.

	Twilight: The test is electronic and pulls questions at random for each individual test.

	Twilight: Between the small selection list and the massive pool of questions, knowing what's coming it is almost impossible.

	Pausing long enough to take a few small breaths, Twilight grins at you.

	Twilight: But the challenge makes it exciting too.

Twilight allows her body to hang loose for a little while longer, before straightening up and looking back to her books.

Twilight: In any case, thank you for coming to help me out; I'm sure there are better ways you could be spending your time.

Looking around the library, she wrinkles her nose a little.

Twilight: I sometimes think that there are ways I would rather be spending my time, honestly.

Twilight: But that can wait until after I finish the test.

>Option 1 - You're looking to go party, right?

	Twilight stare at you for a moment, then giggles.

	Twilight: Real funny, [Player]. The whole party-thing is not my scene.

	Twilight: I mean, it might be nice, but the lights and the sound, they're really too much for me.

	Twilight: But I appreciate the vote of confidence.

>Option 2 - Catching up with your friends?

	Twilight: That's a big part of it, yes.

	A happy smile works its way onto Twilight's face.

	Twilight: I want to be able to see them, and apologize for boxing them out while I studied.

	Twilight: And make it up to them, of course. I can't do that now, but soon...

>Option 3 - Reading books that aren't for study?

	Twilight: Oh my gosh, you have no idea.

	Offering up an exhausted sigh, Twilight leans her cheek onto her palm.

	Twilight: It feels like an age since I sequestered myself in here, and almost all I've done is study.

	Twilight: And not even the exciting kind, where I'm learning new, practical things I can use.

	Sighing again, Twilight closes her eyes and tries to smile.

	Twilight: But as soon as I'm done with the test, I'm going to go to the nearest bookstore and pick up so many new releases.

	Twilight keeps her eyes closed for a long while, reveling in the thought of her reading material becoming unshackled.

Focusing back on you and the pile of cards, she looks at you with a determined smile.

Twilight: OK, that's enough for now. We're on the cusp of a breakthrough, I can just tell.

Twilight: Go ahead and shuffle those cards, and lets get started.

You do as your told and set back to work testing Twilight's knowledge.

The changes are small, but you can see her gradually getting better.

The two of you continue this quiz process for the rest of your time together.
