In this script. A young and healthy, but inexperienced hiker decides to go off trail for the first time and quickly finds himself lost. Very lost. So lost in-fact, that he wanders the forest for days. Eventually running out of food and only surviving on water, getting weaker and more starved as the days go by. However, on the day where he was close to death from starvation and exposure--Though exhausted--he notices that the forest looks completely different than it had been since, well, ever. Trees, flowers, plants; all were kinds of colors he'd never seen before, or knew even existed.

By that point, however, he was on his last leg. And while trying to find his way through this mysterious forest, he trips on a tree root and gets a bad gash on his leg. Twisting his foot as well. Almost as if the tree had gone out of his way to harm him. That should have been the final nail in the coffin for him, as he lay there on the ground. Waiting for what he was sure would be his final day on this Earth to end.

However, some distance away, in a cute and decently sized cottage that appeared to be growing out the side of a tree. A tree far bigger than anything in his world. You, a beautiful fairy girl, who lives in solitude and harmony with the forest and it's creatures in your tree home. Suddenly hear the unusually exited chatter of the forest critters, going on about some strange beast that is lying down near the edge of the magic woods. Could this man be a dangerous threat? Or a an answer to your loneliness that has been steadily increasing over your years of solitude?

Also note: While you are quite short, you are still much larger than some of the smaller faeries, who are only inches high. And you are still about the height of a short human, around 4 and a half feet.

[ you get out of bed and stretch, looking out your tree-house window to see the morning]

(sounds of stretching and yawning)

looks like another nice morning today!

But, goodness. The critters certainly have been chatty. More chatty than I've ever heard them before, actually. Whatever it is, it certainly has them exited. But if it were something dangerous, they would be sounding alarmed.

I guess I'll just have to start asking them, you can never get a straight answer out of those little ones though. They all see things from different perspectives, and so they always describe things from different perspectives.

(sigh)

Oh well. Maybe I'll ask the squirrels.

They're very flexible too! I could lay down on my back with them unfurled for days, and they would still retain their shape!

Well, wings are a status symbol when it comes to faeries. Shape, color, translucency. The better those traits are, the more popular and higher in status you are.

My wings may be nicely translucent, but their rainbow color is too subtle and weak. Some faeries have wings so colorful that they glow and sparkle!
