>be Anon, currently in the backyard with your lover, Ralsei, who is currently enjoying his day off of work by reading one of the many books he brought from the library
>A few days after the camping trip the two of you had, you and him have divulged more time into the topic of magic, after having briefly talked more about it during your time in the forest
>You've known ever since you first met Ralsei that he was quite proficient when it came to magical spells related to healing and such. Although you have never really gotten injured to the point where it was life threatening, you got to see some of his potential when you sprained your ankle after a hike, and when he provided you with a massage
>It was so impressive to see him do his spells. The cute prayer-like stance he'd make when preparing a spell, and the bright golden energy that would form underneath him. It was always quite the sight to behold.
>Not to mention the near overwhelming feeling of comfort and peace when the light was directed onto you, and the obvious after effects of your injuries being either severely reduced or removed completely.
>This goat was something truly special, to say the least
>And you were more than grateful to have him in your life.
>”Hmm… Anon? It says here that humans are actually capable of magic to some degree. I thought humans were completely incapable of it?”
>You smile as you walk over and sit down beside him after double checking your garden, “Well… we are capable of it, but only when we reach full maturity, which is at 18.”
>”But as for me, I've never really tried to practice any magic whatsoever. The most I can do is some simple firestarter magic, and even then I don't like to use it much because of the massive headache I get afterwards.”
>”I see… is human magic more mentally focused then?”
>”More or less. I know that monster magic is more emotionally driven and SOUL focused, but as far as human magic goes, it's rigid and mental.”
>Ralsei nods as he continues to read the book for a few moments longer, “Would… you like to learn more magic, Anon? I could help you!” He beams up at you with his signature heart melting smile
>You wrap an arm around him and hug your gote, “I'd appreciate that Rals, but for now let's focus on your spells. I don't think I know enough of the basics for anything higher than firestarters anyways.” You admit sheepishly
>Ralsei looks a little downtrodden at this, but nods understandingly and nuzzles into your chest, with you kissing one of his pink horns, making the gote giggle
>”That's okay, Anon. I think I'm ready to try mine out though!”
>You look down at him and smile, “Already? I know you're a fast learner and all, but jeez.”
>Ralsei blushes and looks down, twiddling his thumbs a bit as he smiles shyly, “I-I just like to l-learn new things is all…”
>You boop the gote's nose with your finger and smirk, giving him a quick peck on the cheek, “Nothing wrong with that, silly~ You just get more talented and special. And give me another reason as to why I love you~”
>”A-Anooon… h-hehe~” He giggles bashfully as he nuzzles you, his face burning with a blush as he stands up with you
>You grab your glass of lemonade that Ralsei made earlier on in the day and drink the rest of it, thankful that he made it after knowing that today was gonna be a warmer day than usual.
>It was ice cold, refreshing, and quite sweet. Not unbearably so, but there was no hint of sourness whatsoever. No pulp or seeds either. It was perfect
>Like your prince before you, who is currently setting the spellbook aside after giving it a final lookover
>”Ready, Ral-Ral?” You ask, calling him by the nickname that gets him so flustered. In hindsight, it probably wasn't the best thing to do when he was trying to focus, but it didn't seem to divert the gote's focus much.
>”R-ready, Anon.”
>You nod, sat before Ralsei as he takes a deep breath to relax.
>”You got this, honey.”
>Ralsei nods once and closes his eyes, putting his paws together in his classic prayer-like fashion, only this time, instead of a golden light forming below him, it is now a light blue color, gently swirling around him instead of it flaming upwards
>If his healing spells were sight to behold, this one was another thing entirely.
>As Ralsei very quietly whispered some words that you couldn't make out, he slides his paws up and down against one another and slowly moving his paws beside himself
>Then, he began to levitate before your eyes.
>Slowly, but surely, the light blueish energy formed small vortexes from his paws to the ground, expanding the higher he got, until he was hovering about a foot above you, his focused, determined look now replaced with one of sheer joy
>”It's working, Anon! I learned my new spell!” Ralsei squealed happily, moving himself side to side a little as he tested his maneuverability
>”I knew you'd have this, Rals! I never doubted you for a second!” You smile, the winds from the vortexes causing a little bit of a mess, but it's nothing major and nothing the two of you couldn't clean up.
>Besides, you didn't mind the cool relaxing breeze it made, especially with how hot today was
>”I think I ca- aah!”
>Before he can finish his sentence, Ralsei gasps as the vortexes suddenly dissipate, leaving the gote to freefall to the ground below.
>Fortunately, he didn't, thanks to you and your lightning reflexes, the gote landing comfortably in your arms, albeit with you grunting due to the sudden weight
>He wasn't heavy by any means, but still.
>”You good, Ralsei?” You ask as you look down at your gote, clutching his sunhat tight with one paw as he looks up at you, his other paw resting on your chest as he blushes
>”Y-yeah, I'm okay Anon, I'm okay, just lost my focus is all, haha… thank you~” He says bashfully, nuzzling under your chin as you chuckle and give him a squeeze before setting him back down on his feet.
>”Aside from that little tumble, that was incredible Rals!” You smile proudly and hand the gote his lemonade, taking it happily and drinking it
>”Mmm, thank you Anon! H-honestly… that was probably the first spel I have ever learned since I mastered fire magic. It feels good to try more!”
>There was just something so wonderful about seeing your prince so happy and fulfilled. No matter if it was through your efforts or his own
>You just can't help but smile like an idiot.
>He deserves as much.
>”You said you had another spell you learned while I was a work last time, right?” You ask as Ralsei walks over and stands beside a water bucket, nodding
>”Mhm! I think I have just enough energy to try this one out… ready, Anon?”
>You nod, quite excited to see his final spell.
>...
>You begin thinking of that one TV show when you were a kid, about a bunch of characters being able to bend different elements
>...shit, does all this make Ralsei an Avatar?
>These thoughts are all but confirmed as you see Ralsei's paws motion above the bucket, his eyes closed as he silently whispers to himself, focused as the water slowly begins to flow up to his paws
>The water doesn't make contact with him whatsoever but it flows around his arms in a coil-like fashion, slowly swirling around his body in thin streams, then, suddenly, he quickly moves his paws in a different motion, the swirls of thin water being controlled with ease as they form into a couple of streams, flowing behind his arms
>You watch with a look of awe and child-like wonder as Ralsei ‘bends’ the water to his will, moving about and making unique movements, as if he's ribbon dancing, only the ribbons are made of pure water
>You've never seen anything like this… but seeing Ralsei doing so gracefully… so effortlessly… you can't help but feel proud and amazed.
>His eyes are still closed, a small smile on his face as he gets a little more bold with his movements, jumping and skipping around a little, twirling his body in movement with the water
>Ralsei opens his eyes, smiling at you as he directs the flow of water over to you all of a sudden, the suddenness of it making you flinch for a split second, making Ralsei giggle a little
>You look around and above you as the water swirls rapidly around you, almost enveloping you as small drops hit your face now and then
>Nothing uncomfortable, quite welcomed actually.
>Well, that was until all of the water swirled above your head
>and it all splashed right down onto you.
>You yell in surprise, covering your eyes, now soaking wet thanks to the clumsy gote
>”A-anon! Oh dear, oh dear! I'm s-sorry! I lost my focus with it!” Ralsei immediately goes over to you and grabs a towel from beside his books, doing his best to dry you off
>You clear your eyes and smile at Ralsei. Sure you were quite upset at suddenly being drenched, but it was technically a blessing in disguise due to the heat
>...and you could never really stay mad at your prince for long. Especially when you know it was just a simple mistake.
>”It's fine Rals, accidents happen. That entire act you did with the water was beautiful though.”
>”You really think so, Anon?” He asks, blushing a little as he pats and gently rubs your face dry
>”Yeah, just focus a bit more and I'm sure you could do even better things with it.”
>”I just wanted to give you a little entertainment is all… I-I didn't mean for that to happen!”
>You kiss and hug Ralsei, hearing him squeak as he pouts cutely at you, since now some of his clothes were wet due to the hug
>”Well, I think that's enough spells for now. Maybe later tonight I can show you a little bit of my own magic when we stargaze.”
>Ralsei nods, holding your hand as he takes off his sunhat, following you back inside of your home as the two of you plan on cleaning up via a cold, relaxing shower.
>Later on in the day, you manage to start a little campfire with your own fire magic, albeit at the cost of a painful headache, but it was nothing Ralsei couldn't fix. And thanks to you, the two of you made some well cooked sausages over the controlled fire, pointing up at several meteorites while watching a small space documentary on your phone.
>A simple, relaxing day. Nothing too eventful, but always fufilling.
>You can't help but smile and hold your prince close as he points out all the constellations he's come to memorize, enjoying the night with him as you always have before.
