  14. Dandelion is not unlike the seeds of his namesake: light and beholden only to the wind for direction. Wherever he is, wherever he's going, Dandelion moves with an easy unhurriedness and a smile. His eyes, more often than not, are atwinkle with a flicker of light, mirth, and a healthy dose of flirtatiousness (if the company and mood is right).
  15.
  16. A wordsmith by trade, Dandelion is always assessing the world with a writer's eye: whatever he's looking at, he's probably thinking how best to put it to music, fit it into poetry, or work it into a book.
  17.
  18. This attitude is how he wound up once purposefully visiting a lair troubled by Shade-touched creatures -- he'd intended to write about it, either in a serial novel or a series of ballads. When Dust came to the lair to put things to rights, the latter turned out to be more fitting. After the impressive showdown between Dust and assorted Shade-touched monstrosities the likes of which Dandelion'd never seen before or since, he spent the remainder of the month working on what he considers his finest ballad. It's a long piece in the style of Classic Highland Scrub, and immortalises Dust's intense battle against the forces of the void.
  19.
  20. Of course he had to share it with her. After the ballad was finished, he tracked Dust down and shared his work with her. She seemed to think he was trying to play a joke on her, until she listened to his performance of it. Then something changed in her. Perhaps it was that, in his ballad, Dust saw the truest reflection of herself she'd ever seen anywhere. No one's entirely sure, and no one's entirely sure they should ask for the whole story. In any case, it can truly be said the only thing Dandelion loves more than a good joke and good company is Dust -- and the only thing Dust loves more than justice and a worthwhile fight is Dandelion.
