  12. • Build automation script using shell on Linux and Windows active directory
  13. • Linux server management (Hardening), automation(Scripting) and database software (Oracle, MySQL)
  14. • Windows Server Administration, Domains, shares, account management
  15. • Basic Networking: Tracing, Ping, Traceroute, DNS
  16. • Web Application Server setup and management
  17. • sFTP/FTP Server Setup and management
  18. • General Desktop Support (Windows and Mac environment)
  19. • General Hardware support
  20. • General Virtual Machine configuration
  21. • Oracle Knowledge is an asset (DB and WebLogic)
  22. • Installs, database update and back up, restore and recovery processes
  23. • Oracle Backup/Recovery RMAN is an asset

  35. Job Description
  36. We are looking for an exceptional intermediate level technical support analyst/generalist. As a member of the CanDeal support team, you will assist in supporting all aspects of the infrastructure and ensure the highest level of service to all participants. You will also provide second line support for any technical issues escalated from the Customer Service Desk.
  37. Primary Duties
  38. • Support in house desktop hardware
  39. • Ensure desktop O/S, virus and applications are kept up to date
  40. • Patch management of servers
  41. • Support for Exchange Server
  42. • Support Symantec Endpoint Protection SEP 12.1.5 or above
  43. • Trouble shoot and resolve desktop or network related issues
  44. • Create a standard secure desktop/server image (Linux – REHAL, CentOS, Debian, Windows)
  45. • Provide second level support to help desk for client related connectivity/application issues
  46. • Support for TIBCO
  47. • Assist in testing new applications and releases surrounding trade system
  48. • Support various database types – MySQL, MSSQL, etc.
  49. • Support sftp/ftps services for incoming data files
  50. • Support remote access capabilities for staff
  51. • Support MS Office
  52. • Assist in trouble shooting network issues with network support team
  53. • Support for staff Blackberrys, Androids and iPhones – bring your own device (BYOD)
  54. • Support numerous Bourne shell scripts
  55. • Support VB scripts
  56. • Support Cisco VPN
  57. • Knowledge of VLANs and Cisco Switches
  58. • Knowledge of VMWare Host and Guest setup and config
  59. • Support VoIP services
  60. • Configuring and installing new desktop and server systems
  61. • Create/update operational documentation as required
  62. • Must be available for after hours support typically through remote access

  65. Required Skills
  66. • Demonstrated experience with MS Windows XP/7, Windows Server 2003/2008 O/S
  67. • Demonstrated experience with Linux – REHL, Debian and CentOS
  68. • Demonstrated experience with MS Remote Access Server
  69. • Demonstrated experience with Cisco VPN
  70. • Proficient with MS Office 2010
  71. • Demonstrated experience with MS Exchange Server 2003/2007/2010
  72. • Demonstrated experience with networks and network equipment (switches/routers)
  73. • Demonstrated experience in creating Bourne shell scripts
  74. • Demonstrated experience in creating VB scripts
  75. • Demonstrated troubleshooting skills.
  76. • Superb analytical skills: Ability to think “outside-the-box” to resolve problems
