  1. It’s been a few weeks since your “date” with Gal. It took some time to getting used to the…event you were in, but thankfully, only you and Gal knew about that incident.
  2.
  3. The Darkworld had appeared here and there, but you were able to get through fine with Thantos and your magic, though everyone knew about your new weapon at that point. Tekina, Akemi and Satomi were all interested in it, how it could create swords and chains out of what seemed to be out nowhere. Tekina and Satomi asking to pop it open and see what’s going on in there and Akemi…wanting to make some attachments like a firecracker launcher. Thanatos said no.
  4.
  5. Tonight is another night into the Darkworld. Since you have some last minute down time, you think about some improvements you can make, either magically, technically, or physically. You ponder over these options as you pet Armos.
  6.
  7. >Work on Thanatos
  8. >Work on Magic
  9. >Work out
  10.
  11.
  12. >Work on Magic: 81
  13.
  14. You decided that you would work on your magic with a few books you got from Reiji (nice guy, but needs to decide if he wants to date Hoshi or not) and from Yuji, the history teacher who also does magic for some reason. Opening them up, you start to study the magical formulas and the pronunciations to cast them. You proceed to make your way out to the track where some test dummies are located to test them out.
  15.
  16. The track is mostly clear, with what seems to be Rei and Isamu running around the place and training, though you think you saw Rei stare at Isamu’s body when he went to wipe off his sweat. Jesus, when were they going to bang? Thinking not much more, you go and cast on the dummies.
  17.
  18. You decide to start with the simple elemental spells, those were always easy to cast. A lance of rock pierces one, a water blade cuts another one in half, and a large fireball sets them ablaze. You try to cast the wind spell, but it pitters out before it hits. Seems like you’ll need to work a bit more on the wind element than the others. You think about what you can use for your lightning spells for, but then you remember you don’t really have any defensive options. Deciding, you try to envision a wall of lightning.
  19. “Thunder Wall!” you shout, a ten foot wall rising in front of you, having about the thickness half that. You shoot a fire ball at it and it fizzles out, not doing much to the wall. You continue until the eighth fire ball until it starts to crack. Not enough to stop some of the larger Darkworlders, but enough to stop or reduce their attacks and get out of the way.
  20.
  21. There’s not much time left before the meet up, but there was two spells you were wondering about, Ascent and Descent. Ascent was a “buff” if you thinking game logic, increasing the body beyond their limits while Descent was a “debuff”. You’re not sure if you’ll be able to cast them, but you have to try.
  22.
  23. >ROLL B03 1D100+5
  24.
  25.
  26. >51
  27.
  28. “Acscent,” You say, waiting for the spell. You stand there not feeling any different. You try a few more times, but feel no different. You then try out Descent, but get the same results. Curious, you pull out the book again and look over the section. You continue to read on, but find a spot where you can’t read.
  29.
  30. “The fuck? Dammit, looks like I’ll have to translate this after I come back. It’s almost time to go.” You shut the book and run back to your shed, getting ready for the night. You step into the classroom, finding all your classmates all huddled up and planning. Well, except PJ. He’s apparently attached himself to Dazzhite’s back like a monkey.
  31.
  32. “Ah, Shonin, you’re here,” Joe says. “We’re discussing the plan for tonight.” Urging Joe to continue, he explains. “A group of us are going to go and back up Class 1 as they’ve been having some trouble recently with some of the stronger Darkworlders attacking them for some reason. But worry not, we’ll protect them like Yamato would’ve wanted us to.”
  33.
  34. “Joe, Yamato went crazy, remember? If Dazzhite didn’t kill him in a brutal way, he would’ve killed a good portion of us before raping Alice,” you say.
  35.
  36. “THAT WASN’T HIM. IT WAS THE CHARMER!” Joe shouted, getting up in your face. A silence is hung in air before Joe backs off. “I apologize for my outburst, you know how I am about that topic.”
  37. “Yeah, yeah. Let’s just get ready to kick some arse, alright?” Dazzhite says before knocking a back a beer and crushing it. “I’m ready to make some seekers cry.”
  38.
  39. A few minutes go by before you hear shouting from the hall. “YOU DIDN’T NEED TO SCARE HER OFF, YOU ASSHOLE.”
  40.
  41. “BITCH, SHE TOOK MY MONEY.”
  42.
  43. “SHE WOULD’VE GAVE IT BACK.”
  44.
  45. “Fucking hell, again?” you whisper before the world shifts.
  46.
  47. You never enjoyed that, the feeling of weightlessness always made your stomach churl. You see the class split up into two, one with Joe leading, and the other with Dazzhite at the front. Seems like they’re going off to help Class 2/3. Seems like you have a choice.
  48.
  49. >Class 1 Help
  50. >Class 2 Help
  51.
  52.
  53. >Class 1 Help
  54.
  55. You walk to the right, going with Joe’s group. You see some the stronger students, Slice, Billy, Mayon, Clarence, Gal. You march onwards to Class 1, taking in the sights. Large cliff sides on each side of you, the valley you’re in leading to ruins. Some small fry here and there, but nothing that you can’t take on.
  56.
  57. It isn’t long until stairs are seen leading the ruins, a large cylinder dome covering the top riddled with holes. “Who do you think this belonged to?” Billy asked.
  58.
  59. “A Demi-Demon? Arch-Demon? Regardless, we need to get past this,” Joe says, walking onwards. You climb the stairs into a series of halls before you reach another pair going downwards, leading into a courtyard filled with graves.
  60.
  61. “H-how many do you think are there?” Gal says.
  62.
  63. “I’m not sure, but I don’t like this. I say we go another route.” Snip replies.
  64.
  65. “Agreed. Let’s go and find another pat-Billy, what are you doing?”
  66.
  67. “I dropped one of my dice, calm down, Joe I’m not touching any-“is all Billy could say before an arm came from the ground and grabbed him by the leg.
  68.
  69. “JESUS, GET IT OFF!” He slashes at the arm, cutting it off by the wrist and backing off. It seems that caused a chain reaction and more arms popped out of the graves, some still with flesh, others pure bone. Bodies soon followed, quickly rising and pulling themselves out and rushing towards your group.
  70.
  71. “Go, go, go!” is all you say before running off, the rest hopefully following. Thankfully, you hear footsteps, but nearly everyone else overtakes you and rushes ahead.
  72.
  73. “Shit, Joe! His leg is busted!” Clarence says, before you hear a bellow.
  74.
  75. “Go on, I’ll hold them off the best I can. This isn’t nearly enough to take down Joe, knight of Yamato!”
  76.
  77. Nodding, you all continue to run, but more ghouls come from the windows and chase your group. You all dispatch them the best you can, but they just keep coming. Soon, it’s to the point where you can’t even keep up with the group. But thankfully Gal is by your side, slashing the ghouls while you blast them with swords and magic.
  78.
  79. Roll to survive BO3
  80.
  81.
  82. >92
  83.
  84. With the two of you, you’re able to cull the horde enough so that you’re able to escape into another hallway, though not before more ghouls come out and attack you. Thankfully, your Thunder Wall is good enough to stop them and even electrocute them from coming your way.
  85.
  86. Gal turns a corner, dragging you along with her as you reach another courtyard, devoid of enemies, but your allies are not in sight.
  87.
  88. “We’re in a real mess, aren’t we, Gal?” You pant.
  89.
  90. “Aw, not like we haven’t been this bad before, right?”
  91.
  92. “Well, we still need to get with the others. Which way do you think they are?”
  93.
  94. “Not sure, but, was that person always there?” Gal says pointing at one of the spires. You turn and see a silhouette sitting there, the cloud blocking the moon, before drifting away shown her.
  95.
  96. Long black hair, a black cape and a black-red claw out what seems to be her left hand. “Jesus, what emo convention did she come from?” you whisper.
  97.
  98. “I think we should be less insulting her and more moving on. She doesn’t seem human.” You raise your COMP to scan at her, and it seems that Gal is correct. The readings are showing that whoever they are, they’re not human.
  99.
  100. “Alright fine, lets-“A beep is heard from your COMP before a message from Thanatos comes up.
  101.
  102. *She has us in her sights according to my sensors. I’m afraid we’ll have to engage.*
  103.
  104. Immediately afterwards, she jumps down from the spire and lands in in the middle of the courtyard, her arm shifting to one covered in bandages.
  105.
  106. “Intruders, eh? Trying to steal what little I have left?” Says the woman, her voice rough and soft.
  107.
  108. “N-no, we just took a wrong turn!” Gal says, trying to lie.
  109.
  110. “Your sweat and shifty eyes say otherwise. Even your scent is wrong. Humans, I take it. Well, I haven’t had any cross here before, but I’ve heard of you.” Her arm shifts back into the claw form. “And right now, you’re trespassing.”
  111.
  112. “Then, we’ll leave. If you could just direct us to an exit that’ll-“is wall you could say before Gal pulled you back, a kick ready to aim at your head. “Y-you crazy bitch!” She just looks at you and readies her stance, her right gauntlet making a *snikt* noise as a blade comes out.
  113.
  114. “If you want to leave, then fight.”
  115.

  130. >Guy, Magic Missile: 75+5 = 80
  131. >Gal, Attack 54+16=70
  132.
  133. Gal shoots off, her swords raised to attack, slashing from both sides to attack. The Darkworlder backs of, striking back at her shoulder. Gal deflects it and strikes again, crossing swords with her before getting a kick to the stomach to knock her back. She rolls up and when she looks up, the Darkworlder is right in her face ready to stab.
  134.
  135. “MAGIC MISSILE!” You shout, firing the arrow of pure magic at the Darkworlder’s shoulder, causing her to fly back and hit wall.
  136.
  137. “Damn humans. Can’t take your eye of them.” She runs forward, straight towards you, but you roll out of the way, firing an incomplete arrow which causes her stumble and give Gal an opening to attack, slashing at the demonic arm. A finger is cut off and dissolves into smoke before she back hands Gal making her roll in to the wall some ways from you.. “Let’s see how you do when there’s only one of you!”
  138. She points her hand towards Gal, a ball of energy forming to strike. You rush as fast as you can, getting in the way. “THUNDER WALL!” The shield forming between you two right as she fires.
  139.
  140. ROLL TO HOLD THE WALL. 1D100+7 BO3
  141.
  142.
  143. >88
  144.
  145. The shield holds up, crackling with energy, as the energy ball hits it. You feel your magic drain out as it digs into the wall, every crack being form felt on your skin. Taking no chances, you pick up Gal over your shoulder and ready to run for when the wall breaks, but before that happens the wall releases a small discharge, not disrupting the energy ball, but striking outward, scorching the ground and the weeds. The Darkworlder dodges some arcs of lightning before getting hit with three and sliding back.
  146.
  147. “HUMAN. It seems you’re stronger than you look. Then let’s see how you’ll deal with some more.” Another energy ball forms in her hand, striking the wall causing more cracks. You quickly jump from your cover and feel an explosion push you forward as the wall shatters and the energy balls hitting the wall. You groan, trying to get back up as Gal rolls on to her front.
  148.
  149. “Still alive?”
  150.
  151. “Drained, but fine. Think you can by some time for me?”
  152.
  153. “Planning to go super?”
  154.
  155. “Yep.”
  156.
  157. “Sure.” You roll back on your feet, Thanatos forming swords in your hands, as you poise, ready to throw.
  158.
  159. “You’re planning something. But I don’t mind playing you, male. Just try not to die too soon.” The Darkworlder says, taking her stance
  160.
  161. ROLL 1D100-5 BO3 TO THROW
  162.
  163.
  164. >79
  165.
  166. You throw the swords in your hand towards her, one being deflected while the other strikes the ground in front of her, freezing the ground. She steps in the growing ice patch, her foot getting frost on it, before leaping back, coming from another direction. You make a napalm sword form in front of her, exploding it but she escaped, cape singed.
  167.
  168. You throw more swords, wind and earth ones in the mix, hoping to get her, as she deflects the lighter swords, dodging the earth swords, but getting some cuts from the wind swords, black drips of blood dripping on the ground.
  169.
  170. You continue this, keeping her back before she lets out a roar, her arm glowing red. Holding in front, the swords that hit it are dissolved into nothing, including the Earth ones. “She’s getting serious, isn’t she? Shit.” You quickly think up a way to counteract that, but before you can, she rushes towards you again. You set up some stun and frost chains in her way, slowing her down, but not enough before she gets right in your face, hand ready to disintegrate your skin, before a torrent of flame strikes her in the eyes.
  171.
  172. “Get away from my Cousin!” In front of you, a flowing red of magma hair stands, an aura of fire covering her. Gal looks back at you, with her classic smile. “Ready to back me up?”
  173.
  174. You sneer, forming a Charge Sword in your hands. “Thanatos’ sensors state we have a while longer before we shift back to Dark Gate.”
  175.
  176. “Then we hold out till then.”
  177.
  178. A roar is heard again, the Darkworlder in a bestial stance. “Go!” You shout, forming more swords as Gal runs forward towards her.
  179.
  180.
  181. “Wind Cutter!” You say, a wind blade flying towards the Darkworlder in hopes of slice her, with Gal rushing behind it. She dodges the blade, before clashing with Gal’s, sparks being seen as Gal pushes her back, flinging her to the back wall.
  182.
  183. “Guahh!” she says, bouncing off the wall. She lays there on the floor for a while before getting back up, coughing up a bit of black blood. “So, you’re a strong human, aren’t you? What’s your name?”
  184.
  185. “…Gal. Gal Shoujo.”
  186.
  187. “And I’m-“
  188.
  189. “I care not for you, boy, hiding behind your girl like that.” You feel your face turn into a scowl at her words. “If you want me to recognize you, fight. As for you, ‘Gal’, my name is Nyx. I assumed it would be good for you to know the name of the one who will be killing you two.
  190.

  206.
  207. >Guy, Charge Sword: 97+5-5=97
  208. >Gal, Distract: 93+4=97
  209.
  210. Gal looks back to you, a string of words going unsaid in your gaze before you nod, a chant forming from your lips before Gal rushes forward, swinging her sword at Nyx. She blocks and dodges the blows and throws some out herself, but Gal is able to avoid them like nothing, causing Nyx to focus all her attention on her, which is what you want.
  211.
  212. Before long, you have a full set of 10 Charge Swords stored up and ready to fire. You grab one in your hand and ready to throw, making sure you have good aim, thinking what would happen if you were to combine it with one of your spells before Gal backs off of her sword clash, leaving Nyx to stumble forwards. “CHARGE SWORD, BOLT!” you yell, throwing it at her demonic arm. The sword flashes and crackles before speeding along like a lightning bolt as it leaves you hand, leaving the air to smell like ozone. She tries to stand back up and activate her disintegration attack, but it strikes faster than she can use it, piercing her palm and ripping the arm off at the shoulder. A roar is produced from her mouth, resounding in your soul and causing you take a few steps back in surprise along with Gal.
  213.
  214. Blood drips from her torn limb, smoking and evaporating on the ground. Chest heaving and fangs bared she looks right at you. “BOY! I WILL RIP YOU APART AND FEED YOU TO YOUR FEMALE. YOU HAVE MADE AN ENEMY OF NYX, FOREVER!” As she says the last words, tendrils come out her stump and race towards you.
  215.
  216. ROLL TO DODGE
  217.
  218.
  219. >55
  220.
  221. You try to roll of the way, but you mistimed the roll, going later than you expected. The tendrils rake across your side, taking a portion along with some of your thigh, causing you to stumble onto your back. They come around for another pass before Gal shoots fire to stop them.
  222.
  223. “BACK OFF!” She yells, running forward and slashing at Nyx but is quickly parried, Nyx jumping back to the wall and reattaching her arm to the stump.
  224.
  225. “Tasty,” she says, flexing her arm. “I might just devour you instead of feeding you to your female.” She licks her finger tips, as they turn back into her bandaged arm.
  226.
  227. “Fuck you,” is all you can say, biting through the pain. You summon a Charge Sword, using it as a makeshift cane to stand up, your remaining hand holding a regular sword in your hand.
  228.
  229. “Guy, are you-“
  230.
  231. “I’m fine. We just got to hold out for a while longer. Just a bit longer…”
  232.
  233. 3 TURNS LEFT UNTIL THE SHIFT

  248.
  249. >Guy, Freeze Chains: 47+5=52
  250. >Gal, High Speed Attack: 69+24=93
  251.
  252. Gal, worried for you and angry at Nyx, rushes forward, nearly a blur as strikes, her sword raking across Nyx’s flesh, sending blood to the walls and flesh to the ground. Flinching, but not fully backing down, Nyx swings, but Gal dodges, countering with her own swing, cutting her more.
  253.
  254. While she was busy with Gal, you tried to summon your chains to freeze Nyx in her tracks, but your stinging, open wound is enough you to fumble with your words, taking long than needed to sound the spell, before sending the chains out. Nyx notices and dodges the chains, causing them to hit the wall and freeze the area.
  255.
  256. You click your tongue and turn towards Nyx before backing away from a boot to the face, blocking her sword with your makeshift sword cane, before getting kicked in the stomach and hitting the wall. Gasping for air, you try to roll up, but just lay at your side as your leg can barely move. You turn your head to see Gal attacking Nyx, who seems to be tanking the hits with her gauntlet. Looks like she’s buying you time to get back up.
  257.
  258. ROLL 1D100+6 TO SEE HOW WELL GAL HOLDS UP
  259.
  260.
  261. >86+6= 92
  262.
  263. Gal slashes, bobs and weaves as she gets in close with Nyx, evading at super speed as she takes on Nyx. Nyx takes the hits, but still dodges her share, but most of Gal’s strikes hit her arms or legs.
  264.
  265. It takes you some time and fumbling to get your sword, but you managed to get up on one knee at least. You take a breath to get your bearings before you get a message from Thanatos.
  266.
  267. *This Nyx is a troublesome being. Are all Dakrworlders like this?*
  268.
  269. *Don’t have enough data about that Thanatos and I’m currently fighting for our lives. If you’re going to say anything helpful, don’t say anything.*
  270.
  271. *I am sensing you are angry. I would recommend that you take deep breaths and calm down.*
  272.
  273. *Yeah, like that’s going to help.*
  274.
  275. *In any case, while you have been fighting Nyx, I was analyzing any available options we may have. As I was doing so, I came across a mass of data that was encrypted. I have finished about 25% of the decryption, but everything else is currently locking me out. We might have a key to defeating Nyx with this.*
  276.
  277. “What?” is all you can say before you feel the heat of a hot flame in front of you. You look in front of you and see Gal glowing brighter than usual, her sword wreathed in flames. Nyx is currently stuck on the wall, digging herself out. Seems like she was blasted back.
  278. Thinking back on Thanatos’ words, you shout to Gal, “Buy me time!” A simple look back and a slow nod is all she gives you before she engages Nyx again.
  279.
  280. Fumbling with your COMP, you open up the encrypted data mass and shake your head. Seems like you’ll have your work cut out for yourself.
  281.
  282. 2 TURNS LEFT BEFORE THE SHIFT
  283.
  284. ROLL 2D100, ONE FOR DECRYPTION, ONE FOR GAL
  285.
  286.
  287. >Guy: Decryption: 100+16= 116
  288. >Gal: 69+6= 75
  289.
  290. FUCK THIS IS HARD. That’s all you can think as you decode, analyze, unpack and fix some unfinished code as you go through the remaining 75%. Thanatos chimes in every so often when you think you’re running in circles to lead you in the right direction, though a few times, some dead ends happen that nearly lock you out.
  291.
  292. You type and type, sweat beading down your face as you finally get to the last bit, typing out faster and faster until you feel blood flow from biting your cheek too hard. One last clack of keyss later, and you see something new come up. Blueprints for some sort of monster, but you’re unsure what will happen if you were to summon it. And what’s this thing that says, ‘Armos Connection: Green’? Will it bring Armos to you?
  293.
  294. Gal however is still holding strong, but she seems to be slowing down her attacks as she’s not moving as fast as she use to be. She must be tired out from all the constant fighting. Nyx notices this and starts attacking faster, her own attacks hitting Gal’s limbs, even taking slashes to do her own on Gal.
  295.
  296. It’s not long before she gets kicked by Gal, skidding on the ground as Gal flares up again, her flame aura ready rising as raises her nodachi, yelling out, “Sword Inferno!”, fully placing the sword in her mouth and grasping the other swords in her hands and blasting of in a fiery rush towards Nyx.
  297.

  319. >Yes: Beast #9
  320. >Gal, Sword Inferno: 98+26
  321.
  322. Gal’s barrage of slashes strike at Nyx, tearing her apart and setting her on fire. Each attack sending blood and smoky flesh like a blender. You though what burnt Darkworld smelled like, but you hope you never have to again. She ends it off with one final slash of her nodachi, nearly cutting Nyx in half from the shoulder before her flame snuffs out.
  323.
  324. “Shit, Gal!” you yell, before Nyx kicks her away, a bandaged hand to Gal’s side. She coughs up blood before being sent to the wall next you. Nyx nearly stumbles as she does, her wound leaking blood as she makes her way towards you.
  325.
  326. “I thought I saw everything when I saw met humans. But you two, oh ho, you two. Only once has my arm been ripped off. Only once, have I been this damaged. Only once have I felt this shame. You want to know who did those three things? The archdemon who created me. Unlike them however, I’ll kill and devour you before you even have a chance to tell anyone.”
  327.
  328. Gal gets up the best she can, but she’s beat. She can’t handle much more of this. Your finger hovers over yes for a second, before you shake your head and select it.
  329.
  330. That’s when Thanatos started to glow and speak. “Activation ready. Fully mobilizing MB. Error, Bio material recognized. Recalibrating…. Accepted. Bio-MB Realized.”
  331.
  332. A beam of light is summoned forth from it, being sent to the heavens. The clouds turn dark before something falls from the sky. You lift your hand up to take notice what it is. You feel it in your hand before realizing what it is. “Scales?”
  333.
  334. A roar is heard before a black mass drops down. Nyx looks up only to be caught underneath the mass and flung from underneath it. She hits the wall hard and more blood comes out from her wound, coughing up some more before stumbling to get back up. “W-who?”
  335.
  336. *Bio-Mecha Beast Armos Realized. Battery life is full. Give directions to Realized Beast*
  337.
  338. A message pops up on your COMP, along with another message…from Armos?!
  339.
  340. *Master, it is good to see you are mostly alright. Do not worry, for I will protect you from this Darkworlder.*
  341.
  342. “Holy fuck, Armos? Is that you?”
  343.
  344. “Armos?” Gal says. “B-but he’s only a cute puppy!”
  345.
  346. *A dog, Madam Gal. But now, I am something more. Something to protect you. And protect I shall.* Armos stands up tall, looking ready to pounce on his prey. A selection of what seems to moves appear in front of you.
  347.
  348. ARMOS ACTIONS:
  349. >Bite
  350. >Swipe
  351. >Grapple
  352. >Black Shot
  353. >Frenzy Wave
  354. >Hell Raise
  355.
  356.
  357. >HELLU RAIZU: 98
  358.
  359. Bite, Swipe and Grapple looked bland, Black shot and Frenzy wave seemed cool. But you won’t deny that Hell Raise didn’t peaked your interest. And so you pressed that and saw the battery drop down to 60%. Holy fuck, this better be worth it. It is then you hear a low rumbling voice come from Armos’ direction.
  360.
  361. **And so I walk through the Valley of Death, to which beasts lay,
  362. From where blood soaked ground lie
  363. And bone ridden ash reside,
  364. Yet I fear not one, for I rule over their stay.
  365. The valley awakens, ready to take its next meal.
  366. Let this sacrifice be enough to sate the slave,
  367. And let its control be maintained under my heel.
  368. With this, the gates have opened, HELL RAISE.**
  369.
  370. At the last word, the ground underneath Nyx turns black and swirls underneath her feet. She quickly tries to jump out and escape, but the ground seems to suck her in, the swirling going faster and faster, pulling her in from her feet. Her demonic hand is formed and tries to disintegrate the ground, but she quickly throws up blood. You think why, until you remember that she called your blood “tasty” when she reattached her arm. Possible that she eats with her hand?
  371.
  372. Regardless, the ground starts going faster and pulling her in more as she struggles more and more, her forcing herself to disintegrate/devour the ground underneath. It isn’t long until only her head and upper body remain. She roars and screams as she gets pulled down to this “Valley of Death”. Quickly though, she grabs her demonic arm with her regular one and PULLS IT OUT OF HER FUCKING SOCKET.
  373.
  374. “THINK THIS IS THE END, HUMANS? I WILL BE BACK. I’LL HUNT YOU TO THE ENDS OF THE DARKWORLD! I HAVE YOUR SCENT AND THE TASTE OF YOUR BLOOD ON MY TONGUE, BOY AND GAL. THIS ISN’T OVER YET!”
  375.
  376. The demonic arm, now bandaged, is thrown over into the direction of the court with all of the zombies. Soon after, the rest of her body is pulled down into the depths, your “hopefully” last sight of her staring angrily at you and Gal before her head is pulled under.
  377.
  378. Silence is only heard for a time before you calm down and feel yourself lean back on the wall, with Gal leaning on you. “…Well, this was freaky night.”
  379.
  380. “You’re telling me.” She snuggles closer into your arm, her face not so far from yours. “I thought you were almost dead with that swipe she gave you.”
  381. “Hey, I’m tough than you, Glass Cannon. But, thanks, for keeping her busy for a while.”
  382.
  383. “No problem. But I think we need to work on your speed.”
  384.
  385. “But-“
  386.
  387. “No buts. We’re working on that when you heal up.” You try to fumble out an explanation, before everything turns white again.
  388.
  389. You awaken some time later in the nurses office, is going to be a trend? You struggle to get up, but feel a pain in your leg. Oh yeah, fucking Nyx. You lie back down and hear pit-pat of someone before you feel your hand getting rubbed by something. “Oh, Armos is that-“You turn and nearly scream out as you see a giant hound, probably as big as you are tall, resting it’s head on your hand. “Armos, what the hell happened to you?!”
  390.
  391. **I grew flesh, Master. My skeletal frame is still metal, but now I have flesh covering it. It is not bad, still requiring no sustenance, yet rest is required. Odd, but not bothersome.**
  392.
  393. Okay, and now your dog is talking to you. Can this get any weirder? “Alright, but how did you…THANATOS!” You scream out, trying to summon it, yet only getting a charge sword instead. “The fuck? Whatever, I’m getting up.” You quickly get up and move the curtain before you hear sneezing from the other bed next you.
  394.
  395. “Mind keeping it down? Trying to sleep.” It sounds like a nasally Gal from there. You quickly hobble over and open the curtain, seeing her wrapped up in blankets. “G-Guy? I thought you were still out.”
  396.
  397. “I just woke up. What is this set up?”
  398.
  399. “Recoil, Shonen.” You turn and see Tekina with a clipboard. “It seems that whenever Gal goes into her…..other state, she becomes like this afterwards.”
  400. “Wait, like a Demidemon power?”
  401.
  402. “Exactly like one. Though it’s a lot more than a cold. She’s flaring up her body’s heat and crashing afterwards.”
  403.
  404. “Her body heat? Can’t she get that back? Doesn’t seem that big of a drawback.”
  405.
  406. “It isn’t until you realize her body temperature is below the average 37°C of a regular human’s after she calms back down.”
  407.
  408. “Below? She permanently lost heat?”
  409.
  410. “Correct. And what do you think will happen after she uses that ability for too long?”
  411.
  412. “A stronger recoil, leading to a much lower core body temperature.”
  413.
  414. “Also correct. Now, before, her core temperature was below 35°C. I’ll have to run check on her new core temperature is. Till then, since you’re injured, I recommend you stay in your bed.” You think about arguments you can make, but once Tekina gets a choice, she tends to stick with it. Looking back at Gal, who looks away at your gaze, you return to your bed and lay there. Armos comes over and rests his head in your lap, you pet him one last time before you close your eyes and get some rest.
