- Not now… not now! Baiken could feel her incredible strength slowly waning. Ki was a finite resource, and she was running through hers like rocket fuel. It was the only thing keeping her upright at this point. With nothing to do but focus, Baiken closed her eye, extended her senses, and… there! She spun around in a blur, launching her grappling claw with deadly precision. It latched onto empty air a few yards away, and as the claw compressed into its catch, Carolina shouted in pain and the cloaking panels on her armor sputtered and powered off. Baiken heaved with her torso and pulled Carolina over her head, bashing her into the rocks around the pond and the combat displaced earth over and over and over again. Finally, Baiken launched Carolina hundreds of feet into the air, crouching deeply before she leapt up to meet her prey.
