- The birth of Magiscience was thus upon us. United, the world crafted great miracles. Cities floated above the clouds and stood unwavering beneath the oceanic tides. Men had reached everywhere, even to the world's satellites. Weapons could now strike from all across a country with overwhelming precision. It was a great time. But this, unfortunately came to an end. The mystical devices which granted man power were now used for a much darker purpose.
- Once more, nobody knows when, or why, or even how, but a separatist faction had caused the emergence of bizarre entities, entitled the "Strangers". Reports speak of a giant metal sphere that covered the night sky, of a beast with a thousand or even more hands, and eyes floating in the still air around it etc, etc. In this situation, the world needed a quick response. This is where they gathered. Legendary warriors, heroes of the sort, possessing some of the most powerful Magiscientific devices gathered into a simple force of few men.
- After a century of war, the Strangers had been destroyed, and the world cleansed. Destruction however had been wrought upon many, and now, there was a very visible separation. Between the ones with the privileged to live in locations, protected from the elements and the wild creatures that roamed this twisted world, and those that actually LIVED in that twisted world. Fearing a war would be inevitable, with one side prone to corruption from the nigh absolute power over the other, and the less well-off side having basic needs which could be fueled and turned into a vicious revolution, a set of laws was designed. Any non-military level, non-peacekeeping personnel could not be allowed to use combat grade magiscientific devices. A license became a forced requirement to trade, invent, or even officially discuss advanced and combat purposed magiscientific devices.
- Some of these men, who were now bound by the new laws however believed that the truth laid elsewhere, in the subtle attempt of the governmental forces to gain power. They'd have none of it. Exiling themselves from the cities, they founded a rebel force, with the intention of undoing the government's influence.
- Enter, Tea Harel [Notice the obvious "Aetheral" anagram], hero of legend and the most politically powerful person in the known world. Empress Harel had in fact gained immense amounts of popularity through good publicity and her efforts during the Wars of Desolation being largely known to the public. She seemed to be a just ruler, enforcing very strict laws and having brought the law enforcement to its peak, but was known in private for her, let us say, less than humble manners.
- Even her clothing was a bit extravagant, with a dress that begun as a robe, with large, wide, detached sleeves, whilst the torso part was basically just a vest, with an elongated V-opening that went down to beneath her chest area, even though it was angled in a way as to reveal very little. From down there it continued into an open dress, and beneath it ANOTHER layer of a dress, all of this accompanied with the golden ornaments bearing the symbol of an eagle-dragon, the legendary beast that was taken to be the divine protector of her reign and empire. Behind her back floated a glowing golden discuss, the same color as her long, long hair, reaching down to the floor.
- She had visits. A man, about 1.80 meters tall wearing a fancy fur trimmed black coat, and an old fashioned fedora, who appeared to be around his late thirties, smoking a cigar, as well as having weird white hair came in, bowing only slightly and then speaking to the empress, his strange yellow eyes locking with the gaze of her pitch black irises.
- "As her Majesty knows, transport for our last prisoner has been arranged. I did as you ordered and tripled the guards, as well as gave them better equipment. Only the captain of the force has been informed of the priority of this mission, as well as the need for subtlety".
- Enter, Dr.Sonnemuz, head of the secret service. He had stated once that he had been a... man of medicine, although these claims are dubious. Nobody REALLY knows where he came from or what does he truly do, but what they do know, is that he is a very, very strict man. Alluding to his past, is a popular form of entertainment... in branches other than the secret service. [A popular one is the assumption he was a manager in a tomato packing plant].
- "You have done well."-the Empress commended him, before proceeding to sit on her throne, one as extravagant as to fit her taste, covered in precious gems and gold...lots and lots of gold.
- "Those lowly mooks will not dare assault us with such level of security. I am certain they know nothing of this prisoner, am I right?"-the Empress asked, her piercing gaze trying to look into the Secret Service Chief's mind. But Doc's mind was as impenetrable as a wall of steel.
- "Of course"-he said, finishing his report and leaving.
- Enter, Sonya Muse. Captain of the force assigned to transport this dangerous "prisoner", only known by an ominous nickname. The Iron Fist. She was around 1.75 meters tall, with white, slightly wavy hair and green eyes. Her body had decent curves, and the size of her feminine assets, both in the front and behind did not disappoint. She wore a pair of form fitting dark blue pants, and in the top a silver coat, buttoned and once more tight against her chest and arms, while from the waist down it remained open. It had the symbol of the large ethereal dragon with eagle wings, feathered head and talons, as well as a long serpentine body and toothed reptilian mouth, the eagle-drake. In one side of her waist lay a beautiful, ornate rapier in a clean white sheath while in the other, a pistol.
- The rest of the caravan were a good number of soldiers, over a hundred, covered in armor, imbued with magiscientific devices as well as wielding large double barreled guns. Sonya did not need that kind of thing. The enchantments on her rapier and pistol put her leagues above the average soldier. The carriage was a large, cylinder of metal, carried around by a vessel resembling some sort of flat platform with wheels, commanded by one soldier with a remote.
- Then suddenly.. POW! A large missile was fired in the midst of the soldiers. A few of them were killed of course, but that is the way things go. Suddenly, from his hiding place behind some thick bushes emerged a tall, at least 2.5 or even more meters, muscular, green skinned creature. Its canines were large, and it had two small horns emerge from its forehead, and he had long, spiky black hair falling down to his back. But the shape of the creature was pretty humanoid. It had metal armoring over its chest as well as large gauntlets on his hands, however fitting the size of his fists, with glowing lines of energy in them. It fired a second missile, but in a movement that was immensely swift, Sonya unsheathed her rapier and severed the rocket in two. The explosion did not even seem to damage her, but some soldiers around did have their armors torn and were thrown away.
- The creature then picked up its other weapon, a large machine-gun and started firing on the soldiers. They had however begun mobilizing and mounter a counterattack, ready to fire at the creature with their guns. This attempt was cut short by a series of orbs falling among them from different directions, before exploding into smoke. From one of the gauntlets sides, a visor emerged, and the ogre put it on, enabling it to trace the heat signs of the guards, and easily murder a lot of them with the machine-guns weird blue laser bullets. Sonya had however charged out of the smoke and in a moment, using her apparently super-human speed, placed her pistol at the ogre's head, ready to shoot him. This attempt was cut short by an unidentified kick in the face.
- Then one in the back, and then a few punches. Sonya finally gathered herself and noticed a figure dresses in a black suit, face covered except for the eyes, the only part...covered by a visor, similar to the ogre's. It sent out a few metal "stars" at her, which she quickly deflected, but yet, she was not ready for the smoke bomb following, and then a harsh physical retaliation. Sonya had been forced to make a retreat.
- The remaining soldiers gathered around the cylinder, ready to defend it, however the continued assault from the ninja and the ogre was too much to bear. Almost all of them died. The last one, the one with the remote, tried to DO something about it, but it obviously ended in a failure as the controls were not responding. This is when he heard a voice from behind.
- Enter Andrea, the Rebel Scientist... and other things. She wore a clean and neat lab-coat, had a slim build, long brown hair and a very slight tan, as well as blue eyes. She had a... strange smile on her face. Like that of a truly good person, but... well, people couldn't even MAKE assumptions about her past like with Dr.Sonnemuz. Who was she?
- "Hello... I believe you have some sort of issue with that device. Please, hand it over"-she kindly asked. This is where the soldier did a stupid thing and tried to shoot her. Moments later, the soldier was lying down in the ground with Andrea having the remote in her hand, setting the platform to advance toward Sonya and explode. She easily dodged, but the Cylinder was damaged. This is when something... could be heard coming from it. Loud, anguished cries of a man, and then followed by the punching into the walls of the prison. Soon enough, the metal was torn off.
- "Well Epic, I believe our job here is done. Senpai and I will stay here to take our new ally to the base"-she instructed as the ninja quickly moved to her side. The prisoner was soon out, having torn the prison with his bare hands.
- At least 1.9 meters of height, with a body that had... well, a LOT of muscle, hair styled in a mohawk fashion, and wearing nothing but a pair of baggy red pants and boots, he let out a fearsome roar. Sonya had called for reinforcements, as she went after the ogre. Reinforcement did come, in the shape of a nearby aerial vessel, letting in numbers of less armored soldiers.
- "YOOOOOUUUUU! NOTHING! RESTRAINS! ME!"-the rage of the Iron Fist had been calmed. Focusing, he unleashed his terrifying technique, True Grasp. Making a punching movement in the air, a large, ethereal punch went towards the soldiers, passing through them as pale shades in their likeness were swept away, far away. He had knocked the very souls out of their bodies.
- "Hello sir! I believe.. Iron Fist?"-Andrea asked. Calming down for a second, he responded.
- "Who are you?"
- "My name is Andrea. Rebel leader of this specific area, and further. We fight to end the oppression of the governmental laws and for..."-she was cut short by the question of Iron Fist.
- "Do I get to hunt down the ones responsible for my imprisonment?"
- "Yes...you do"-and with that, the Iron Fist smiled.
- "Show me the way".
- In the forest, Epic was having a hard time escaping Sonya's relentless assault. He had already sustained armor damage in his back, and a few deep gashes around his chest, legs, and arms. He tried to punch her, but with a swift dodge and following rapier unsheathing she marked his chest once, and once more leaving a cross shaped scar over it, and then re-sheathed her weapon. Epic tried to run away, now he was weaponless, unable to fight back against an enemy so agile and well versed in close quarters combat. She took out her pistol and shot his shoulder, causing him to fall down on the ground and crawl.
- "Andrea. Requesting immediate spatial dislocation. Requesting immediate spatial dislocation!"-he spoke to an area of his gauntlet. His voice was deep and strong... yet a hint of pain to the fact he had sustained some damage. As Sonya stood to cut him apart once more, he rolled on the ground, dodging it, and then kicking her in the legs. Soon enough, rings of white light formed around him...one..two...three...four... they added up quickly, causing him to disappear. His attempt to divert her from the rest of the group had been successful, but at his own risk.
- Sonya sighed. Her mission had failed. Even though she did well, her team was now dead, and the prisoner escaped. The rebels, had now a new member in their ranks.
